‘Hard times are coming’; this statement by Čuvje Ándá at the Social Liberal manifesto launch dominates the Record’s headline, with the paper calling the manifesto a “doomsday tome”. The paper highlights pledges by the party to change the national government’s fiscal rules to curtail government borrowing, noting the Tax Research Commission’s warnings that they would entail a real-terms spending cut of overall government expenditure by 5.3% over the next Parliament. The Observer leads on the comments as well, asking “Where would the axe fall?”; they highlight how the plans would not be achievable without significant cuts to infrastructure spending, including the potential withdrawal of funding for the high-speed rail network Service 2. Elsewhere, the Sentinel leads on the comments made by Conservative leader Buohttá Áron about the Social Democratic Party at the Conservative campaign launch, wherein he called the SDP a ‘threat to democracy’, and the subsequent response by SDP leader Mercédesz Lukács on Twitter accusing Áron of “corrupting the youth and the FUNDAMENTAL MORALS of the Entropanian state”. Today Today also leads with Lukács’ comments, calling her leadership of the SDP one which “amplifies the worst tendencies of the party, one which has never been this extreme since its participation in the events of 1950”. The Protectorate leads with analysis of both the Conservative and Social Liberal manifestos, concluding that there “is very little difference to note between the two”, highlighting similar pledges on taxation and hate speech legislation. Maledonia Today leads with a commissioned poll indicating a surge in the vote for the Greens, a rebound following the party’s slow decline during the previous National Council session. |

Hello everyone! |
Hello! |
My apologies, it seems I got carried away. Let's establish relations. |
The League & Concord Question of the Day #55: I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation and now QoTD shall resume as normal. If you could instantly learn one language which would you choose? It's definitely a hard choice between what would be fun to know and what would be useful to know. I'd probably choose Japanese so I could easier consume Japanese media, but Spanish would be really useful in my actual day to day life. If you have any ideas for a QoTD please TG Ecalpa, Creeperopolis, DragonBorn Clan, Aralia, and 3 othersBootyswana, South Austral, and Dapines |
I speak Spanish natively and I already know English, so chinese I guess, or japanese Ecalpa, Creeperopolis, DragonBorn Clan, Aralia, and 2 othersSouth Austral, and Dapines |
Linear A, though I would also like to be able to watch Japanese shows without the subtitles. EDIT: Never mind, apparently they actually managed to decipher Linear A just four years ago. |
Like Ancient Babylonian or something - becoming instantly fluent in a dead language would provide groundbreaking new insights into history |
French since I don't want to learn Chinese, Hindu, or Spanish and those are all of the most spoken languages next to English. (Also welcome back from your vacation) |
Post self-deleted by Creeperopolis. |

The League & Concord Question of the Day #56: What's the most ridiculous NS issue you came across? It certainly isn't the most ridiculous, but the issue where you can create a theme park in your capital building always cracks me up. If you have any ideas for a QoTD please TG |
