The People's Red Republic of Pajonia

Comrades, here is my End of Term Address. Give it a read and claim your medals if you were given any:

Comrades, what a wonderful few months it has been. In my last End of Term Address, we were seeing massive growth and were sitting around 1,200 nations and 400 endorsements on our delegate. I am very pleased to say that during this term we have continued that growth and are currently sitting at 1,482 nations and 535 endorsements on our delegate! This is the largest population we have had in years, and the largest amount of endorsements our current delegate has ever had.

Last term we also saw a few massive Foreign Affairs moves, including embassies with the West Pacific and the Pacific, and a new treaty between TWP, TLA, and TCB: The Laika Accords. This term, we have continued that practice, opening a new embassy with Thaecia, and writing new treaties with them and our friends in the Pacific: The Treaty of Solidarity and The Collectivist Comrades Pact. Most excitingly though, we have revived and rebranded our regional military with great success, with a few successful operations already under our belt. The People’s Revolutionary Air Force (PRAF) will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. Our news was rebranded completely and we are getting more readers than ever, and frequently get to the top of the dispatch page on NationStates. There is so much the CoM has done this term that there is no way I could possibly talk about it all here or even remember it all. Some of it I can’t even talk about if I wanted to.

When I signed up for this job, I didn’t know what the future would hold. TCB was in a kind of rough spot, with around 700-800 members, and 200 something endorsements on the delegate. Activity was waning. It’s been a wild 6 months, but in that time, we have gone from being in a pretty bad position to one of the best positions we’ve ever been in, and that’s something I’m proud of. We have fostered a community that is fun and engaging, is only continuing to grow, and is more active than most other regions in the game; even some of the GCR’s.

Alas, I cannot be First Minister forever. As you’ve probably noticed by now, I am not running for a third term. It has been a long and exhausting 6 months as FM and I need a break. I was Minister of Information for three terms, and then First Minister for two. I will come back eventually, but for now I need to step away. Under my leadership we have gotten into a really good position, and it’s time for someone else to take the reins. All I ask of my successor is that they don’t squander it! We’ve made a ton of progress. The next government should be focused on continuing the growth we’ve had, but also retaining our new members. Getting 1,500 members seemed like an insurmountable task, but we are so close, and I know that we can surpass that and maybe even break our all-time population record if we play our cards right.
Now is the time I hand out awards and brag about how well people did this term. There are so many people that have contributed to the region this term that I will undoubtedly forget people because my memory is notoriously bad. If I forgot about you, don’t hesitate to send me a message on Discord or NationStates and I will fix it and edit you in. Also, I’m going to do things a little bit differently this time around, and hopefully set a precedent for future First Ministers. This is something that was recommended by my predecessor (and ironically, also my successor) last term, but I did not do it. I am going to award myself medals. First Ministers do a lot of work, and since they are the ones that hand out awards, they often don’t get the awards they deserve. In the future, I hope other First Ministers follow in my footsteps and give themselves the medals they deserve. Anyway, now onto the awards:

I am going to start with Iota (New Astri) because multiple people suggested giving him some medals and they are also someone that I personally believe deserves quite a few awards. Iota has sort of been my right-hand man this term. We have done a lot of Foreign Affairs work together, working on multiple treaties and embassies, and despite it being their first term in government, it feels like they’ve been here forever. They were instrumental to starting the PRAF and advertising it, and on top of their duties as MoFA she has done a ton elsewhere as well. An avid RMB mod, the most active manual recruiter I can think of, and now they are running polls and the very successful vote squad program. Anytime I needed something I knew I could go to Iota and we could get it done, and for that reason I am awarding him the First Ministers Star:

I am also awarding her a few more specific medals, The Order of Recruitment, 1st Class, for reaching over 5,000 manual recruitment telegrams sent, a truly impressive number.

The Distinguished Service Medal, for serving the Bloc in multiple areas.

The Order of the Dove for doing such fantastic foreign affairs work throughout their term and helping write multiple new treaties.

And for her work on the TCBook Club, The Cross of Education

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I will go on to Wascoitan, who has once again been an amazing MoDA and has done wonders for our recruitment. Wasc was also instrumental in making the PRAF a reality, and helped write a large majority of the executive order. She surpassed recruitment goals we didn't think were possible, and was also the person to start the vote squad that Iota has now taken to a new level. I gave her a bunch of medals last term, so anything I give her will probably be a repeat, but I am going to do it anyway. Firstly, The Order of Growth, for surpassing all expectations when it comes to recruitment.

The Order of Loyalty, for continuing to serve TCB for multiple terms even when being burnt out.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now onto Kavagrad. I have been doing anything I can to get Kava to join TCB for as long as I can remember now. I tried to write it into the Laika Accords that he would have to join TCB, I tried bribing and begging. Nothing worked. But for some reason he decided to make my dreams come true and became a citizen of TCB recently, and for that reason I am giving him the Order of Friendship

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am also going to give something to our Air Marshall, Aquila (Eriadni). Aq was also a huge help in creating the PRAF, serving as a great counsel while writing the executive order, and basically creating the entire Discord server in which the military runs its operations. For these reasons I am giving Aq The Order of Development

Aq also contributed to the TCBook Club, and is also going to get The Cross of Education

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam (The passerine islands) has also done a ton of work this term. They have completely revamped our news, and have gotten the news to a place where we consistently top the dispatch chart and get 100+ readers on our news posts. They are also largely responsible for the TCBook Club, a puzzle hunt for our Christmas fundraiser, and much more. For their work on The Red Standard, I am awarding them The Order of September

Along with The Order of the Guide

And of course for their work on the TCBook Club and the leftist reading resources, The Cross of Education

And for donating $50 to stamps, The Order of Recruitment, 1st Class

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am also going to award Arsa The Order of Artistry for making artwork for the People's Revolutionary Air Force.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And for myself, I am also getting The Cross of Education for working on TCBook Club

The Order of the Dove for working on 4+ new treaties over my terms

And lastly, The Order of Loyalty because I'll be d***ed if I've been in government this long and I'm not loyal!

I don't want to go overboard on awards for myself, so I'll leave it there. Again, if there is anyone I left out, please don't hesitate to reach out. Also, if you weren't left out but you felt like you deserved more medals than I gave you, reach out as well. There is no way I can remember everything everyone is done and I've undoubtedly forgotten to give someone the recognition they deserve here.

It's been a pleasure to serve TCB, comrades. Our future is brighter than ever, and I am looking forward to serving again in the future.

In Solidarity,
Ant (Pajonia)

First Minister of The Communist Bloc
