Fact of the day: Slavic languages found in Orthodox Catholic nations use the Cyrillic alphabet; whereas slavic languages in Catholic nations use the Latin script. This came about due to the conversation of pagan or orthodox to catholic religion in many of the western slavic nations, most notably Poland, Slavonia and Croatia, much as it had happened to Germanic nations a few centuries prior.
