The Glories Old of Sunrise Trail

Burrhus Frederic Skinner wrote:I don't know that gross generalizations about people in a country or a region of a country are particularly accurate or useful. Trumps election in 2016 certainly emboldened some people who act with belligerence, ignorance, and hate, though not everyone who voted for Trump acts this way. Unfortunately, the US is not the only country currently dealing with this sort of thing.

Of course generalisations are ridiculous, but at the moment I’m beyond being nicey-nicey about voters for Boris Johnson, Victor Orbán or anyone who channels Donald Trump. Not everyone in England (and I mean England) was for Brexit, and every Texan isn’t a gun nut. I know that.

I have just finished Bryan Washington’s novel Memorial, which is set in Houston, as well as Lot, his book of short stories. Highly recommended.
