Novo Tarea

Article I The Legislative Branch
Section 1
All legislative power shall be vested in the Constitution of Novo Tarea, which consist of the Senate and House of Representatives.
Section 2
1: The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members elected every second month.
2: No Person shall be a Representative who is not a citizen of Novo Tarea.
3: A census done once every three months shall determine the amount of seats in the House of Representatives. There should be one seat for every five citizens but there should be no less than ten seats in the chamber.
4: When vacancies happen in the House of Representatives, an election must be held to fill such vacancies.
5: The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and shall have sole Power of Impeachment.
Section 3
1: The Senate shall be composed of six elected members serving for six months.
2: Immediately after the first Election, Senators shall be divided into three Classes. The Seats of the Senators of the first Class shall expire in the second month, the Seats of the Senators of the second class shall expire in the fourth month, and the Seats of the Senators of the third class shall expire in the sixth month.
3: No Person shall be a Senator who is not a citizen of Novo Tarea.
4: The Vice-President shall be the President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote unless they be equally divided.
5: The Senate shall choose a President pro tempore who served as the President of the Senate in the Absence of the Vice President, or when he shall exersize the Office of the President.
6: The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all impeachments. When the President is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside. No Person shall be convicted without the concurrence of a 2/3rds majority of the Members present.
7: Impeachment cases shall not extended further than to remove a person from office.
Section 4
1: Each chamber may determine the Rules of its proceedings prior to every term.
2: Each chamber shall keep a journal of its proceedings and record each member's yea nay vote.
3: Neither chamber shall ajorn for more than three days if the other chamber is in session.
Section 5
1: No Senator or Representative should hold any other federal position during their term. No Senator should hold a Representative seat and no Representative should hold a Senate seat.
Section 6
1: Every Bill must pass both the House of Representatives and the Senate in order to become a law. If a Bill passes both the House of Representatives and the Senate, in order to become a law, it must be signed by the President. If the President does not sign it, it must be returned with his Objections to the chamber on which the Bill originated from. The list of objections will be recorded on that chamber's journal and a reconsideration vote will be held. If the Bill recives a 2/3rds majority, then the Bill will go to the other chamber to be reconsidered. If the Bill receives a 2/3rds majority, then the Bill will become a law.
3: Every Order, Resolution, or Vote (except for voting on the Rules or adjournment) shall be presented to the President for approval.
