The old left was still universalist, against racism, with the goal of uniting all workers against capitalism, even tho they were more socially conservative regarding LGBT rights by exemple, they had nothing in common with the far-right.

The far-right is anti-communist, against strikes and unions, they want to preserve capitalist, they're ethno-differentialists/racists and fighting LGBT rights is (almost) always part of their political agenda...

In the past while the old far-left might have been like "maybe gay people shouldnt adopt kids", "its not an important issue lets focus on class struggle" or in the really worst cases "homosexuality is bourgeois decadence and socialism will cure it" (Fidel Castro did this mistake and recognized he was wrong), the far-right was like "lets kill them all". Nothing to compare.

The old-left was like "lets focus on class struggle we'll debate of societal issues under socialism after the revolution, we must not divide the workers and we must focus on class struggle".

The far-right hate minorities, the old-left wanted to save all workers from capitalism, including minorities. they just didnt involve themselves in minorities struggles and sometimes criticized their struggles, their views, or their way of life.

Im old-left myself (some big parties are still the old-left kind, the new left call them "class reductionnists") and i think myself BLM protests are just dividing the worker and is no threat at all to capitalism, while
a big part of the new left fully support BLM.. It doesnt mean i dont want to abolish racism.

You can check "death to IDpol" on youtube for a little recent old-left song :)

I guess my question would be, if you're in favor of egalitarian measures in terms of distribution of value created by labor, and worker control of means of production, how could you divorce that from "social" aspects?

Socialist countries did that, workers had even more control in Yougoslavia with workers self-management, but LGBT rights were non-existant for a while (and remained inexistant in the USSR) and thats mainly because most of the workers didnt want LGBT rights at the time.

Democratic socialists are socialists who support a democratic state, as opposed to a dictatorship of the proletariat.

Social democrats are not socialists, but they do believe in trying to reform capitalism to be more humane via things like labor laws and a welfare state.

It’s not too late, you’ll will be able to make your nation socialist again when the right issue comes up.

yeah. If not known, this is a puppet of Anatoliyanskiy that was made to accurately reflect my views. Anatoliyanskiy used to be capitalist, then socialist for a while, and then I made the bad decision to make it capitalist again because I had not realized the flaws of social democracy quite yet.

And those with the strategic speciality (or economic specialty) please produce shields! We are being heavily targeted and we need as much help as possible to contain any damage if we do get stricken.

I like the idea of an NS world War scenario, but I don't like that it's focused around nuclear weapons. I would've joined if it was more of a general world War strategy game, like Hoi4, but without the graphics, or if someone made a mod that added your NS nation to hoi4 so that you could play multiplayer and roleplay with other players.

I'm producing shields. I'll try my best to shoot down all those incoming nukes.

You're asking way too much from a lame online text-based browser game made in 2002 to promote an Australian writer's book.
Also hoi4 sux.
