The Most Holy and Grand Empire of Christian Democrats It's great news! A number of states already have abortion bans in place. Most of them will take effect 30 days from now. And many other states will be passing new legislation soon. In all, more than half the states will soon be protecting the lives of unborn children. https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2022/05/Abortion-States-Map-New.jpg Let's keep up the effort and abolish abortion in the states that still suffer its existence! |

The Holy Constitutional Empire of Cretoia-Slrathria Peace and All Good! Today is the 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 Such a beautiful day today because, the incarnation where the divinity and humanity of Christ was defended by Saint Cyril of Alexandria, more so by having Christ be Divine and Human, the mother of Christ is the mother of God; Theotokos. I'm not sure if that is the reason why Our Mother of Perpetual Help was given a feast on Saint Cyril's memorial, or that Saint Cyril's memorial was placed on this day. But the beauty of the circumstance, that the Defender of the Incarnation, and the very Mother of the Incarnate, is both celebrated today, is beautiful. Let us begin today's Daily In the name of the Father, ✠ God our loving Father, 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the book of 𝕲𝖊𝖓𝖊𝖘𝖎𝖘 24:57-67 They answered, “Let us call the girl and see what she herself has to say about it.” So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Do you wish to go with this man?” She answered, “I do.” At this they allowed their sister Rebekah and her nurse to take leave, along with Abraham's servant and his men. Invoking a blessing on Rebekah, they said: “Sister, may you grow Then Rebekah and her maids started out; they mounted their camels and followed the man. So the servant took Rebekah and went on his way. Meanwhile Isaac had gone from Beer-lahai-roi and was living in the region of the Negeb. One day toward evening he went out…in the field, and as he looked around, he noticed that camels were approaching. Rebekah, too, was looking about, when she saw him, she alighted from her camel and asked the servant, “Who is the man out there, walking through the fields towards us?” “That is my master,” replied the servant. Then she covered herself with a veil. The servant recounted to Isaac all the things he had done. Then Isaac took Rebekah into his tent; he married her, and thus she became his wife. In his love for her Isaac found solace after the death of his mother Sarah. 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: She answered, “I do.” It was really wonderful, that when I browsed Genesis, I found this reading. I think I don't understand some of it because, this was the ending of the narrative. But at least I want to share what I felt reading it. Of course I am a fan of romance, romantic comedy, and slice of life stories. Love is the lightest thing to bear in your heart. Now we put ourselves as them on the story, to relate ourselves and them; otherwise we would have indifference for the story at all. But when I was reading this, I thought about God, Jesus Christ the bridegroom. Who could be more acceptable, as a mediator to the bridegroom than His mother. I remember reading Saint Thomas de Villanova's sermon: "for thirty-three years, never did she leave his side. As an infant she nursed him, as an adolescent reared him, and served him until his death. With him she shared all the secrets of her heart." A true mother and son relationship, not unique to them, but common to everyone. We understand something special with the mother〜son relationship of Our Lord and Lady, that is as exalted is Jesus in heaven, so was His mother taken into heaven, being lovingly engraved in the heart of the Son. Now the reading yesterday reminds us, following Jesus is not an easy task. Psalm 125 (126) says that "They go out, they go out full of tears, * 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀, 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: The "I do" is never easy, but it is always with great joy, that the journey is retold after a great triumph. This is a hymn I personally love when praying the novena prayer to the Theotokos, Our Mother, Lady of Perpetual Help every Wednesday before mass. https://baomoi.com/roe-v-wade-da-chet/c/42989192.epi Basically: Roe v Wade is 'dead' The US Supreme Court on June 24 reversed the historic Roe v Wade ruling, which gave women in the US the right to abort their unborn babies. This reversal of the ruling seems unprecedented, especially for a case that was decided nearly 50 years ago, according to Guardian. The seismic decision would allow more than half of all states in the US to ban abortion. At the same time, it has an immediate and lasting impact on tens of millions of people in the country. What happened? The Supreme Court has held that allowing abortion under the precedent Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Foundation is unconstitutional. In making that decision, the Supreme Court overturned the Roe v Wade ruling. The Roe v Wade case was a landmark decision of the US Supreme Court in 1973. Under this ruling, women have a constitutional right to choose to have an abortion and the government is not allowed to interfere unduly. . In American judicial history, the Supreme Court has overturned rulings to give people more rights. However, this is the opposite case. This decision will limit the rights of generations of Americans. With this reversed ruling, states will be allowed to ban or severely restrict abortion. These changes are likely to change people's understanding of freedom, self-determination and personal autonomy. Which places will be affected? As expected, 26 US states will apply this decision immediately or as soon as possible. This would make abortion illegal across much of the southern and the Midwest of the United States. In these states, pregnant women will have to travel hundreds of kilometers to get to an abortion clinic. They can also perform the abortion themselves at home through medication or other means. However, anti-abortion laws are not nationally applicable. The US