On the topic of the next term, I would like to run for Outreach for the next term. I initially wasn't planning on running, but after specifying my schedule during the summer, I realized had some free time left for other activities. Plus, we haven't yet reached my personal goal of increasing the population to ~200 nations, so I'm hoping we can get to and surpass that number during next term.
I am humbled by the nominations, but I feel I do not have the education through your charters, rules, nomenclature standards etc enough to take on the role, nor do I know the other free territories here well enough to accept.
Although I am not in leadership, I thoroughly nominate Stroznia to continue with their role, as it seems things are holding well in that office.
I greatly appreciate such an offer so soon. But I feel it's not right
Thank you very much for the nomination! I am happy to accept and aspire to expand on our success in becoming a highly regarded and visible region for libertarian and liberation-minded socialists. Congrats to everyone else nominated as well.
Dispatch ideas that any nation/councilor might publish in the future:
Libertarian Socialism Ideals/Information resource list: could include The Libertarian Socialist Compendium, and could collect all the dispatches many of you in the region have created of resourceful lists and the shared political knowledge within the region.
NationStates Guides/help for new Members to NationStates
Welcome/General Region info dispatch, to be placed on the Master Dispatch. There is a welcome telegram for new members, and the WFE, but why not have another welcome?
List of Anchors for all these dispatches in one place, for the purposes of reference
History that is written of the region, Brief nation history of those in the region, History/Statistics of etc. in/of the region
For dispatches pinned to the region, I would only like to replace the Elections Guide with the start page of the Master Dispatch.
I would hold a survey about Master Dispatch preferences. The survey would also ask if the region is interested in having a Master Dispatch contest.
Thanks for nomination. I wonder what will be done after this nomination, because I actually lack enough energy to fully participate in our free territory's routine, agenda, etc..I am busy with making ends meet and volunteer jobs in my community in real life. If this nomination requires much time, I have no choice but to admit the fact that I probably cannot offer great efforts to comrades. Please do tell me my obligations in detail.
Thank you a great deal for the nomination but I’d like to decline it. I have been in the Foreign Affairs Committee for quite a while now and with the recent passing of the guidelines my personal goal has been achieved. So I’d like to get out of the way for other comrades to enter the committee and shape our Foreign Affairs better than I could.
However, I would be interested in moving over to Safeguard, so I’d like to nominate myself for that Committee.
Obligations: The Internal Affairs' role is to maybe organize any activities, the flag contest should be continued, and there's also the World Factbook Entry and Region tags and dispatches. You might be able to find something small if that's what you would like. Or it's okay if you are declining the nomination.
Here's about possible Internal Affairs activities:
I apologize for it that I cannot be qualified with this post since I'm afraid of dereliction of duty due to limited time. Would you please find another comrade to take this position? Thanks for your understanding.
Nominations have officially ended! Polling is being worked on and ballots will be open by the end of the day. Thank you, all, for your patience and cooperation!
Hello! Apologies for the delay. LSC CC Elections are officially open! Each link contains a separate poll for each commitee. Please follow all directions provided. Fore more information on the elections, please read this dispatch:

