Well, thanks. I agree -- it is always nice to meet new folks. It's one of the main reasons I began sending a nation from region to region. The other main reason being just how many interesting and unique regions there are out there that I have no idea about.

By the by, your region's name made me think of something. Not sure if you like Dungeons and Dragons or actual play podcasts, but there's one called "The Rogue Elements" which I quite like. Seems like something folks in this region may have an interest in. I don't personally play DnD, but I love the setting and listening to podcasts where it's played.

Thanks! That looks cool. I've always thought DnD would be a lot of fun. I wouldn't be surprised if others were interested in it too. I dunno where the region name came from; I just thought it sounded cool.

I used to have a puppet I sent around to different regions. I should rez it.

It seems like it really depends on who you're playing with. I went to a couple DnD meet-ups at a local bar in my neighborhood, but it was sort of a bad mix of personalities. But I really think it has potential to be great fun, if you get the mix right. I am also of the opinion that it shouldn't be taken too seriously, which seems to sometimes throw off things.

Just for the sake of completion, I'll say that my all-time favorite actual play DnD podcast is "The Adventure Zone." By the same three brothers who do "My Brother, My Brother, and Me" (if you know that comedy podcast). Three brothers from West Virginia sit down with their father to joke around and record some DnD sessions, but it becomes something much grander, and is a really great story.

That sounds awesome! Do you have a link?
Yeah, you'd definitely need the right group to do it, and you should never take gaming to seriously. It's supposed to be fun.

IC: i'Ll RiP oUt YoUr OpTiCs!1!1!1

OOC: I'm not really into fantasy games all that much, especially medieval themed ones because apmost every fantasy game seems to have that theme. Minecraft could be an exception, but outside of sandbox it doesn't really belong to any genre...

To each their own. I like mostly SF, but I also like some fantasy.

Definitely have to start at the beginning. The original, primary story arc went from 2014-2017. The show has continued since then, but with different characters and settings and even games. But all of it is collected in the same feed.

Starts off extremely basic, but quickly figures out what it is.

There are sci-fi based Roleplaying games out there, I hear. The first I ever encountered was a "Star Wars" themed DnD-type game, back when I was in grade school. And, if you know what "Warhammer" is, the futuristic sci-fi version of the setting, "Warhammer 40K," had an RPG. I have also heard good things about "Stars Without Number"

As for non-Medieval fantasy, you may be interested in "Modern Urban Fantasy," as a general genre. There seem to be a good amount of RPGs based on that. "World of Darkness" and "Werewolf" are two big ones I know about. And "Urban Shadows" is based on urban criminal undergrounds and political corruption, with a fantasy twist.

"Call of Cthulhu" is a major Lovecraft-based tabletop RPG. It's quite popular.

And "Bushido" is an RPG about Samurai in Feudal Japan. Medieval, but non-European. By the same guy who started Dungeons and Dragons.

Well, it's been quite a nice stay with you guys, but it's time to ship out. This has easily been among the most conversational of regions yet visited during my journeys. Far larger regions have proven far less talkative. So thanks for that.

I wish you well, in the future. Perhaps we'll meet again :)
