well my personal favorite, so far, and its maybe once or twice in a decade, that i hear about one that's interesting enough to me
to want to go see it while its still in first run, was zootopia.

before that i think was the first men in black. and before that it was dark crystal, when it was just the movie.
only one i went multiple times and collected everything related to it.

and now that i'm thinking about them, i remember seeing fern gully, and there was one made in india, where all the creatures did a protest thing.
sure there have been others, the trek and star wars ones, there have been other's i've seen youtube and elsewhere. felidae and das magic's house.

1. Titanic.
2. James Cameron's Avatar
3. The Star Wars franchise

That's my top 3, but Titanic has been my favourite movie since I was 5 years old. That's the first time I saw the movie, and ever since then I have been fascinated with the ship Titanic itself, and the subject will always have an incredibly personal, and deep meaning to me.

Very unrelated to anything, I know, but I've been out for 10+ days give me a break

My favorite movie is called "A Silent Voice". It follows a boy around the age of ~17 named Ishida Shoya who, when he was in middle school, was a bully to a deaf girl, and goes on a path to redemption. Among other things, it's a movie that touches on self-redemption, depression, disability, and suicide.

I don't watch movies often because of an eye problem i have and it made me very selective about what movies to watch. I usually choose crime-dramas. Most of them are slow paced and lacks boomy action but i don't like loud scenes anyway. I don't have a single favorite, instead, multiple "good" movies:

1. Sin City
2. Double Indemnity
3. Chinatown
4. Road to Perdition
5. Infernal Affairs

Anyone got any sensible advice to stop swallows from building a nest at one particular point on the house?

There's been a nest under the ridge of the roof at the gable end of the house for years - these are fine and do no harm. But now some of their comrades are trying to set up house over the back door, probably only since yesterday morning.

I've been out the hose a few times to wash away their progress so far. Will they give up at some point and move on?

Depending on the structure of your back door, you may be able to look into some bird netting. Basically, a light net material that can be strung under eaves or other similar areas to keep birds from alighting on the underside. It is used for many public structures where they have covered promenades and the like, to avoid having huge problems with bird poop or aggressive defensive behaviors. If it's just a narrow ledge, you may able to mount (hopefully temporarily) some "bird spikes" - less dangerous than they sound, they're basically a row of little metal or plastic bristles that keep birds from landing or nesting on the edges of structures.

From what I've heard, the most effective method is some kind of anti-sticking/anti-swallow paint. Not really sure what that entails (I love swallows nesting and so never interfere with them if they're at a place I'm at) but could be something to look into.

Apart from that, small spike strips tend to be the way to go. Current apartment rules require one on the window sills and, can confirm, never had a bird go anywhere near them. Sad as that is to write.

Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid, is the first day of shawwal that marks the end of the month of fasting, praying and blessings; Ramadan. Allah made this day a gift to muslims who prayed, fasted and did other kinds of worship (Helping the poor, Observing Night prayers...etc) all the month of Ramadan. In Algeria, Eid Starts with communal prayers, khutba (sermon) and takbirat. After prayers, muslims give Zakat (a charity in form of Food, Money, Gold/Silver, Clothings...etc). Breakfast at that day is mainly made of Traditional sweets like (Tcharek, Baklava and many more) with tea or coffee. Kids wear their new clothings and go visit many families including relatives and friends. At the noon, many families cook traditional dishes like (Rechta, Chakhchoukha..etc) as a lunch.

Now in Arkland, it's literally as same as Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Libya's cultures combined.

Happy Eid!

Traveling through different [but neighbouring] climate zones/biomes is very interesting to observe: coming from wet rainy coastal city and passing through sunny temperate land where the spring has already came and the nature is blossoming, and then going north to the land of frozen ground where there is no single green leaf reincarnated on the trees yet but is about to, waiting till the life is back to the land of ice & to witness the green colour rapidly conquering the sceneries, and ultimately planning to go south to the steppes where the summer is right about to start is very exciting to experience again.

It breathes easier after such a long lockdown time in a big city.

I've given a number of movies a 10 on my IMDb account:
1. The Godfather (Part I)
2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
3. Children of Men
4. City of God
5. Inglourious Basterds
6. Inception
7. Blade Runner
8. Blade Runner 2049
9. The Grand Budapest Hotel
10. Memento
11. Ex Machina
12. The Matrix
Streaming services have resulted in my watching more TV series than movies in recent years so I haven't added to this list as much recently but I do feel the quality of recent movies has dropped off somewhat.

Gloriosya

Hello inhabitants of Forest, Portugal extends an invitation to all of you to participate in one of our member's Ibarona new RP: the League of Nations. This would be an alternate kind of EU, composed by our accounts' nations and for the account you choose to play with you'll be awarded X members for our parliament, which you can distribute through your national parties using whichever "democratic" methods you see fit.

There would be two major factions, though, the League-o-ceptics and the Beleaguers, I think you get the meaning.

The parliament would vote on regular laws and whatever measures that don't affect the structures of the League. Measures that alter those structures by creating or eliminating League institutions would have to be voted in a Council of States, in which country has 1 vote and only a simple majority is needed, like in measures voted by the parliament.

