Jesus Christ the Bahamas. They don't even KNOW how high the death toll might be. Entire communities were literally flattened by this thing, and since the Bahamas' economy is based on tourism, they might never be able to recover without serious foreign aid that - knowing the state of politics at the moment - might not come soon enough.
I'm just glad that Dorian didn't do what Harvey did. Harvey was only a Category 4, compared to Dorian's Cat 5, but it kept going back and forth between land and the Gulf, constantly refueling and coming back for more. It's like a bomb that doesn't explode once, it just keeps going off, again and again, until it gets bored and leaves. I don't even want to think about what would happen if a Category 5 did that to an island where people can't escape...

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be... Anyway, you'll need to clarify what you mean by "balanced". Do you mean average civil, economic, and political freedoms (i.e. centrism)?
Do you have any questions, or would you prefer a general infodump about the game (Nationstates in general) and/or the region (10000 Islands)? If you'd prefer the infodump, then would you like me to stick to general information, or would you like me to get into advanced concepts like military gameplay (which, protip, is probably not what you think it is, but it's worth getting involved anyway)?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think your best bet is to figure out if your stat is either above or below where you want it to be, and answer issues accordingly (i.e. if your civil rights are too high, restricting them would get you closer to the middle). Just be aware that issues are occasionally unclear, especially when it comes to civil rights.
Also, it's worth noting that the Economy graph on your trends tab doesn't affect classification. That's economic strength, nation classification is affected by economic freedom (linky). And socialist states get an arbitrary -100 to the value, which is sometimes kind of confusing, but it's easy to account for.
There is no need for public healthcare or even to remotely treat your citizens the way they want to be treated. Ideally you must treat them in a way that is most efficient for your country and what feels right for them even if they are complaining. Yeah so I heard at least 90 people in my nation got into a healthcare scam. So what? I'll deal with them if this actually affects this country. I should also keep my country's populous in a state of complete ignorance and stupidity to prevent them from demanding things that are irrelevent to Great Motherland.