The Administration of the Libertarian Socialist Confederation includes the Founder (1 nation), World Assembly Delegate (1 nation), Election Secretary (1 nation), and then the Confederal Council (4 to 12 nations, with 1 to 3 nations being in each committee). In total, there are 7 to 15 officers in the region at any time, unless there is low activity or officers are transitioning.
In the Confederal Council, officers holding the same type of office are referred to as a committee (e.g., Foreign Affairs Committee). One officer in a committee is referred to as a Councilor (e.g., Foreign Affairs Councilor). There are 1 to 3 councilors in a committee. The 4 committees of the Confederal Council are: Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Outreach, and Safeguard.
The Election Secretary, WA Delegate, and Founder are all not a part of the Confederal Council.
The Confederal Council is on a 3 month election cycle. Within 19 days before the end of every term, both the Election Secretary and the entirety of the Confederal Council are re-elected. The Founder and WA Delegate are selected like most regions.
The Election Secretary organizes the Confederal Council Election, so is the first to be elected (when it is time for a new Confederal Council). This preliminary election takes a total of seven days.
Nomination and Confirmation (3 days)
For three days, a nation may nominate themselves or confirm a nomination from another nation, on the regional message board. In the LSC, all nominations (unless nominated by oneself) must be confirmed to be valid nominations. Therefore, if nominating another nation, please consider nominating early in this period.
Election of the Election Secretary (4 days)
If there is only one nominee for Election Secretary, then this 4 day step may be skipped at the Election Secretary's discretion.
To elect one Election Secretary, the vote will be held with a first-past-the-post vote. This means that the nation with the most votes/majority will be elected, even if this majority is below 50%.
Since NationStates’ regional polls allow a singular vote, the vote will be held in a regional poll. Any current councilor may set this poll up at the end of the 3 day nomination period. The poll shall last for 4 days.
The Election Secretary, once elected, will manage the next Confederal Council election.
Election Secretary Role
The Election Secretary’s role is to open nominations and record valid nominations, create and share the relevant polls, and announce the results. The Election Secretary cannot run for Confederal Council, but can be the Founder or WA Delegate.
7 days of Nominations: After being elected, “[t]he Election Secretary will . . . open a nomination and campaigning period, for all committees of the Confederal Council, that will last for 7 days.” Nominations may be recorded.
If a nation nominates their own nation, then that nomination is already valid.
If a nation is nominated by another nation, then their confirmation should be noted within 3 days, to prove they are active, or else the nomination will expire.
5 days of Voting: “After the nomination period has closed, the Election Secretary will organize a vote for each committee, running for 5 days.” There are four committees to be elected (Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Outreach, and Safeguard).
If there are 3 or less candidates running for any one committee, then an approval vote shall be held. Recently, Framadate, from the company Framasoft, has been used for approval polls. Before the service was discontinued, Disroot polls were used.
If there are 4 or more candidates running for any one committee, then a ranked vote shall be used to select the 3 councilors needed. It has been suggested to use rankedchoices.com. If taking this vote manually, then the Droop Quota calculation can be performed. Regarding the Droop Quota calculation, “votes [will be] transferred to the next preference each time a candidate is elected or eliminated in the process."
Reference Part II, 3 and 4, of the Charter for specific instructions.
Confederal Council / Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Outreach, and Safeguard Committees
The following cannot run for the Confederal Council: the Founder, the World Assembly Delegate, and the Election Secretary.
A 7 day period will take place for nominations and confirmations. Afterwards, committee elections will take place for a 5 day period. This process takes a total of 12 days.
Nomination period (7 days)
After the Election Secretary has been elected, all nations will be able to nominate candidates for 7 days. Nations may nominate others or their own nation.
Upon being nominated by another nation, your nation must confirm its candidacy within 3 days of, or the nomination will expire. A nation can only run for one committee.
Per the Charter, “During this period, candidates can make the case for why they should be trusted with the role, release a platform, and answer questions from other members of the region. . . . If there is [4 or more confirmed nominations for one committee] then the candidates may participate in a formal debate, respectfully and in good faith.”
Option 1) Approval Elections, for any committee with 3 or less candidates (5 days)
If there are no more than 3 nominations for each (the limit is 3 per committee), then an approval vote will be held.
Voters have 3 options for voting: approve, disapprove, or approve under reserve. If undecided or wish to abstain, choose approve under reserve. Voters are not limited to an amount of any of these.
For a candidate to be elected, a candidate must have more approvals (not including under reserve approvals) than disapprovals. A candidate is elected when the majority of the votes approve.
Option 2) Ranked Choice Elections, for any committee with 4 or more candidates
Each committee is only allowed 1 to 3 councilors. If there are 4 confirmed candidates or more for one committee, then a ranked vote will be held for that committee. The top 3 candidates will be elected to this committee.
Voting will be done with ranked numbers. 1 means that they are your nations’ favorite. 2 is your nations’ second choice, and so on. The application would calculate the results.
The nominees that either have had more approvals than disapprovals, or have been selected with a ranked ballot, will have been chosen by the region for their respective committees. If your nation has been elected, then refer to Part 1, number 2 of the Charter for how to proceed. Each term will be for 3 months before it is time for the next Confederal Council term.

Fill in ___'s and change both Month 's.
Change the URL for the Election Results.
Note: By clicking on __ days ago, the RMB post will be directed to a URL that can be referenced.
Add nations in from these Election Results.
Removing blank row space in table
For any blank rows, delete them (a row is from one tr to /tr, delete both and what's in between).
To get the table to look normal again, the td=r_ must have the 3 replaced with the amount of nations on that committee (change to 1 or 2, unless 3 is the correct amount).
Change Dates (and update or delete Countdown after) of the Upcoming Dates table, possibly with help of this date calculator. Start by moving the Successive Confederal Council's date to the Incumbent Confederal Council's date, and then deleting the other dates. Then, go backwards and forwards using the durations listed in italics to foretell the dates. If dates changed, then start with the date you already know.
In the row for the previous Delegate (now second to top row), remove all Current 's. Remove the URL in the Duration column. The Date End, Duration (reign), and Reason for Leave columns should be blank for the previous Delegate.
One nation takes up one row in this table. The information for one nation/row is in between each set of tr and /tr.
Add reports in the Reports column, and any extra information in the Other column.
By clicking on __ days ago, the RMB post will be directed to a URL that can be referenced.
If a report/information is by the whole committee, then use td=r3 or td=r2, and click Preview. Next, subtract one td unit from each row that visibly has an extra cell. When the table arrangement is right, link the report/other information in this new merged cell.

On the History page, the top line (has elected in it) will have the name and start date of the new Delegate. The next zero to two lines will have the previous Delegate's end date, duration of reign, and reason for leave.
Use the below image and table to find information. Don't forget the yellow and blue boxes on the image.
The following more specific reason(s) for leave are currently believed to be true; however, the No Reason Given and Lost WA Delegate status explanations may be incorrect: (RMB Sources:1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
◾ next nation had more endorsements (supported by known examples of Anatum's and Free Twigland's leaves) ◾ nation left the region (supported by known example of Levroux's leave) ◾ unknown
Lost WA Delegate status
◾ nation resigned from the World Assembly ◾ unknown
Ceased to exist
◾ nation was inactive until sent to Boneyard
Ceased AND Removed
◾ the Delegate ceased to exist with the only endorsement in the region, and now there are no endorsements ◾ Count as Ceased to Exist