What are you waiting for?! Get in and submit your country's place in the League:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeAsEvaAGl8L7lRTMU93YxxPVVDRRcY1NUbOb19pGhgfE555Q/viewform

(you have to fill this form for every different party you wanna send, so I would advise against creating 20 different ones)

If you fill this form send me a telegram just saying that so I can contact you later with an invitation to a NS region, discord or whatever we decide on using.
Thank you for your attention!

I suppose I should answer my own question too. I don't have a favorite, but I really love Fantastic Mr. Fox and Suspiria (2019)
One of my favorite scenes from the first -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NESFQVqpnb0 (i'm not linking my favorites from Suspiria because 1) they're quite gruesome and 2) they're near the end and spoiler-filled, but the Volk dance scene is amazing with the right headphones)

Myordas

I have a question for y'all?
How many TV stations do you have in your country, what shows do you show in your country and do you have any iconic TV shows being franchised or very famous TV shows?

Myordas have 6 TV stations all owned by government. All information is found in my Factbook about TV stations. They mostly show local shows nationwide (mostly current affairs and documentaries) but Myordas have shown shows from other countries mostly Filipino telenovela or Armenian Soap Opera and Sitcoms on one slot of Myordan Primetime (around 18:00 - 22:30) dubbed from their original language to Myordan language.

Myordan dramopera (drama opera) is a genre of drama show of Myordas, dramopera is similar to an epic, it contains less violence, more comedy and a complex set of characters (mostly around 50 to a hundred), it can end in either a tragedy (mostly by killing a character in a funny way if a man or a beautiful way if it is a woman) or (in 60% chance) a happy one (mostly by making character's dreams come true), the shows endings are based by audience voting either on phones, polls or any medium.

The most iconic show in Myordas is not a dramopera but a show about fishes. It's called "Fishes of Myordas" it is aired since 1971 which is hosted by Romeloy Asamety at age of 25 during that time. Romelo stopped showing in the show in 2002 due to old age and health. Now his daughter named Ganar (aged 19 during that time) became the host since then. The show is about different fish species, their profiles, how to keep them and where to buy them. Seems simple but the real reason for the shows popularity is the expeditions they made, finding fish on their soil and analysing them and keeping them. Also the aquarium/pond making segment is fire. Showing the latest technology on fish keeping and good design and ideas for your aquarium or pond. (Sponsorships included)

Have you seen the original Suspiria (1977)? Having seen both, I prefer it - though I'll grant you that the choreography and score of the 2019 version definitely adds to the surrealism underpinning the whole film. If you don't watch the 1977 version, at least appreciate the music [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqO9t5bqTck] - one of the (if not the) best horror film soundtracks out there, in my view. Perfectly captures the neon-14th century folk tale aesthetic that makes the film so iconic.

New ladavia

In New, Ladavia are as many TV stations that will fit into the broadcasting space of frequency designated by the government. There are a few regulations, namely in the disclosure of all sponsors and affiliates with the program. (This is communicated through a message at the start of the show similar to the one about described video) The other main regulation is the length of time that can be devoted to adverts. There is only one "news" channel, but it is publicly funded and does not run adverts (ie: the BBC)) All other opinion channels must be portrayed as opinion channels, with these shows regularly being audited to maintain the proper guidelines about this.

I haven’t yet developed TV stations for Middle Barael, however I have thought up the main News Channels on TV or Radio

MBBC (Middle Barael Broadcasting Corporation) — Pretty unbiased, reports a lot on world news, similar to BBC or CBC

MBNN (Middle Barael News Network) — Biased towards the Left, reports mostly on politics, similar to CNN or Politico

MBBS (Middle Barael Broadcasting Station) — Not too biased, deals more with Human Interest and Local News stories, similar to ABC, NBC, or CBS

MBPTV (Middle Barael Public Television) — Biased towards the Left, reports on all types of stories, widely regarded as being “the news channel for aging hippies”, similar to NPR

Concolor News — Biased towards the Right, reports on all types of stories, similar to Fox News or Sun News but not as extreme

And it’s no coincidence that their names seem so similar to the RL channels that they are similar to; IC, the names were actually chosen on purpose to be similar to their US/UK counterparts, to increase name recognition

The World Wildlife Fund runs 12 different TV channels. Each channel is run by different international NGO's, GO's, and eco-friendly corporations. The shows on these channels primarily focus on clean tech promotions, conversational news, and local stories featuring sustainability. One famous franchise from our homeland is called, "The Meatrix". It's essentially an animal rights parody franchise of "The Matrix".

NoE does not have very developed television networks, as most people prefer to experience the country itself as it has stunning natural beauty. However there are a few news channels and nature channels.

News

NOEBC-The Nation of Ecologists Broadcasting Corporation is the national news channel for NoE and is on daily and talks about current events. It is funded by the Ministry of Communications and Technology.

EN-Eco News is a national news channel that talks about events related to ecosystems and the environment worldwide. It is on 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Sunday).

UN-Unionist News is the official news channel of the Party for Freedom and Democracy, a far-right anti-environmentalist and Brazilian Unionist party . It is on only once a week due to limited views, however it is on more frequently in the rural east of the country, where most of the unionist subset live. It has come under fire recently by the government as promoting anti-government and violent themes, and is under strict watch from the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
