I’m not a problem, it’s the homophobes and transphobes who are the problem that say we are the problem! I’m not indoctrinated or indoctrinating people, nor was I recruited to be pan and NB, I had some realisations and everything just resonated. There’s proof I was NB from when I was very young! Saying ‘I’m a boy’ never felt right, but I knew I wasn’t a girl… I’ve been reluctant to use male toilets, etc… When I was 4 or 5, I remember fingerpainting and painting my nails red and my Dad washing it off later and I got upset. I got a panic attack from seeing myself being referred to with he/him pronouns. If it is indoctrination or recruitment, why have I had all of these signs from since the time I was born? (I think. :P) Was I indoctrinated/recruited in utero? No! It’s not indoctrination, nor is it recruitment. It’s the fact that LGBTQ+ people exist, have existed for centuries and will continue to exist, and the fact that people have turned extreme misinformation into hate, usually on the basis of religion. There is no logical evidence for hate! Science supports the LGBTQ+ community! End racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, sexism, classism, misogyny, misandry, enbyphobia and ALL forms of prejudice, they’re not gone! Straight people don’t need a straight pride because they already have rights to marry in every country. We need pride because we don’t have equal rights, and there are so many people who get arrested, pepper sprayed, etc, at perfectly good protests! Same with BLM protests and women’s rights protests. If no one was discriminatory against people, we wouldn’t need these protests! I hope that there will be no hate in the future!

XXURBANXX wrote:Anyone like fighter jets?

No, I find myself to be scared of guns and bullets. I do remember one day, there were air force planes making circles over my house. It was loud! :P My French teacher lives a few towns over from me and he could also see them. I prefer regular planes, as I enjoy flying in them and the view. (I always sit in the window seat. :P) The one thing I hate is the fact that it’s bad for the environment, I wish we could have eco-friendly aviation more widespread! I don’t want to be contributing to global pollution by doing something I enjoy… :P

always felt though they're kind of missing something to not have little trains to ride around in them in place of sore feet from all the walking.

I prefer arboretums, there’s a really good one in Asheville, North Carolina with many places to sit, wonderful plants and a café. Unfortunately, I didn’t get anything to eat there because the café was closed. Luckily, there are many good restaurants nearby for you to get food at. The botanical garden in The Bronx does miniature train exhibitions and I think it also has statues and art sometimes, but I haven’t been in a long time. :P Also, the weather app said it was 32 or 33°C, but it said it felt like 39°C, or 102°F. It’s so hot! No wonder people wonder why I wear a toque and long sleeves in this weather! :P I’m weird. :P Every part of me is weird! My eyes, my ears, my tongue, my feet, my hands, everything! I can shake my eyes (voluntary nystagmus) and no one knows their colour! (I’ve had hazel, blue, green, rainbow, brown and other weird combinations. Most people say brown, green or hazel, but they’re not one colour and I don’t think it’s normal for hazel eyes to have irregular patches of silver… :P So, maybe they’re heterochromatic? Who knows! :P They also change in the lighting. They look clearest in sunlight. I’m a giant mess of weirdness! :P

Hmmm... I just noticed that Calenmor ranks 10th in Forest for length of residency. I am both both proud and saddened by the loss of so many of those who came before. All of Calenmor raises a toast to the nations of Forest's past on this unofficial Forest History day.

Heyo:

I'm interested in pursuing a career with either the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service as a Ranger, the Queensland Fishing and Boating Patrol as a Patrol Officer or the RSPCA as an RSPCA Inspector. I really like nature, the outdoors's, and I also think Veterinary Medicine is cool, but I also think Law Enforcement is the career for me. Which of those roles do you think would suit me? If anyone can think of any other jobs I might like, tell me!

Thanks!

The Rriknor of Einswenn

Over a month passed after the big political changes in Einswenn and things seem to gradually get better. Or do they? Sanië Surroi's supporters are not that enthusiastic anymore, carefully watching her each and every step. Nationalist opposition, which alone has more seats in the newly restored parliament (130) but losing to coalition of three other parties (80+50+20), claims Ms. Surroi's mistakes be the direct result of illegitimate usurpation of Einset government through chaotic street-elections which, they say, has nothing to do with proper, official elections. While their former leader Eivart Rriu is still considered missing, they demand on return to the Rriu's model of state before arranging another row of elections.

The royalists regret losing the southern colonial lands of Einset Dominion which now became a semi-independent state of Sehir. Anonymous sources from the crown palace leak some sentiments that the Queen is deeply unhappy with what the new government is doing, regardless of some minor rise of civil and political rights. As Sanië Surroi is planning on expanding diplomatic connections with Einswenn's neighbours and remote nations including Sehir, and rumour has it that Rakavo is about to sign some important agreements with Einset Government, the secret services prepare for hostile actions against Surroi's administration from within. What will that be: a sabotage from parliament parties? A return of Eivart Rriu? Or maybe Rakavoan agents want to assimilate Einswenn in their borders, partially or entirely?

