The Big Tex Happy Taco Stands of NewTexas As a Baby Boomer, when it came to punishments, PaTex used the belt (the thin one was worse than the wider one) and when it came to MaTex, it was a switch from "The Switch Tree". As we got older, she made us pick our own switch, and woe be unto us if it was too small, for she would pick a replacement switch that was much worse than we would have selected if we had thought it out. Oh yeah, the backs of the legs were worse than the butt. And, for you anti-spanker wankers, we turned out just fine and rarely, if ever, repeated the undesirable action. The Gigantic Frozen Igloo of Studly Penguins I'm going with Pats vs Rams for the SB. KC is vastly overrated against elite competition and their D is very suspect especially against teams that can manage any sort of rushing attack. Yes they're at home but this time of year belongs to NE and Brady and they throttled the team that beat the Chiefs a few weeks back. For the NFC side Im rolling with LA not only for their D but that rushing attack. Being able to have two 100-yd rushers in one game is something that has to be game planned for. Furthermore with the way NO struggled with Philly's D which isn's as good as LA could make for a long afternoon for Brees seeing the injuries the Saints sustained on the O line last night and he was under constant duress. |
I’m well-mannered but used to be struck with extreme fear when it’s time to receive my school report card. B’s: 5 strokes of the Rattan cane My mother caned me first, then my father caned me. Getting caned with the Rattan cane turned me into a Straight A student. Yuwen Xun a.k.a. John NewTexas, Issues Test Bed, Sedran colonial guard, and Specious present |
The Big Tex Happy Taco Stands of NewTexas Oh, was not immune from the paddle with holes. The school's disciplinarian, Coach, had the paddles, with and without, holes prominently displayed in his office behind his chair. The horror stories were great enough that we never personally experienced either one. |

The Big Tex Happy Taco Stands of NewTexas **** New WA Resolution Notification ***** There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count! The new Resolution is called: Category: Furtherment of Democracy Strength: Mild Proposed by: Imperium Anglorum The World Assembly hereby bars member nations from invoking a person's debts as reason to deprive that person of the right to vote"... <see the General Assembly for full text and to vote>" Analysis: The General Assembly wants to force you to give debtors special treatment. Um, no, our nation, our right to dangle, erm, determine that. Zero Stars. NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position. The Texas response was flat on the last GA vote -- Preventing Groundwater Contamination -- which was passed after gaining 86.1% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 3 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 0 FOR and 3 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were unanimous! Yay! If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join. All Texas WA Member nations please vote. Please make your Texan opinions known in Texas by 11:00 PM Wednesday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00 PM Texas Time on Thursday the 17th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 8127 Votes AGAINST: 4197 Big Tex PS: Remember, be sure to vote at the World Assembly too! |
I thought you guys might be being abused due to what United vinceland said: Ditto and I’m not a baby boomer. :D There's a belt hanging on the wall next to our front door as a subtle reminder to my siblings and I to behave or else we'll be punished with it. We see it every day when we enter or exit our house. My siblings and I called it “THE BELT” and its used by both parents to punish us. I'm curious to know how your Dad punished you for saying that to him and why did you say he’s turned to the dark side? No time is a bad time! Math is my favorite subject and I’m sure you’re a good teacher. :) Colonel Talitha Macer |
To discuss the latest resolution before the World Assembly, I have received a telegram from the 'Imperial Empire of Riakou' in which they plead for us not to vote for this particular resolution for two primary reasons: 1. The nation putting forward the resolution is merely trying to get themselves counted, so they can say, 'look at all the stuff we've done', Narusegawa will vote no on this resolution. NewTexas, Issues Test Bed, and Egregious erudition |
Point 1 is incorrect: The nation proposing the resolution already has over 20 resolutions to its name, so no more badges to gain for this... NewTexas, Safj, Issues Test Bed, Narusegawa, and 1 otherEgregious erudition |
Please explain this whole card game thingie to me too. This is the 1st time I've heard of it. Thanks in advance. Emir Gilbert Caspian Vetinari |
