The Jiving Jungle of Baloo Kingdom

On the 15th of May, Carthagian warships swarmed the coasts of the Ibiza and Minorca islands. Shortly after, they opened fire on coastal fortifications and other defenses, bombarding the port cities of Ibiza Town, Mahon, and Ciudadela. After destroying much of the island's defenses, they made landfall and occupied the cities as intense urban fighting began. The fighting lasted for several days with each side taking considerable losses. The Carthagians were finally able to pull through with superior weaponry and equipment, pushing the defenders out of rhe cities where most of them were ambushed from reinforcing Carthagians from the north or south. With two of the minor islands secure, it was time to launch an assault on the main island of Majorca. First, the Carthagians captured the nearby miniscule island of Cabrera, using it as a launchpoint for the invasion of Majorca. The next day, they landed on the island's southern coast and after a lengthy siege, captured the cities of Santanyi, Cala d'Or, and Portocolom. Afterwards, they continued their advance towards the capital city of Palma, capturing much of the island's rural areas along the way before arriving at the city of Campos where they found it mysteriously abandoned. Meanwhile, the Grand Carthagian Navy was wreaking havoc on much of the island's coastal cities such as Porto Cristo, Cala Millor and Capdepera. An additional landing force was mounted on the city of Can Picafort as they headed north to the larger city of Alcudia. After a combined assault of the city with naval support and heavy artillery bombardment, the city fell in a few hours. An additional attack was also conducted on the city of Pollenca with similar results. With the northeast secured, both armies headed for the city of Manacor in order to have complete control over the southeast portion of the island. The city was invaded from the north and south at unusual hours of the night, the Carthagians carried out the attack with speed and professionalism, wearing down the city's defenses before charging into the city with a mighty calvary strike. The defenders were trapped in the city and surrounded by all sides, decided to fight to the death in an epic display of courage and vigor, were ultimately defeated and killed for their resistance. A small group managed to flee to the north but were later found by a group of Carthagian detachments and were subsequently killed as well. With the majority of the northeast secure, the last push was made into the island's southwest supported by the Grand Carthagian Navy which had already taken out most coastal defenses. After capturing the cities of Valldemossa, Santa Ponsa, and Magaluf, all forces were concentrated on the capital city of Palma which initially stood out bravely among the beaten down cities of the rest of the island. A three-way assault was launched early in the morning of May 21st, under heavy artillery and naval bombardment, the city's walls finally fell and the Carthagians all charged in at once on all sides, strangling the defenders and ensuring a decisive Carthagian victory. Additional forces were sent to secure small swaths of land that were still resisting Carthagian rule on the island. By the 25th, all resistance was swiftly crushed by Green Force and the last remaining island of Formentera was taken as well with little effort as most of the defenders were either dead or fled the country elsewhere. The islands were properly annexed by the Carthagian Empire shortly after and the whole nation praised the military for another resounding victory. Further reconstruction efforts were made to the recently gained Balearic islands and Carthagian business soon propped up, taking advantage of the islands' natural resources.
