Rivalry with Northeastern Italian (WIP)

For almost 3000 years, SpaghettiTopians hated Northeastern italians. This is how it was. We hated each other through sanctions, scams, blood and battles, through sports and shouts, we have always hated each other.

Bronze Age

This tale started in the Neolithic era. Both civilizations were kind of starting to take shape. The "proto-spaghettitopians" Emerged in the puglia region of italy, taking a keen interest in the culinary arts, inventing pasta. The "Proto-Northeastern Italians" had emerged in the venetian lagoon, studying religion. a few hundred years later, in 1200 BC, where we already started stabbing each other. A Noodle close to the boundary with Northeastern Italians had spit on a fellow bystander. That interaction turned into a fist fight, and then into a knife-fight. All the villages got involved. Dozens of men and women tore through the battlefield. It is unclear how many were killed in this battle, but cave paintings have archaeologists assuming that it was in the tens. This would later be known as "The Battle of spit and rocks". These types of regional skirmishes would happen until the formation of the first organized SpaghettiTopian and Northeastern Italian civilizations.

Iron Age

In the iron age, the Spaghettitopians and Northeastern Italians were constantly fighting, until the greeks came over and colonized southern italy and created Magna Graecia, effectively destroying the Spaghettitopian kingdoms The SpaghettiTopians still fought for Magna Graecia to hopefully defend against the romans, but it didn't work too well. The Northeastern Italians on the other hand were joining the Romans in their kingdom. In the Roman conquests of the Italian Peninsula, the Northeastern Italians were happy to help destroy SpaghettiTopians. The romans conquered Magna Graecia with the help of the Northeastern Italians, and both states were under the roman empire for hundreds of years until the fall of the roman empire.

Dark Ages

The dark ages were not very eventful, with the gothic kingdoms of italy lapsing in and out of existance until the Byzantine Empire swooped in and conquered Italy again. The kingdoms of italy eventually reconquered the Byzantine holdouts in southern italy and multiple new italian city states were born, including the Kingdom of Naples-SpaghettiTopia.
