Hahaha I haven't heard anything more about the mouse plague since we talked about it last.

The floods are pretty bad, I think they're occurring in a different area though. To be honest I don't know much about it.

I suggest you read our By-Laws in our World Factbook Entry while you decide whether this is the right region for you.

After you have been in the region for 70 days you may claim an area of the map. You should claim an area commensurate with your size. IOW, if you have a population of 1 billion, China would not be a good fit for you.

It's a little too early to tell how effective the new government will be. They campaigned on social and economic issues created by the neglect of the previous government but I can't tell yet if they will deliver the necessary substantial reform. I don't see Australia halting coal exports any time soon.
There shouldn't be any change to AUKUS however the new government should be more cautious when signing up to the individual agreements.
