Bears Armed Mission has voted against the proposed resolution currently on the GA floor, 'Debtor Voting Rights', on the basis that it is unreasonable for the GA to tell its democratic members how to manage their elections while its many non-democratic members -- who would be unaffected by this measure -- are allowed to vote on this.

Short answer: Max. Longer answer: As defined, it also covers some measures that I (and the Bears) would consider acceptable for GA legislation... Rights such as 'Freedom of Assembly' (which would apply in all member nations, rather than just in the democratic ones), for example, and ones that only "urge" processes rather than "require" them.
Thank you! Someone with sense! Actually, by the looks of it, a lot of people with sense.
EDIT: Besides, the proposal is actually nearly unimplementable. It lacks the perambulatory clause, "Defines debt/debtor as..." I could argue that the debts the author is referring to are state imposed taxes. That would make it tax evasion, which results in a prison sentence usually in my nation. This would outright bypass the resolution.
Fascinating, never really bothered to look it up. Literally never met an Oscar who isn't Portuguese or Spanish. And same with Eloisa... and yes I've met a few of each... I digress.
Right. Don't vote against a proposal because it is short. Succinctness can be a very good thing. No one likes filler. Vote against it because of the fact that it is incredibly easy to circumvent and is therefore virtually pointless. WA proposals are supposed to be binding. This one really isn't.

Yep. Easy to circumvent. Only a little more useful than the League of Nations was.
also, Baseball Classic reminder. I'll be doing some friendlies with the first 3 nations to join in. https://theidu.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=105&t=1897&p=18396#p18396
I also voted against 'Debtor Voting Rights', felt like it was too open to interpretation and loopholes from either end of the aisle. The unknowns are too many in this case.
Thanks all - needless to say we’re all very happy.
Naboompu Yep - I’m from the UK. Eloisa was going to be Eloise but when we saw the former on TV a few days before she was born....
Oscar is the name of his maternal great grand father who is a Kiwi!
Trive 38 Let’s put marriage talks on the back burner - she is only three lol. That said until she comes of age we hope that she’ll develop a taste for good Trivian coffee.
Oh... Kiwi as in another name for a New Zealander. I totally had to do a double take after reading that. I was sitting there thinking: “Kiwi the fruit? Is he saying is grandfather is a basket case? Kiwi the bird? Is he saying his grandfather is a bird???” Then it dawned on me.
Congratulations again, and may your nation buy more of our coffee than Trive’s

Ah, TERRAFORMING! You seemed so simple in concept. IRL: It was the 26th of December and my Board Game loving extended family had just uncovered a new game: Terraforming Mars. How simple, how fun... 4 and 1/2 hours, two screaming fights, one torn rule booklet, and an overturned game board later, my family has vowed never to play the game again. We also vowed, on pain of death, to never speak the words: "terraforming" and "mars" together in the same sentence. To say the least, I want none of your terraformed coffee.
