KazamanicEuropeia What is the best element of R/D gameplay in your opinion?

Usually the biggest ones are the most memorable. I remember the attempted sieges of Osiris in 2016 following Cormac's coup, which the ERN participated in. Operation Boom Beach in early 2021 was a blast, where we got to work with so many different regions over a week. The raid and destruction of Genua, a fascist region, in mid 2021 was also a very memorable moment for me. All three of those operations were very different, but interesting and impactful in their own ways.

I think my favourite thing about it is that it's completely made up. There's no war mechanic in the game, but players invented one anyway using what they had, and built on it over years. It's got a bit of everything: technical skills, community, politics, fun.

What is your favorite part of the WA office?

thanks for the question! Well for me there are two favourite parts who don't really have anything to do with each other but still - one thing is when I draft a WA proposal and post it on the forum and ask for a Pokemon :D (there is a Pokemon reward program in the ministry). It's very satisfying both because there's an immediate reward for drafting and because I know I'm probably going to get great feedback.

The second thing that I love is when someone new to the ministry drafts their first IFV - especially if I'm guiding them. I just really love to help new members, especially if I think they have the potential to be minister!

My last question is for Mancheseva City, can you tell us a little bit about how WALL works and what the mutual goal between the regions are? And also who should new members reach out if they want to learn how to write proposals for GA and SC?

WALL (World Assembly Legislative League) is an alliance of like-minded regions that cooperate in World Assembly matters. All of the work happens in the WALL server, where threads are created for discussing each resolution. When the resolution is close to going to vote and we all agree whether we're going for or against, someone writes a voting recommendation. As for who to reach out to, my best bet is Deputy Minister for Drafting/Authorship Pland Adanna or Minister Gemeinschaftsland! But you should definitely get citizenship and join the Ministry, where everyone is eager to help!

What is your lowest low in NS? What is your highest high?

My lowest low isn't related to Europeia at all, but I'd say it was in 2009 when the Aeazen Combine infiltrated and nearly destroyed The Commonwealth, a collection of regions that shared a forum together. Very stressful times.

I'm not sure about my highest high. I feel like I get better at the game all the time, so we'll have to see what happens.

A question to all of you from the crowd

What's something you would change about Europeia, if you had full authority to do so?

That's a tricky question. Sometimes I wish our external ministries (WA, FA, ERN) got a bit more love than they do, until they're really needed. So if I could snap my fingers I'd try to change the region's culture to value those more on a day to day basis.

It was definitely submitting Commend Ambrella (Sopo) (page=UN_view_proposal/id=mancheseva_city_1647609913)! I spent a lot of time on that resolution, and Sopo is very much deserving of a Commendation! Another thing was becoming WAA Minister for the first time

That is a very interesting question! If you don't count very personal stuff, I think my lowest low was my second term as World Assembly Affairs Minister. I stepped up in the middle of the term but couldn't really deliver anything; barely kept the ministry on track. Thankfully, Pland Adanna managed to revive it next term which was awesome!

As for my highest high (again not counting very personal stuff which was my actual highest high, yes I am very mysterious like that even though it's called Ask Me Anything!), I think it's actually happening right now! I'm the Vice President of Thaecia and Senate Chair there, and I have just submitted Commend Ambrella! I think that is the highest I've ever been in NS honestly

If an ally was attacked tomorrow, what as deputy would be your first aim to support the FA minister with dealing with this incident?

Thanks for the question Cove! Of course, Europeia is absolutely committed to aiding our allies wherever we can, so my first step as a Deputy Minister would be reaching out to my wonderful boss Istillian to see what specifically he required of me. My primary role in FA is as an advisor to Istillian, so that seems like a logical first step.

TheMothman wrote:First I want to thank you all for doing this AMA!
My Second question is for The United Peoples of Centrism, I was hope that UPC could give us some insights into where to start is someone was looking to be involved in FA, and what a new Ambassador's duties would look like in a region they're assigned?

Absolutely! Europeia maintains relations with a large number of regions across NationStates, so there are always available opportunities for new and interested players to serve as Ambassadors. The role of Ambassadors is to post forum updates in the regions which they're serving in, as well as keeping an eye out for interesting events like elections to keep our FA leadership up to date. Being an Ambassador is super fun, and I highly recommend that anyone who's interested apply to join the FA team on the forum!!

