i've seen the puma/cougar in the wild a couple of times, where i grew up in the sierras in california, where we call them mountain lions.
three names, one cat, felis concolor. they really are just cats, that are large, strong and fast. which makes it dangerous to get to close to them,
because as humans we bruze too easily. but generally they mean well. oddly enough, the one creature i'd never personally seen in the wild, is a fox.
which is kind of strange for a number of reasons. they were definatly around, or had been, but never showed themselves to me.
and why that's odd is because everything else, i mean everything else, even the elusive pine martin, i would happen upon in my walks, or even in our tiny half acre yard.
