Alright, I know some of you guys on here will not like this. Currently, there is a bill debated in the RCN general assembly to kill the region, scheduled to begin vote tomorrow afternoon and continue for 24 hours. I am not stating my opinion on it, I just believe this is something that should be discussed by everyone. Here is the text:

AB-09-05: the “Move On Act”; An Act to Dissolve the Republic of Conservative Nations
Proposed by: Assemblyman Not Gagium

The General Assembly,

Recognizing the fact that, throughout its two year history, the Republic of Conservative Nations has had its triumphs and its failures, making friends as well as enemies, and hosting a good share of celebrations as well as times of mourning,

Acknowledging, however, the recent history of the region, in which case the lack of passion and apathy held by many individuals has become very much apparent, especially with the recent emptying of the office of the Chancellor for a period of well over a week now,

Further recognizing, though not conceding to, the recent instability and response to said instability presented as a result of certain actions, of which highlighted the handicaps that the region fundamentally has as a result of said apathy, conceding that the vast majority of individuals have already given up on maintaining the region and a pleasant environment within the region,

Understanding the region’s history as a successor state to the Federation of Conservative Nations, but further understanding that the region’s system, built around elected officials as well as a group of Founders, cannot functionally work as the vast majority of the Founders either have moved on in their lives, or have made no attempt to resolve the issues plaguing the region, partially in recognition of the apathy held by the majority of the active region population,

Highlighting that this apathy, in effect, has resulted in the Republic of Conservative Nations lumbering on as a shell of a region, as a place that rarely sees serious, friendly conversation but rather feels more like a temporary entertainment venue rather than a cohesive community that cares for others,
Wishing not to force change or interest in others where there is none, but rather acknowledging that many members of the community have made the choice to move on, and perhaps it may be time to recognize that it may be in the best interests of the regional population as a whole to encourage them to move on and seek out change and new adventures,

The General Assembly of the Republic of Conservative Nations hereby declares that the following shall take immediate effect:

I. The Founders of the Republic of Conservative Nations, under the direction and in direct coordination with Founder and President Attancia, shall be obligated and directed to begin the process of dissolving the Republic of Conservative Nations, which shall be completed within a week of the passage of this Act.

II. Citizens and Residents of the Republic of Conservative Nations shall not be formally compelled on behalf of the Republic of Conservative Nations to join any particular region, but rather are encouraged to seek out their own paths and work with others to find a new home should they so desire.

III. On the passage of this bill, all government members serving directly or indirectly under the President, the Chancellor, or the Chief Justice shall be dismissed with due haste.

IV. The Founders are to take any measures deemed appropriate to preserve or maintain any property of the Republic of Conservative Nations as they so desire.

Gn everyone, things in the region are very hot headed rn. However we have been through worse and I advise all to think about their choices and what is to come. Personally, the RCN has been my home and only NS region I have been in and despite its falls and dispite it’s issues. It’s still my region and I will always pray for it to carry on and for its problems to be resolved. However, I understand the point that advocates for the bill are stating. As for example I have felt targeted in the past due to my slow reactions to thing, love for dinosaurs and my bad spelling. However, I do not want the people of the RCN to give up. I do like you all, even Furb is honestly one of the best RP writers and world builders I know of, among Gag and Legion as well I do still like you all dispite things that have happened. And I feel terrible for the people who are not overly active on the discord and are just regulated to the RMB. If the region is gone, I will miss so many of you. However if the populace agrees to the idea that it is a harmful environment then that is the populations wishes and one I will eventually have to come to agree with. But considering tonight has been an eventful night, again I advise all to get a good nights sleep and clear their minds.
