The Army was the first of the branches to be formed, officially the "Merlovichan People's Army" (now simply "Merlovichan Army"). The next branch formed was the Merlovichan Maritime Combat Force (now simply "Merlovichan Navy"), which then consisted of only a few small gunboats. The Air Force was established much later in 1922, with the advent and widespread use of biplane aircraft, though remaining somewhat ceremonial until the mid 1930's. The Merlovichan Special Forces were split from the Army in 1962, and formed the 4th branch of the Armed Forces. The Special Forces primarily consists of highly-skilled and disciplined soldiers, such as paratroopers, marines and guerilla forces, though the most elite forces, commonly referred to as "The Lads" are shrouded in total secrecy by the Defense Department.

Head: Head Custodian Jonas Cities
