Over time the country became crippled because of its autarky policy and began heavily relying on Japan for support. Eventually Japan had enough influence in the country to dictate their foreign policy. Pro-Japanese unionists in Indonesia began to grow and the Emperor of Japan signed the bill for annexation. Indonesia accepted, seeing as it didn't see much opportunity if they didn't accept. Indonesia is annexed by the Empire of Japan. Shortly after this, talks of an invasion of China is in the works amongst the Japanese Military high command.
