For all of this I've searched through a few alternate history forums to get some RP ideas going that support both of these:

After the End: Some event happens in the late 1900's-early2000's causing society to essentially collapse. You are now playing CK3 but in the Americas™. This idea is faithfully stolen from the CK2 (and in testing CK3 mod) After the End. Faith is all, languages as they were no longer exist, technology suffers massively, and some quirky nations come out of it. There's a unfathamoable amount of lore, and it's all rather set-out for you.

This idea has a LOT of novelty. Longevity might also be the case, if it gets accepted. Nothing beats living in your hometown in the sea of medieval skirmishes.

Now, it's time for me to bring up a little something: RP's have this thing where I've never seen a truly successful RP region that didn't use it's own history. Never. GME has a real based Fill-the-map, CoL woke up, took WW2, and let their people run wild, etc etc. This leads me to a few homebrew ideas.

One: Fill-the-map. Fog of War. Whatever you call it. Blank map I fill in. I'll make it look all pretty, too. Gimme a claim, and go fight eachother or something. Time period: sometime after the new world was discovered, prolly. Potentially infinite Longevity. Novelty is however much you try to make it fun. Maybe it'll be a fantasy map, maybe it's just the IRL world. It could be the year 1444, or 2003.

Two: Internal USA and Canada Time. You suggested this to TVE like a year ago and I'm giving it a shot on the callistan stage. Within national borders you as an RPer can act as organized crime, or as some form of police. Hell, maybe even le government. Novelty's High, but I'm wondering if it lasts. Longevity bases itself on Novelty, but I'm wondering how longlived that'll be.

Homebrew #1 is technically like 4 ideas in one, but I'm leaving it as-is.

These are just a few ideas I have setup for RP maps and RP tech. I'm thinking about a few other things lie timescale to experiment with later.

Above that, for the sake of an impartial RP mod, I'm going to sit out these RPs for a while.
