Hello. We are a small insignificant democratic country. We are looking forward to cooperate with other nations and have a good time (and supply you with our delicious beer). Yours faithfuly President of Pivonia.
Pokes Hello Westerners! I'm here to offer you a proposition. No, I don't want to marry all of y'all. I don't have enough room in my house. I would like to trade y'all a slice of caek for some chocolate. :)
Most of these rules are common sense and basic courtesy, so for everyone's enjoyment of the RMB, please follow them.
This is a worldwide game played in people's spare time. Understand that your post might not get a response in a timely fashion.
Try to keep the language to standard English whenever possible. Not everyone has English as their primary language.
If you must use a language other than English, you must provide an English translation for your fellow regionmates.
The RMB is not a personal chat room. Don't expect a full conversation to happen (we have Discord for that).
Always be courteous and respectful to your fellow players.
New nations who say "hello" for the first time should have their greetings answered in a friendly manner.
Help your fellow players when they have questions.
If you ask a question and are directed to look it up somewhere, look it up where they told you to go. Don't be mad at the person helping you for not writing a full page, detailed answer.
If things get heated, step away from the keyboard.
Any topic or subject (within game rules) is allowed.
Real world political topics (except for special circumstances) should go to the dedicated Discord channel, not the RMB.
Role playing should go to the dedicated areas on the Forum or Discord.
The following is never allowed:
Spamming / trolling / flaming / flame-baiting and the like.
Harassment in any form.
Rewording or otherwise changing a quote. -snip- is acceptable, any other changes are not.
Recruiting for another region.
Asking for endorsements (Delegate and Guardians are exempt).
Trying to incite / cause strife.
Posting in ALL CAPS. This is considered shouting and spam. Learn the formatting codes to get your point across.
ASCII art (except by a couple of long-time pre-approved users)
Large emoticons. :-) :-p and similar ones are fine. Ones that look like ASCII art or like this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ are not allowed.
Multiple consecutive posts are considered spam (unless a reasonable amount of time has passed). Exceptions to this are on special days like Karaoke Friday.
Useless comments that are intended to get attention and not move the conversation along.
The following is allowed occasionally:
Shortened words/phrases or initials. Phrases like "sup" or "IIRC".
Unicode (fancy-styled) fonts. Remember that they don't display properly on mobile clients.
Emoji in a message. Keep this to no more than one per post please.
Most importantly: Treat others with courtesy and respect.
Remember, the Delegate and Guardians have final say on what is and isn't acceptable.
*sips his wine as he watches the sunset* Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Astronomis Essentially one could argue it's a popularity contest. The more popular "baddies" will get condemned while the more popular "goodies" will get commended. Some of those resolutions are certainly deserved, as with the current resolution Commend Severisen. Some of the folks who have been condemned or commended in the past are not quite as deserving, in my humble opinion.
This is an announcement from the Ministry of WA Affairs to all WA residents:
Hi there, there has been a new resolution introduced to the Security Council chamber, and my recommended vote for this one is FOR. My full reasoning can be found at the thread, so head over there to read it and voice your opinions! Here's the link: http://www.westpacific.org/forums/index.php?/topic/3093-at-vote-commend-severisen/ (sorry for being late on this one, RL is being busy lately.)

TODAY IN THE WEST [Powered by IA] Cheesesteak Day- A cheesesteak is a sandwich made from thinly sliced pieces of beefsteak and melted cheese in a long hoagie roll. Philadelphians Pat and Harry Oliveri are credited with inventing the cheesesteak in the early 1930s when they made a new sandwich for their hot dog stand. It was actually originally prepared without cheese; the provolone was first added by a manager at one of the Oliveris' restaurants. Outside of Philadelphia, many establishments refer to it as a "Philly cheesesteak". For Cheesesteak Day, place a cheesesteak order on the RMB! I'll take a regular cheesesteak! *chomp*
According to a 'trusted source' the myth about the Moon being made of green cheese is this:
"The Moon is made of green cheese" is a statement referring to a fanciful belief that the Moon is composed of cheese. In its original formulation as a proverb and metaphor for credulity with roots in fable, this refers to the perception of a simpleton who sees a reflection of the Moon in water and mistakes it for a round cheese wheel.

Recuecn writes:No one really knew who Cio was, or how she had managed to get Rcuecn's spot in the WPBR. Just one glance at her demonic body was enough to make it clear that she couldn't be a native of the idyllic, alpine country. It had been hard for her to convince the judges to let her participate--when she told them she was technically immortal, they began to worry that she might have an unfair advantage. Cio promised that she would withdraw if anything happened to her that would normally kill any of the other riders and that she wouldn't use any magic. At all.
The fact that she could grow an extra pair of arms whenever she wanted was also an issue. Eventually, though, Cio convinced the judges it wouldn't help her, and might actually make it a bit easier to disqualify.
Of course, Cio crushed it, starting off the first weekend of the tournament with a 90 point ride and taking first place. The second weekend, despite only finishing one of her rides, she still managed to take sixth and hang on to her global ranking as first. She cut quite the figure with her flowing overcoat, loafers the size of clown shoes, and her wide-brimmed hat with the two horns of her mask poking up through it, all of which she refused to take off for the bull rides. She also, as often as not, carried her fanfiction book with her, bound in what looked like a massive leather encyclopedia. Nobody really understood any of it.
When asked her goals for the tournament, Cio merely screamed at the press. "Thickenskull tha! Us's winly quickwise!"

Actually by site rules recruitment posts in the GCRs are allowed. Guardians and The Delegate now suppress them a.s.a.p. and, if possible, ban the miscreant. There are rules recruiters have to obey - only one post per advertised region per 24 hours and if the last post is still visible on the RMB then a new message is not allowed.
Back in the days before suppression a group of us could move a recruiting message off the visible RMB in about 10 minutes or less.