Not to fret wrote:The United Peoples of Centrism what's been you're favorite cooperative FA moment?

I cannot pick a single event, but I think that our recent history of military collaboration with our allies and various friends is something that we should be extremely proud of! Euro has been reaching out to friends old and new in the pursuit of our Independent ideology, and I think that these actions are setting us up for success in gameplay for some time to come!

PhDre wrote:To everyone!

What is your lowest low in NS? What is your highest high?

My highest high in NS was probably winning the April 2021 Presidential election and serving as Kaz's Vice President. We put a ridiculous amount of work into our campaign and into our term, and I am extremely proud of what we accomplished.

My lowest low is hard because I have a lot of them! I think that my resignation as Vice President in January this year was probably the absolute lowpoint though.

I would update our flag, 100%

While it is certainly iconic, the colors are just so hard to work with!

"I'd proclaim myself Supreme Leader" - jk, already done

Honestly I don't really know. Like Maowi said it's great as it is! The only thing is I might increase the number of seats in the Senate by removing the requirement that there should always be 2 seats less than candidates and making it 1 seat. Or somehting like that. I do like competitive elections but sometimes there are *only* good candidates, and some of them miss out just because others were luckier! Another solution would just be encouraging more people to run for Senate which you all should do by the way, in the next election!

Honestly, I come in and out. I've spent long periods away. I love this game, but when I'm not interested or having fun, I know when to stop and do other things with my spare time. I think that's what's kept me sane over the years.

But one thing I love about this game is the sense of history. There's so much that's happened, and so many players from different generations and backgrounds, and all of that makes for a complicated and highly strategic game. Has to be the best political simulator out there just for that reason.

For Mancheseva City, since your name is quite similar to that of Manchester City Football Club, I hope you have a bit of knowledge of Football/Soccer. If so, who is your favorite Footballer?

And for The United Peoples of Centrism, another "what's your favorite" question, who is your favorite historical leader?

PS: Mancheseva City, if you don't really know much about football, what's YOUR historical leader?

Ugh I have a hard time playing favorites! I think that I am obligated to pick my current assignment, TGW, because Grea Kriopia will cancel me if I say otherwise

Oh no, I'm not actually talented like that! I will maybe get back to you on that though.

Another very tricky one, I think that Cyrus the Great is pretty cool!

Maowi wrote:Mancheseva City hello!!! What do you think a player looking to succeed in Europeia can learn from World Assembly affairs?

Hello! I think World Assembly Affairs is representative for the whole of Europeia in a way - you have to know a lot to lead it but everyone is very welcoming and willing to teach you, and it is very possible and satisfying to climb the proverbial ladder, just like with Europeia as a whole!

But maybe that wasn't the angle you were looking for? I'll try another one then - I think World Assembly Affairs does teach you some skills that you should learn to be successful in Europeia as a whole. Legal interpretation - analysing resolutions sometimes requires you to dig very deep into laws to find loopholes, for example, and that is also something useful in the Senate or in Court. Diligence - to succeed in World Assembly Affairs, especially as a minister, you have to deliver consistently and be active in discussions - that is also true for the whole of Europeia. But at the end of it all, you will definitely be rewarded with appreciation from others and with great approval ratings, so it is definitely worth it - both in the ministry and in Europeia as a whole! So you should definitely get involved (the general you of course)

I am a huge Man City fan, in fact I'm wearing a Man City hoodie and t-shirt right now xD. I think all City players are great but my favourite is either Kevin De Bruyne or Phil Foden, can't decide. Oh or Joao Cancelo, he's pretty cool too!

Historical leader? Hmm that is also a tough one. I'm not much of a history nerd but also most of them did bad stuff? But I think I can highlight two - Nelson Mandela (though I don't really know much about him apart from the well-known facts) and Mahatma Gandhi - even though he wasn't a leader of any country he was definitely the spiritual leader of India and played a huge role in ending colonialism as a whole. Watched a movie about him a while ago
