Vatikia, what are your thoughts on the current World Assembly Resolution: Repeal "Animal Protection Act"? Though I think the aim of the Animal Protection Act is noble, I think it's a flawed document full of loopholes and the like. I believe the repeal is necessary so that stronger legislation can eventually be put into place later. |
Agreed, the act is noble and with good cause. However, like you say there Are several loopholes that will and enable wrong doings to happen. I agree that amendments should be made for the greater good to ensure better validity and continuity. However I do feel that if the act is repealed the grounding of the act will be broken, enabling nations to return to ways that are morally frowned upon. I believe and amendment should be placed alongside the existing act, giving a crossover. That is the view from the Presidential Office of Vatikia and it's people. |
Well, unless something major happens in the next 12 hours, it looks like the repeal won't go through. On another note, I was thinking of expanding the regional government as we get more members. International Western Union has an ideal set up and it works very well for them. What do you think, Vatikia? Are there particular positions you would like to have for the regional government? Any positions you would like to avoid? |
The Union of Free Nations is looking for a new Director of Intelligence! The Director of Intelligence is chiefly responsible for gathering intelligence on other regions throughout Nationstates and reporting said intelligence to the President and other members of the regional government. Prior intelligence-gathering experience preferred, but not required. Must be familiar with Nationstates in general. Must be mature, tactful, and above all else, must be able to show discretion in fulfilling the duties and responsibilties of the Directorate. |

Question of the week: If your nation was a real place, would you live there? Why or why not? I would seriously consider living in my nation. It's scenic with beautiful weather and the people are friendly, compassionate and well educated. I'm not sure how excited I would be about the lack of private industry or the 100% tax rate, but that's the price you pay to live there (figuratively and literally). |