will have a series of new laws enacted, including provisions on restrictions and protections for women. Some Democratic-majority states, such as California and New York, had expanded reproductive rights before the new ruling. The new abortion bans will make the US the richest of the four countries that have abolished abortion rights since 1994. According to the Center for Reproductive Rights, the other three countries that restrict abortion rights are Poland, El Salvador and Nicaragua. It is worth mentioning that more than half of all American women of reproductive age, or about 40 million, live in states that advocate abortion. When does this regulation take effect? In most states, this ruling will apply quickly. With the Roe v Wade precedent overturning, abortion bans were activated in 13 states. However, the statutes have different starting times in different states. For example, the Louisiana activation law takes effect immediately, the Idaho ban goes into effect after 30 days. Other states also had abortion bans prior to this Supreme Court decision, but have not been able to enforce them for the past five decades. Another group of states intends to ban abortion even when the fetus is very small, even before the mother knows she is pregnant. One such state is Georgia. It stipulates that abortion will be banned after the mother is 6 weeks pregnant. In many cases, court challenges to this ruling in the states are likely. Besides, experts believe there will be chaos for days or weeks as states implement the bans. Can the federal government fight this regulation? The most effective way to combat state abortion bans is federal law, which must precede state law. The data shows public support for such a federal law as 85% of Americans believe abortion should be legal in most cases. Such a federal law would need the support of a majority of the House, 60 votes in the Senate and the signature of President Joe Biden to pass. The current situation shows that the majority of members of the House of Representatives and the White House support the abortion rights bill. However, Republicans will almost certainly oppose abortion rights legislation in the Senate. In addition, Joe Manchin, a Democrat from West Virginia, has also repeatedly voted against abortion rights. For the abortion bill to pass the Senate, Democrats need to win overwhelmingly in the upcoming midterm elections. However, despite public support for abortion rights, there is no clear indication of how this will affect the upcoming midterm elections. President Biden: 'This is a sad day for America' President Joe Biden on June 24 said the Supreme Court's overturning of the decision protecting abortion rights Roe v. Wade brought America back 150 years ago. ******************* Honestly, Vietnam has extensive abortion laws and the State provides abortions with a cheap price. So yeah, sad. I am happy that SCOTUS overturned it. Hope Vietnam does it. Attike, Insulusia, and Ottovanus |

Louisiana and Utah are blocking it however. Anyways, I want to ask y'all some questions. 1. Do all the Southern states (specifically, the Bible Belt states) have some form of unofficial anti-Catholicism? (I read news on the Internet and saw some) Attike and Insulusia |
The Most Loyal Catholic Union of Castle Federation 1. I’d say historically Anti Catholicism was worse, especially given the Know Nothing Party was intrinsically against Catholics as part of its platform. I think where there is little exposure to Catholics such as in rural areas, you’ll find just wrong ideas and caricatures that still circulate about the Church. 2. It may seem surprising at first, but states such as New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Jersey have the highest proportions of Catholics despite their social liberalism. This is due to historic immigration patterns from Ireland and Italy to those areas. 3. As far as I know, there is no state that has more atheists or agnostics than Catholics. If there was to be one or two, Vermont and Washington have the most atheistic demographics. The US remains much more religious than Europe . . . For now. This page has more information regarding religious demographics and settlement patterns: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_the_United_States#Statistics |
For question 3, I meant if Catholicism is popular than atheists, agnostics, etc. all combined. |
The Most Loyal Catholic Union of Castle Federation It looks like there are more who call themselves "unaffiliated" than Catholic in the nation as a whole, but a majority of that group does not claim to be atheist or agnostic. It would be more exact to say that there are more people who don't really care about religion than Catholics but not more self proclaimed atheists and agnostics combined than Catholics. |
It's also worth noting that due to culture, Catholics are much more likely to "identify" as Catholics even after they've stopped practicing whereas those with the same level of (low) religiosity in other Christian denominations would stop identifying as a member of that denomination. That's a major reason why polls consistently show Catholics having roughly the same percentage of people in favor or against certain policies as the general American population compared to either Mainline or Evangelical Protestants. Historically the South has always been religiously protestant and nativist. There was persecution in the southern states for religious reasons and also for being the main religion of many incoming immigrants at the time (Irish, Italian etc). Catholicism was one of the targets of the Klu Klux Klan. As for today there isn't outright persecution as Catholicism has become much more accepted but there still exists an animosity towards it. My brother's grade 7 history book has this. I dont know if it's true or not (when he asked me about these since both of us are Catholics so he's a bit confused) |