The nationwide euphoria caused by those viral elections has eventually ended and people, now sober, realise that nothing has really changed except for the new, iffy, mediocre names and faces in the new government. The basically nonexistent army created an issue of whether to disarm Einswenn completely or to subsidise the field more than ever before to fulfill the gaps that Eivar Rriu has created by leaving the capital cities with most of the EINSAR manpower (some people speculate that he has covered himself in the hostile mountaineous range of the central Einswenn). The shade of glorious rule of the former presidents Jorden Frey and Casper Braaten don't let Einseters truly enjoy latest turbulences. Various activist groups try to negotiate with Mr. Frey to return to power and he seems to be hesitating while Mr. Braaten openly declines all the propositions to rule again:

    I had my fun in the Office, not gonna lie. We did an impressive job of bringing the nation into the breathtaking progress, climbing the new heights. Contunuing the policies Jorden Frey created and promoted, we added the new spicy taste of the youngest team in the government Einswenn has ever had. People liked it, we all saw so. But at the moment that was more than just enough, I'd like to see the new faces running the nation, preferably young ones (laughs). ― Casper Braaten, former president of Einswenn.

What, or who, surprised the public the most was Sanië Surroi herself. After being very transparent at first, she now almost never appears online or on the television. Maybe she just can't handle the harsh process of ruling such big and ancient nation, or maybe she has some great plans to announce. Whatever it is, the peace appears to be only visual, tensions inside the Einset society have not apparently ended.

  • Eivart Rriu with the TOP EINSAR commanders has fled urban areas to hide in the eastern mountains to prepare his counter-attack with the most of the army's manpower following him. People expect what they call "the Avalanche Event" when former dictator will try to strike the regional capitals on his way back to Keepehnest;

  • Unidentified flying lights are often seen in some mountaneous cities and villages at night, people link it to EINSAR's new technologies being tested there; some believe these lights spot the very location of Eivart Rriu while others say the lights have been there for ages and locals are used to it;

  • The Crown plans to expand their lands to some new colonial areas across all Forest, it's unclear if they want to do it as a private corporation (trade ports) or as a state body (governed dominions). In case of the latter, there's a major internal political conflict expected because the Crown doesn't formally have the right to expand Einswenn's borders or start new international campaigns. This right has been revoked by Eivart Rriu but not re-granted by Sanië Surroi;

  • The Crown accepts Sehir's autunomy but in frames of a new Commonwealth [to be created yet];

  • Einswenn is about to sign a new Treaty with Rakavo, details unknown. It could be either a military alliance or a declaration of friendship and cooperation. Or both;

  • Einswenn plans on broadening connections with Lura based on ethno-social situation in Southern Einswenn where many Lurans reside;

  • Sanië Surroi leans towards a total defund of the Einset army. Anonymous sources from her administration told the press that Ms. Surroi doesn't see any military threat to Einswenn in the entire Forest, even if it'll have no troops; she has a strong opposition both in the Royal House and the parliament so the issue stays unresolved;

  • Einset political establishment is disappointed in the Union of Forest. While Einswenn wishes to stay in this international organisation, there are some ideas for a new one that'd involve closest neighbours of Einswenn.

Among the latest policies enacted by the current government there's the return of the right to protest. People have been granted full freedom to express their stances as long as it doesn't include violence or other forms of harm to civilians and/or politicians. The society accepted this law in a surprisingly normal manner and the streets of Einset cities didn't turn crowded by protestors right away.

    We have reinforced our squads after the government told us they're about to cancel all restrictions regarding public protests that Rriu enacted earlier. We doubled street patrols in major cities of the nation yet there was no single sign of the protests to spark. This confuses me because I had to cancel my evening plans for pizza at the corner of Wideway Street, you know the one that serves the best hawaiian pineapple pizza in town, just to be on an empty street waiting for some heat. Not that I'm complainung but I literally can't reserve a table at the pizza house because apaprently all the potential rioters are dining right now. And I myself am hungry. ― Grego Laccar, Head Officer of Keepenhest City Police Department (KCPD).

Things look still today. So we can only wait for the hidden crisis to resolve and for these posts to become more fun-to-read than they are now. Uh.

Chan island

A factbook has come out saying a nation maintains normal international relations with Chan Island.

Guess there's a target the Chan Island pirates have forgotten to raid.

Thanks y'all. I don't mind this factbook being copied; it's a heavily modified version of someone else's diplomatic factbook to begin with. This set-up includes however the possibility to read the yellow items when you use the white rift skin (the original was probably based on the dark skin; I used the same set-up for some of my other nations and got complaints so I had to adapt...)

The country names in Rakeinne are sometimes translations, sometimes modifications of their names in English, sometimes derivations of other country elements (capitals, demonyms...), and need to conform to Rakeinne phonology. I think only two or three nations' names are in fact identical to their originals...

Edit: I just (re)discovered that usa is also the Rakeinne word for 'first', but it is declined a little bit differently: e.g. 'of Jutsa' would be translated as Udavo or Utika, while 'of the first' would be uhavo or ussika.

Yours was actually one of the easier ones, as I didn't have to think about it: I already had the three words 'democratic', 'republic', and 'empire' in my list of words so I only needed to put them in the right order (and the right case, for 'of the empire').
