A shooting has just occurred at around 8:15 PM in Westington! The shooter, David Cost, shot himself afterwards. Reporter Jennifer Porter was on scene:
"This is a national tragedy, the leader was inside of the building that was shot up, but the details have yet to be revealed whether he is okay or not. We should all pray, citizens of Korgzastan and around the Skylands."

To all citizens in Korgzastan:
At 8:15, a shooting occurred in a building in Westington, where a political convention was being held. The leader was confirmed to be there.
The leader is now being confirmed to have been shot and taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was shot in his head and is in critical condition, and may end up passing away between 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM.
The Westington SWAT Team is making it an effort to stop all mass shootings in Korgzastan to prevent tragedies like this from happening. This was the first time in Korgzastan History that a leader was ruled killed, given that it is believed that he will not make it.

So, what happens next?
The Vice Leader, Alexander Stone III, will be inaugurated on the 15th in the event the leader does pass away.

All cabinet members and the immediate family are currently saying their goodbyes, and the area is completely taped off and locked down to prevent disruptions.
Long Live Korgzastan, and may our God Save the Leader.

Update on the situation: The Leader was confirmed dead at 11:16 PM. Alexander Stone III will be inaugurated on the 15th.
The funeral is open ONLY TO WORLD LEADERS.

— Absolutely. You see, three months is not enough under common circumstances ,and these are absolutely not common circumstances. The Liberal Party is all but officially dismantled, the Worker's Party and Iosuist Party have just vanished, The Democratic and Social-Democratic Parties are all but frozen because they were waiting for some response from the regency, the military parties... well those are still functioning as far as we can tell-

— So, just fill in the audience real quick, the idea is that in 3 months everyone will go out to the polls and vote. Something which gives parties 3 months to campaign. Why would they do it so suddenly? there have been claims of it being a political ploy, what do you think of those?

Vanil:
— To start, I think claims of it being some part of a conspiracy are bogus. The Regency has shown time and time again to be woefully incompetent, to imagine that it is some political ploy to "distract us from the truth" is nothing short of the highest level of conspiratorial thinking. This actually connects to the first question, I believe that its just another incompetent decision made by people who really don't get our politics. These are people who saw the pompous campaigns, during what they called the "years of silence" or whatever silly name they came up for it, and thought they were useless-

Samie:
— I see. So, how do you think this will pan out?

Vanil:
— I believe it wont, or at least i pray that it wont. Best thing the Regency could do is just take this back and give everyone a year.

Samie:
— Yes, we may hope. Thank you for our talk today.

Michelle - Alexander Stone II, the former leader of Korgzastan, was pronounced dead at 11:16 PM. A previous Luivie News Broadcast quotes: "The situation is Korgzastan is shocking, and the government will hopefully fund defense and law enforcement to prevent such a tragedy from happening again."

Mason Barrack - "This is absolutely horrible! Some monster wants to come in and ruin everyone's lives for simply being human!? I'm glad he (the shooter)is dead, he doesn't deserve to live after what he did."
