It had been a while since the Daughters last came in contact with the Crimson Axis. The Burmecian rebels had been going about their own thing, mostly. However, after many months under the radar, the Daughters have reemerged and contacted Nidia.

The message itself was from Princess Dimitra, daughter of Syn.

"Hey, Nidia. We've been doing some more raids in the Colonial Reach of Sakoor. Got some new equipment, supporters, and ships to help the cause. That's not why I called, however. During a raid along the border worlds, a couple of our smugglers stumbled across something powerful. An artifact of sorts that the Sakoorans had kept under lock and key. I like to think they just forgot about it, but not likely. Whatever's in there is so dangerous, they had to glass the planet for it."

"I can explain more once you're here. You still got that Sovereign IFF that mother gave to you? You'll need it in your ship to get past the watch stations without alerting anyone. Don't worry, the Sovereign's not the issue here. It's what they left behind that worries me."

"Coordinates will be encrypted into this message. We await your arrival."

Archosaur

Development

The Archosaurian Empire begins further development mainly focusing on defensive installations to defend their planets and hab stations, as well as introducing further civilization into the hinterlands.

They start by building Ultratech scanners, gravatational wave scanners, and neutrino scanners, along with defensive platforms along important hyperlanes and routes along the Archosaurian empire, meanwhile the border realms and it's newly built jumpgates are finished alongside numerous defensive systems which are wired into the numerous Aionic overseers and even the Archsaur herself. Beam weapons are constructed to defend against missiles and other projectiles and these weapons are manned by aionic units to ensure fast reaction times and perfect accuracy. They would use hyperfog to quickly build up these constructs along with utility bots.

With the influx of all the newly gained resources from trading, a new project would begin within deep space, unknown to most except the Archsaur and her underlings.

Separated stars

Development
Continuing its efforts to improve the industrial capacity of the Imperium, INRES constructs a facility on a black hole to investigate the properties of it and to begin harvesting energy and exotic forms of matter from it.
The power harvested from it helps power a the massive industrial effort underway to improve the production capacity of the massive forgeworlds and build even more.

The retrofuture

Governmental Revision
Due to the diminishing returns on hyper-authoritarianism the INGCAP party begins toning down its surveillance of outer area planets, returning them to a normal amount of policing. A total of 60 planets have their security toned down to pre-INGCAP levels, with 30 more having their security reduced by a significant amount, but still very tightly policed. The last 10 are secure as ever, being home to the central governmental structure.

Nidia Flores, after having her nails done, arranges for a small Frigate with multiple small fighters to escort her to these coordinates, with her IFF still with her. It had been a long time since the Daughters of Reis had communicated with the Axis. That was all good, for it meant they were doing their jobs. But there artifacts they supposedly found... Certainly interesting. Nevertheless, she went out to the location, scouting ahead for their location.

The location leads her small fleet to a Sakooran Border world along the edge of a nebula. The world itself was frozen over and barren, also dotted with craters, signifying that this planet was glassed sometime in the past. A Daughters Hyperion Cruiser was in orbit, which sent a transmission to Nidia's vessel.

"Welcome to Dekanoid XII, Ms. Flores. Princess Dimitra is already on the surface, near one of the remnant cities. Be careful down there. The Sovereign's reports on this planet are...disturbing to say the least."

As her fleet responds by settling down on the surface, Nidia walks out in her authoritative position, but not enough to appear unapproachable to the Daughters of Reis. Only to her enemies...

"I can see that. Apparently this planet looks like it's been through a lot. I hope none of you died here. We would arrange a proper funeral."

Nidia walks with El Boquita, her bodyguard and sidekick, following close behind.

"Ay, Nidia. This planet looks unsafe for walking on. Are you sure you don't need assistance?", Boquita questioned.

"I'll be fine, Boquita. I've been in worse places."

Nidia walks until she approaches the princess.

"Dimitra, I do hope that this artifact you found is...helpful to us. I am happy to see you here and healthy."

Sueño stared at Bhaepe for a long time in an almost disappointed gaze, then snaps as the chains pull back Bhaepe up to the roof.

After, Sueño wipes his face with his hands, understanding the risks being taken for this plan. He needs confirmation...

She motions towards the ruined Sanctum structure just behind. "That right there is where they kept their secret artifact. We're still punching a hole inside, but I got a good idea of what we're dealing with."

Dimitra leads them inside of the base, where the Burmecians were going about either scrapping the place for parts or trying to utilize the area for their own purposes. Dimitra points towards an elevator shaft. "Down there leads to the dig site. The orbital glassing collapsed most of the cavern where the Sakoorans brought up the artifact, so we've been busy clearing it out. Shouldn't be much longer. While we wait, tell me something...are you familiar with the name 'Sayyidina'?"