1. Dante didn't condemn the Catholic Church at large, even if he pointed out the sins of some within the Church as punishable by eternal damnation. And even if it did condemn the Church as a whole, one has to wonder why that would even matter. Benedict XV even wrote a letter praising Dante's contribution as a Catholic to Western civilization (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_praeclara_summorum) 2. False. Look at the Society of Jesus and its adoption of Christian humanism in its colleges of the 17th century. 3. It may be misleading to just look at cities and wealth and religion, because association doesn't necessitate causation. For instance, it doesn't hold when one considers that the Spanish & Portuguese Empires and the Kingdom of France were are nominally Catholic. 4. Absolute monarchy, yes, but not monarchy as a whole. The Reformation would never have gained widespread support had it not been for the promotion of Reformation ideas by the princes of the Holy Roman Empire. 5. This one has literally no basis in reality and is not even an academic statement. It's pure propaganda. Thank you for your explanation. So basically the information about the Catholic Church is anti-Catholic propaganda or what? Since these are the only informations besides neutral introductions about it that I find in the book. Attike, The Pilgrims in the Desert, Cretoia-Slrathria, and Insulusia |
The Holy Constitutional Empire of Cretoia-Slrathria Peace and All Good! Today is the 𝐒𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 (𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲) 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 (𝐈𝐈) Fridays are devoted to the Passion or the Sacred Heart. And from what I have read, the office for the dead may be used in devotion every first free day in the month. Once a separate occasion from Corpus Sanguinis Christi, today's solemnity was merged to Corpus Christi, to avoid solemnities impeding with the Sunday celebration/obligation. Let us begin today's Daily In the name of the Father, ✠ God our loving Father, 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from 𝐏𝖘𝖆𝖑𝖒 50 (51):18-21 For in sacrifice you take no delight, In your goodness, show favour to Sion: 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. When I was praying Lauds, I had a thought especially at these lines and phrases: "in sacrifice", "burnt offering", "rebuild the walls of Jerusalem", "lawful sacrifice", "holocausts offered on your altar." Then I had a thought, "Why doesn't Christianity do it now?" I remember the Passover Seder that Fr. Chito told us the Jews don't have a temple, that's why they don't offer sacrifices. Then I remember Jesus Christ, as the ultimate sacrifice. I would like to take this moment to grow in wonder at the Lord, how great the spirit makes me think about sacrifices especially at the time of the Solemnity of the Precious Blood. Now, now, the conclusion I had from that thought is that, God did show favour to Sion, to Israel, but not limited to them, but extending His love to us, the non-Jews (Gentiles). Now the walls of Jerusalem have been rebuilt, but these are not physical walls of limestones or other rocks, but a strong rock rooted on the temple of the body of Christ—in reference to Jesus saying that the temple be rebuilt again after three days from its destruction—and built upon was Cephas who is the Rock (Peter). Now there is no other sacrifice that delights God. I think he said that in Psalm 49 (50) that all the animals are his, and he does not eat the blood of goats or rams I think. But the one true sacrifice, that delights the Father, is the Son whom died on the cross, which is present everywhere at mass. And since everywhere at the world we celebrate mass, in every "temples" near our homes, the most acceptable, loving, and highest holocaust offered to the altar of God is the eucharist. When we look closely, especially on the eucharistic prayer, and with the grace of the spirit and help of our imagination, we will see angels singing with us in the "Holy, holy, holy" (Sanctus); Mary the Mother of Jesus, and Saint Joseph her most chaste spouse, the apostles, and all the saints interceding for us in our needs; the priest being in persona Christi in the "take this all of you" (institution); ordinary bread, becomes extraordinary flesh; ordinary wine becomes extraordinary blood; and the real presence of God, one in three, with all the heavenly Glory of Angels and its choirs, and saints whom whom once trod the earth. By simple prayers and strong faith, we see the souls of the faithfully departed, whom held on to the belief of Christ as God, is purified quickly to heaven. The priest, like old Jewish temple times, being the priest asking the Father to receive the sacrifice in his hands. The most beautiful of all, the glimpse of heaven, all the faithful on earth praying to God, responding in the responses, singing hymns of glory; a new song unto the lord. Now with regards to the lawful sacrifice, what other sacrifice is as lawful as the greatest act of Love. The love of Jesus Christ, whom is God, humbled himself to earth, gave up the pleasures of heaven and earth, embraced the pain of sin that should've been ours. Love exceeds the law, as Saint Paul said, and this is very much exampled by Christ. And through Him, with Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, the Father is very well pleased, and we should listen to Him. 𝗢 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Our sacrifice, a contrite spirit. But to those whom are called to the special office of clergy, offers the greatest sacrifice in the mass, more favourable than holocaust because done in an act of love. And through that shedding of blood, we have been forgiven, redeemed, and exulted with Christ. Though we continue to live in the world, let us live in the shedding of the precious blood, through whom we rejoice that we have shared the salvation of our souls and the whole world's. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲. O God, Who by the Precious Blood of Thine Only Begotten Son hast redeemed the whole world, preserve in us the work of Thy mercy, so that, ever honouring the mystery of our salvation, we may merit to obtain its fruits. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who lives and reigns with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. ℣. We adore You O Christ, and we bless You.
