Post by The Antarian Commonwealth suppressed by New Astri. The 4th Republican Government of The Antarian Commonwealth A Yes for Both, the 1st was when I was in like, 3rd grade of primary school, and she got completely destroyed. |
Thank you comrade, together we are strong |
Democracy in of itself is not what’s hindering people. Socialism is the logical conclusion of democracy. What we call democracy in the liberal world is not democratic. It’s plutocratic republicanism. Europa volksdemokratisch sozialistisch and Socialist Indian Republics |
I’ve been on this site for years and this not my first nation. TCB has gone through various phases (including a Juche phase when Zenny was around) but currently it’s seems to embrace all sorts of leftist ideology. From Marxism-Leninism to Anarchism. |
Post by Socialist skyrim republics suppressed by New Astri. 1. Yes, from my experiences working in retail. Although I recall most of them being men. |
What is this “democracy” you speak of? Only dictatorships can get things done! /s |
And what is true democracy, in your opinion? |
The Retro-Futuristic Starship of New Astri now what part of "don't quote suppressed posts" do y'all not understand Brezzia, Eleutherya, and Jutterland |
The Rainbow Confederacy of UFROE Although I'm late to your post by a fabulous 2 hours, I have not seen a citizenship application from you comrade. As such I'd like to welcome you to the Bloc! If you wish to get involved with things in the region apply for citizenship in our forum. Dispatch for help on that: How to Apply for Citizenship A guide by the Ministry of Domestic Affairs Greetings, Comrade! Would you like to become more involved in The Communist Bloc? Would you like to hang out in the official Discord, vote on regional legislation, volunteer to help improve the Bloc, become a brave pilot in our regional military, or even run for office yourself? Then you need to become a citizen! This guide will help you become a fully-fledged citizen of The Communist Bloc! There are two requirements you must meet to gain citizenship: - Having a nation located in The Communist Bloc - Owning a World Assembly (WA) nation. The location of your WA nation does not matter. To submit your citizenship application, you will need to create an account for our forums. To create your forum account, follow these steps. The process will be demonstrated with screenshots. 1. Navigate to tcb.red and press the register button in the top right. 2. Fill out the registration form. It is highly recommended that you attach your account to an email you use specifically for NationStates purposes to ensure the privacy of your personal information. 3. You will see this message, which means a confirmation email has been sent to the email address you provided in step two. Open that email's inbox, find the confirmation email, and select the "Confirm your email" button. If you do not see a confirmation email, check your spam folder. 4. You will be redirected back to the forums, where you should see a confirmation message. Congratulations, you've successfully created an account on our forums! If you experience any technical difficulties during the creation process, you can ask for help troubleshooting by joining our official Discord and pinging @Masking. Now that you've created your forum account, it's time to submit your citizenship application! The process is very simple and will once again be demonstrated by screenshots. 1. Go to the Naturalisation Office subforum. 2. Click the button in the righthand corner which says "Post Thread.". 3. The page you will use to submit your citizenship application will appear. First, create your title in the "Citizenship Application: NAME" box. It should be in that format. Secondly, introduce yourself in the main text box below the title. 4. Answer each of the application questions. If you don't have an answer to a question or the question isn't applicable, answer it with "None" 5. Press the "Post Thread" button. You have now submitted your citizenship application! It will likely take the Ministry of Domestic Affairs approximately 1 to 3 days to process your application. To prevent electoral fraud, applications are not processed during election periods, but will be checked once the election ends. Once your application is approved, you're officially a citizen of The Communist Bloc! Now that you're a citizen of The Communist Bloc, we encourage you to explore the many opportunities available to citizens!

The Retro-Futuristic Starship of New Astri yes, that's what happens to posts which quote suppressed posts. they also get suppressed. complaining about a mod enforcing a very basic rule is a quick way to take a trip to the rejected realms Eleutherya and UFROE |
Because my country has a huge variety of food and I feel like I'm a little overweight |
The Syndicated Anarchic Regions of Shamian As any resident of Athens during the time of Solon etc would have told you, a representative democracy is no democracy at all. Taking a utopian view of things, a true democracy would see the bulk of its public officials* chosen by sortition (ie chosen by lot) from a pool of qualified candidates from amongst the general citizenry every two years. This appointed body of citizens - a senate if you will - would then elect from amongst its number a small cadre of individuals to fill the executive posts for that session. These folk would be responsible for enforcing/applying the laws passed by the people and shaping policy accordingly. The remainder of this "senate" would then would work to review existing law and draft new statutes as required. All changes or proposals would then be voted into law - or struck down - by a majority decision of the rest of the Citizens, acting as a directly democratic all-citizens Legislature. In this way, no self-serving political parties or formal factions could be established, although this is mostly a side affect. The true benefit of the bi-annual appointment of a random cross section of citizens to serve as the senate, is that it would ensure that the direction taken by the nation's political machinery always represents the true will of the people. And the regular refresh of officials means that incumbent post holders never get the chance to become out of touch with the desires of their fellow citizens. *it is likely that certain roles, such as ambassadors, chief medical personnel and military leadership etc would need to be directly appointed by the senate or permanently employed in such roles, due to lack of personnel with the necessary specialist skills. |
The Syndicated Anarchic Regions of Shamian Please refer to the post above yours - do not quote suppressed posts. The Management. |
The 4th Republican Government of The Antarian Commonwealth Question to the moderation: What is LARPer Behavior? I've been hearing that And I Don't know what it means so, I'd be grateful for an explanation. |
Were these, or atleast some of these features were present in Athenian Democracy? How fair is it to cite it as an example? (considering slaves, women and foreign nationals couldn't participate in this democracy) |
The Retro-Futuristic Starship of New Astri "LARP" is short for "live action roleplay." it's a type of roleplaying hobby where people roleplay as characters in a physical space--think renaissance fairs or murder mystery dinners. in some online leftist groups, people who are pretending to be leftists for fun but do not actually hold leftists beliefs are called "LARPers." i know it technically doesn't make sense in the context of the original term, but that's how it's used. when we talk about larpers in the bloc, we're usually referring to people who play up these really dramatized communist stereotypes while making bad assumptions about leftism and overall disrupting the rmb.
