I think I've known you my entire NS career. But now it is time for me to move on and focus on what I have on my plate IRL as these are trying times for me at the moment with lots of big decisions to look forward to (or not).

Thank you everyone for all the memories, who knows, one day I may return.

My generation of players has pretty much come and gone for the most part. I came here for the game and stayed for the friends. But as time went on, as friends moved to different regions or cte'd, and especially after the raid, I've begun losing interest. I graduated HS and got into EWU, and was busy with stuff. Finally, I came here, with the idea of afk'ing here and potentially cte'ing in the future.
Then the announcement for shutting down the region happened, and I thought maybe I had it in me for one more go running a region. And I didn't. 9.5 hour days as a laborer doesn't lend itself to me wanting to do much after work beyond playing games with college friends. I should have known, really, but I didn't want to see what is pretty much the last Westphalia region die off. A great reactionary I guess.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I shouldn't be in charge anymore. I'm lucky if I check once a week now, and the region doesn't deserve that.
I'm going to step back from the government, let Nouvelle-quebec take over as WA delegate since he has the most endorsements after me. As to what happens to the region, I think it'll still putter on for a while if things go on as is, and it'll be a quiet little region, safe from raiding hopefully. I wish I could do more, like in my HS days, when the old region was still around. When everyone was still around.
I'll still be part of the discord server, and you guys are free to copy whatever factbooks my nation has. I don't know when I'll cte, but I think this is the end for me.

This site, has brought so much joy and grief over the years. I can't even remember how long its been since I first came here, 2015, 2016 maybe? And I made friends, in a place where I was comfortable to be more of myself and comfortable to express my opinions and beliefs. I'm thankful for all its done, and I just want to say thank you to you all who made this place what it is to me. I wish you all luck and happiness in the years to come.
