The Narex Council of The Ursian Empire

War Room, UES Calliope, Above Wintreath's Orbit

The calm Malrev patiently waited for his admirals to settle down and read the files. The accident with the Arenium shards and the bombed laboratories now fell under their jurisdiction. The Ursian Empire now had two Valkyr in their military ranks, both figures the embodiment of 2 legendary ships in Ursia's history. No one knows what in Holy Bear's name what to do with them. The missions was simple, develop countermeasures, not develop their own Valkyr. Malrev sighed a bit. At least the two Valkyr are relatively good natured people. Orca was a bit shy with her first interactions with the soldiers at Port Araz. Leviathan, stoic but gentle. He had played with some kids in the snow.

One of admirals raised up there hand. "Sir, are we absolutely sure we can trust these Valkyr?" asked the admiral. The other admirals murmured amongst each other. After General Melvin, this was not a surprising question anymore. "As of now, we do not know their motives. Observations of the two have deemed them mentally stable, and they have no doubt in Holy Bear's existence. I do not see why would they betray us immediately especially with Orca being injured on the back,"Malrev responded. The admiral nodded and went back to the file as the other admirals wanted to begin the other topic. "What shall we do with Sakiria's bombings of our labs?" a trio asked.

"I have two options. Firstly, we threaten them and level an entire island to the ground with Calliope," Malrev answered as the admirals were shocked. They've never seen Malrev this bloodthirsty. "Or..., and I'd prefer this one. We make a trade agreement," he continued. The admirals tilted their heads. "We get to keep the Arenium shards, experiment with them, and they leave us alone so long as we provide results from the experiments," Malrev proposed. The second one garnered even further shock. "Trade deal? With those blood thirsty people? They couldn't see reason at Arctoros to surrender the Saint Adal...," an admiral said as Malrev raised his hand to silence him.

"It's a deal with many benefits, for us. We can always remove the most important data from our results that would be given to Sakiria. We also keep Arenium shards to find more countermeasures. And it gives us good faith, and we can avoid another Arctoros," Malrev explained. The admirals looked at each other. It was a good plan, giving more benefits to Ursia then it did Sakiria without the Sakirians knowing it. Malrev smiled. The Aerospace Navy had excellent but ambitious admirals. He knew why he was made its leader. He could make them all work together very well. "Leviathan and Orca has received their retrofits yes?" Malrev asked to the admiral in charge of the reserve fleet. The woman nodded her head. "As a gesture of good faith, why not we host a drill for the Sakiria Valkyr and our Valkyr," Melvin said.

Fort Kestrel, Port Araz, Northern The Ursian Empire

Orca zoomed across the snow, ice and water of Port Araz, testing out her new thrusters of her retrofitted airship. She easily went faster than even Leviathan-class airships. The soldiers and tanks looking like afterimages rather than people. If she focused hard enough, she easily went supersonic. She brought out her dual spears as she blasted rocks apart with her harmonizer cannons. She then launched MEMB-IVs from her rigging, the multiple missiles colliding with targets the soldiers set up. The targets, evaporated by the EMP pulse. Orca smiled. It had been so long since she's seen the surface of water, and now she could fly. Ursia was looking as beautiful as the day she last remembered it.

A feeling of sadness and anxiety came over her as she lost control of her thrusters. Her Orca-class light cruiser gunship used its 4 thrusters heading to her direction. She was caught by it, as she teared up a bit. Her entire crew was dead. Her captain had always wanted to see the day when ships could fly, never to be restrained to floating or going underwater. She could now touch clouds and even the highest of mountains, but she could never bring them back. Orca cried a little, hugging herself. A little while later, she heard multiple thrusters. Not ones for an Orca-class, something far bigger. She looked up and saw the blue cloaked Leviathan staring down on her, his Leviathan-class airship right beside hers.

"C'mon, let's go," Leviathan said offering a napkin for her tears. Orca reluctantly took it. She heard it was his first captain's napkin. Still kept in the ship even after a hundred years. The other thing that Leviathan would always keep would be his revolver. It wasn't strong, and it didn't represent any of his modern weapons. It was just the gun of his captain. Apparently, when firing salvos, the captain would step out and shoot a bullet to an enemy ship. The crew using Ursian senses would follow the bullet and turn the guns on that exact point it hit. Leviathan took back the napkin and squatted down. He started drying her tears. "We have some orders to do. A possible exercise," Leviathan explained. Orca stood up as they headed back to base, ready for their first mission.

"They're proposing an exercise with our Valkyrs?" King Charles XIII asks. "Yes, Your Majesty." The envoy nods. "Well then, I approve of it. Let them witness a fraction of our might. Tell the Admiralty to send out Task Force C." The king replies.

Aircraft carrier Valkyr Regina Carolina stares at the seas as the winds brush against her blonde hair. Her bow-like aircraft launcher rests by her side. Sunlight reflects on her crystal blue eyes. "These Ursians...something just feels wrong with their request." "What's on your mind, ma'am?" A destroyer Valkyr tries to tap her officer, but Carolina is simply too tall. "Nothing, Cadenza. Call the rest." Carolina orders.

A man runs down General Harding’s hallway, “Sir!! The Sakirians and Ursians are fighting!! We should we did?”

“Finally something to shoot!” Harding says as he grabs a shredder rifle, “load up 250 men on a low orbit drop ship, we’ll give those Sakirians a piece of Trashkanistan steal!”

“But the Sakirians are our “ally”. Why should we attack them?” The man says,

“Because The Ursian Empire is one of our greatest allies, we must help them if needed.”Harding responds, “We won’t attack unless Ursia really needs it, now go load a drop ship with men, drones, and anti-aircraft!”

“Yes sir!” The man says as he runs off

Trashkanistan73, stand down. This is just an exercise drill between two nation's Valkyr. Ursia canonically would send you a telegram about when to declare war. I haven't telegrammed you about a new war yet. Besides, sending my forces first is not my first move when it comes to war in the modern era.

What's your favourite restaurant (or type of restaurant) to go to?

I don't usually eat out because I just can't afford it...but my favourite type of restaurant here is the hibachi. Some of my co-workers and I used to go to it for lunch, and it was always delicious...you get a salad with ginger dressing, a hearty beef broth soup dish, and then your main course. I would always choose rice + vegetables + chicken + beef, and then poured what they called "yum yum sauce" on the side that you could dip it in. More recently, I've seen you can purchase the sauce (by that exact name) at Walmart, so it must be very popular! It's been a few years since I've been there since the pandemic, working from home, and being the only person at home that likes that kind of food, but it's still my favourite. :)