"I have heard of her name, but mostly around this space. Nowhere else is her name mentioned that much. But I hear she is powerful, though I don't know how much power. If, however, these artifacts have something to do with her, then I believe we can benefit greatly from such things.

With a creak, the elevator slowly descended.

"She's the Empress of the Sovereign, a very, I mean very power psychic individual. We don't know much, but she's not even a corporeal being anymore, from what I know. She resides in the Immaterium. Most humans call it the warp."

She pulls out a datapad to read over some notes.

"The Sakoorans and their human pets worship her as a Goddess amongst mortals. Apparently, she's the genetic template for every Sakooran alive. That's all we really know. What you want to know is how this artifact is connected to her.

It's a Shard of Sayyidina, as it's called. We don't know much about them, other than that they are extremely psionically powerful. They were just a rumor to us, one initially believed to have been created to discourage rebels from uncovering lost secrets. We tried to bring in a pair of telepaths and they went mad within minutes. However, if we control this thing, it could greatly contribute to both the Daughters and the Axis."

Eventually, the elevator came to a stop and creaked open. They were in an icy cavern, with mining equipment scattered around. Judging by the pattern, most of this was recent excavation from the Daughters of Reis. At the bottom was a massive crashed freighter, seeming abandoned their for years.

"Human-made freighter, that one. Almost as old as the Sovereign itself. It sank beneath the ice during the bombardment."

"This planet...it shows that it's been through a lot..."

With a touch of a button on her wristband, a black fur coat emerges on her body as her style is changed, even her hair is now in a pony tail. It all happened in mere seconds.

She looks around, admiring the ice, noticing the hard work of the Daughters. But some of them going mad...this was troublesome. If they couldn't reach this vital artifact, it could mean a great loss for the Axis and the Daughters. If only...maybe...no, it would be too worrying...no, she had to.

"If you could, I would suggest sending me in to deal with the artifact. I've seen some mentally disturbing things in my lifetime. I've been to horrible asylums, visited two chaotic dimensions...I think I can take care of this."

Immediately Boquita propped himself up, following this whole time without uttering a word.

“Oh, the replication project? One moment...” Standing almost motionless for a few seconds...

Oh. There it is. Walking in. Looks just like her before the whole street jumping. Eyes too, thankfully not lethal on the copy, and just imitation. Wearing the same dress she got into the limo with, and walking up to stand about a foot in front of Ixaxu...

“So, think this will work?” ...Voice coming from it starting as a copy of Ixaxu’s, but shifting quickly to match Bhaepe’s by the end of the sentence. Vocally identical. Ixaxu no doubt directly controlling it.

Sueño observed the figure, clearly impressed with stance and similarity. This plan could work...but he needed to make sure Cardenal was on board as well, for he knew that the Head of Influence would play a huge part in this.

In mere moments, El Cardenal arrived, looking at the Ixaxu clone with the same admiration.

"It is truly a magnificent marvel, Sueño. One I could imagine from the likes of you and Ixaxu. But this plan...I've analyzed it over and over. It seems foolproof, but it has its potential risks if caught. The backfires of this plan if caught are significant..."

Sueño puts his hands on Cardenal's shoulders.

"There is nothing to worry about. Tomorrow, a Corvette will transport you and Bhaepe out of Omegarius and into Loanare space. You'll dock there, and you two will presume as leaders of Loanare. But remember your duty...for ruling this nation is not your true goal."

"Understood, Sueño", Cardenal replied.

As soon as she touched down, an ethereal whirl was heard as blood seemed to pour from the walls for a minute, followed by a deep feminine voice.

"Venom toothed vipers...slithering from the ceiling, down the walls...across the floors and into the halls..."

However, Nidia's vision returned to normal, with no sign of the blood from earlier. In fact, no one else in the chamber seemed to notice, not Dimitra who was watching from above, and not the Burmecian crew guarding the entrance.

Nidia became a little shook, especially since the sudden change in the environment a second ago, but quickly snapped out and kept on climbing down. Blood on the wall, with a creepy voice...always a good one, but not something she was always accustomed to.

As she kept descending down, a almost childlike sense of herself overtook the body. What was at the bottom, and was she supposed to be scared? Was she going to be alone down here, or for her full life? She was scared...but the only thing stronger than fear was curiosity. And she had to see more as she descended more.

At the bottom, was an entrance that seemed to be blown open, most likely through the use of demolitions. Just inside, the interior of the ship could be seen, seemingly leading down deeper into the vessel. There wasn't anywhere else to go but inside.
