So... while I'm not taking the guy above seriously, I'll use this space to put in my thoughts about restarting the RMB Awards. Mad Jack Is Rejected Jewish Partisan Division and Liberza might be interested.

We currently have five metrics from which to rank players: number of posts, likes received, likes per post, likes given, and original characters written. The fourth (likes given) is now a no-go as well as possibly the first. Because we're trying to discourage junkposting. Do we have opinions on rankings one, two, three, and five?

Likes received will likely centralize around people we'd want to award. As would original characters written (prolific roleplayers). Likes per post always put NationStates Moderators at the top and from there it's a bit of a wildcard.

Obviously we can exclude suppressed / deleted posts and BSPed players. Even deleted or CTEd players can be ignored.

Are there any new awards we can think of that might work well with the current state-of-the-RMB? Do we need to add negative factors that discourage certain kinds of behavior? I was wondering if I could do something like "unsuppressed posts - suppressed posts".
