      Overview
      Nu·sa·pa·sim /nusapasim/

The Republic of Nusapasim is an island country in the Indian Ocean, situated approximately 400 kilometres (250 miles) off the coast of East Africa across the Mozambique Channel. It is the world's second-largest country that consists primarily of islands after Indonesia. The nation consists of the island of Nusapasim, the fourth-largest island in the world, and its surrounding islands. Following the prehistoric breakup of the supercontinent Gondwana, Nusapasim split from the Indian subcontinent around 88 million years ago, allowing native flora and fauna to evolve in relative isolation. Consequently, in addition to flora and fauna brought to the island by its first inhabitants from Southeast Asia, Nusapasim is a biodiversity hotspot with over 90 per cent of its wildlife being endemic.

Austronesian settlers arrived from Indonesia by outrigger canoes before or during the fifth century AD. The Hindu Arangirak Kingdom was established in the latter half of the eighth century. The kingdom consolidated its hold upon the entire island, mainly inhabiting Nusapasim's coasts, and denied the Bantu peoples who attempted to migrate to the island. The island's inhabitants maintained their Hindu and Austronesian roots and traded frequently with Indonesian kingdoms up to the 17th century. The Majapahit Empire contributed largely to Nusapasim's culture through large waves of migration to consolidate its dominance over the Indian ocean.

After the fall of Majapahit in 1527, Nusapasim fragmented. By the early 19th century, most of the island had become united under the Kingdom of Nusapasim. The kingdom ended in 1897 when the island was absorbed into the French colonial empire, from which it proclaimed its independence in 1940 and was recognised by France later in 1960. The republic emerged from a period of instability that began after it proclaimed independence and ended in 1958, through which it had seen three systems of government. In the early years of the Cold War, the Furungnawar administration closely aligned Nusapasim with the west despite the nation joining the Non-Aligned Movement in 1962. The administration, ruling from 1958 to 1970, was characterised by strong anti-communist sentiment, authoritarian guided democracy, and free-market policies that encouraged foreign investment, primarily from the US and Japan's rapidly rising economy. After the administration, Nusapasim has been a constitutional liberal democracy. Throughout the Cold War and to this day, Nusapasim has been a close ally of the US, becoming the stepping stone for US projection of influence into sub-Saharan Africa.

Once a destitute and impoverished islands that ranked highly among the world's least developed countries, Nusapasim is known today as an industrialised country with a developed market and a fairly diversified high-income economy. In Africa, it is the only developed country with the second-largest nominal and PPP GDP behind Nigeria and the largest nominal and PPP GDP per capita. The nation ranks highly in freedoms, democratic governance, peacefulness, and living standards, is one of the primary investors of the economies of sub-Saharan Africa, and is the only full democracy in Africa. It is a member of the African Union and a global partner of NATO.

      History Since European Contact

      1500
Diogo Dias, a Portuguese navigator, became the first European to visit the island.

      1513
The Portuguese settlement Matatana was established on the south coast.

      1524
Bara Kusim became the last Majapahit trader to depart from Nusapasim.

      1792
Kurung Juwang established the Prime Awareness movement to counter European assimilation through education and awareness. Similar organisations were established in the following years.

      1800
The Kingdom of Nusapasim was established to combat European imperialism and unite the island.

      1897
The French were able to pressure the Kingdom of Nusapasim and absorbed it into the French colonial empire.

      1924
Youth movements from Prime Awareness vocalised suppressed demands for freedom from France. These movements were usually suppressed.

      1935
Communists led by Marko Suflanc and Pierre Cabant joined the independence movement.

      1940
France surrendered and fell under Nazi German occupation. The independence movement seized the vacuum of power and proclaimed independence from French colonialism. The colonial government was soon ousted and a preparatory government was established.

      1946
Communists attempted to seize power but were brutally suppressed.

      1947
After the end of the Second World War, France attempted to reoccupy Nusapasim, launching Operation Consolidation and capturing Kodya Ibu.

      1951
French atrocities and psychological warfare were condemned by the international community. This led to the United States and other countries recognising Nusapasim and applying diplomatic pressure against France.

      1958
French troops left Nusapasim. The Furungnawar administration began, characterised by anti-communist sentiment, western alignment, and authoritarianism.

      1959
Nusapasim joined the Non-Aligned Movement despite its increasingly close alignment to the west.

      1960
It became apparent that Nusapasim was experiencing an economic miracle, later called the Wungunan. A positive economic outlook invited more foreign investment from the United States and Japan, fostering the already rapid economic growth. Wungunan also impacted some African economies positively

      1962
By signing the Treaty of Mutual Assistance and Security, Nusapasim joined the US nuclear umbrella and relations with the United States were further solidified.

      1972
The Furungnawar administration was ended by the April 1972 Protests in Kodya Ibu for democratisation. Elections deemed free and fair were held.

Hello!

Right now, not sure. But I'd eat a hot and soft fern vegetable if it was served. It's got the best porridgy texture.
