The Democratic Socialist State of Kjanu

Shuttle 46-NK, Low Utopia Orbit
Shuttle 46-NK was one of many small ships designed for transporting goods from the RIAS space elevator to various Kjanuan research stations in Low Utopia Orbit. Meant for unmanned travel, the shuttle was little more than a bland metal box with a line of chairs on the walls. Despite this, it had left the RIAS space elevator with a crew of four Kjanuans. As the shuttle drifted slowly towards its destination the crew sat in their bulky suits silently. The dull hum of the ship filled the empty hull. The crew of the shuttle had been seated in the silence for an hour, only left to stare at the cold metal walls in front of them.

The suits burst with noise, a screeching static that gradually gave way to a deep voice blanketed by static. It asked for a response from the crew, to which the crew responded with a slew of numbers, animals, and mythological characters. The radio responded as the heavy static crunched. It barked information and orders: no communication, no noise, no memories, no thoughts, nothing but the mission. The man commended the Kjanuans thanking them for their service and reminding them that Kjanu depended on their actions, then he wished them luck as the static overwhelmed his words and the radio cut out entirely.

The shuttle slowly came to a stop. The crew left their seats and floated around the empty room.
They collected the case of items, a small briefcase full of paints and candles, and tethered themselves inside the shuttle before opening the hatch. The bright blue surface of Utopia lit up the ship, reflecting the light of the bright star behind them. Floating in between the planet and the small shuttle was the Asano-Era Phoenix-3, a modular station that was barely larger than the shuttle. The astronauts pushed off the shuttle and began traveling to the station as it sat motionless.

The four Kjanuans slowly arrived at the station and grabbed onto the exterior, crawling along the white tubes until they reached the hatch. They opened it slowly, attaching their tethers to the exterior of the ship before entering the rudimentary airlock. Once inside the crew closed the exterior door and drifted further into the ship. The layout was simple, the core tunnel served as management for systems, to the left a small room for experiments and opposite it what habitation space. As the crew entered the main room they found the station dilapidated, with wires and junk drifting in the cabin. The crew continued to the experimental hall, a small tube with a flat wall and a small window opposite the door, centered on the distant sun.

Inside the small lab, the crew was cramped but began to unpack the briefcase they brought with them. The candles were set in a circle along the window's edge as they began to paint the window with a thick black oil. Once it was fully covered, the crew used a bright red mixture to paint intricate patterns along the inside edge of the circle. By the time the circle was complete the station faced the darkened surface of Utopia and its bright cities. The four Kjanuans sat themselves along the circle’s edges, looked at each other, and closed their eyes. When they opened their eyes the dark paint over the window was gone and the distant sun had been replaced with a rolling cloud of grey fog. Something hit the station’s exterior, causing the fragile hull to shudder and groan.

“Hey, where did you say the telescope was pointed at?”
“Oh some cross constellation, it's named after some Svarzian myth or something. I need a picture for school. ”
“Are you sure you set it up right? I don’t see anything.”
“Really? Let me see, you sure you didn’t move it?”
“I couldn’t move it if I tried.”
“Hm, I could’ve sworn they said there would be no clouds tonight, I guess we will have to come back out tomorrow.”

My dear fellow members of Northern Utopia, I implore all of you to create a proposal to once again create a ban on the sterilization of minors. This is a clear violation of human and civil rights. In fact, I believe we should take it a step further and ban all sterilization entirely and that any country who does it must be international condemned. I would like to create the proposal myself but unfortunately while I am a WA member, I am short of 2 endorsements to do pass any proposal.

The Federal Socialist Republic of Astana-Anders

Also I got this puppet state named Aegos, do you mind giving them an invitation so my puppet state could join us?

OOC: Hi.

To join the region as a puppet nation, simply login with that account and travel to the Northern Utopia page. Scroll down a little until you find a button titled 'Move Aegos to Northern Utopia!' (then click it).

On the WA matter - whilst you are absolutely free to roleplay about that topic, it's worth noting that in the 'NU roleplay world', the WA doesn't actually exist. Of course, you can still take part in the WA on the site, but as far as the region is concerned, it doesn't have any impact/weight here. Hope this helps!

EDIT: What do you mean by yeses or noes? (A small, polite note on top of that - try to make posts at least 45 words long so as to make sure the roleplay RMB doesn't get clogged up. Telegram me if you still have questions. Thanks.)

Darkstar cabal

Steam billows across the populous platform, shouts and jeers echoing all about as the girl kept her focus on her pen in hand, quivering fingers failing time and again to draw delicate wings before the shrill whistle of the departing train startles and scatters her attention, the gilded pen rolling away to crushed underfoot...

Ira stood before the single mirror, the wooden vanity chest kept in a discordant lighting as she delicately applied a naturalistic layering of hopefully alluring makeup.
Hands kept busy between bouts of observation, the lingering projections showing the cloud of uncertainty fed from every observable point, with a flurry of texts consuming meaning as a constant chime called for attention in the hall behind her.
Her efforts drew attention to the deep blue of her eyes, a hint of purple shining through her shattered irises with a scant shadowing to mask the aging synthetic skins.
Hair straightened before she severed it just above her neck, threading the fibres between her fingers with a wistful sigh and answering the constant call for attention, "You may enter..."
Elise's translucent blue form manifested immediately behind the mirror, "Didn't think you were one for the vampire look." she spoke with a forced bluntness.
"So what is it?" Ira inquired, returning to styling her hair.
Elise pointed, the visage of the cloud expanding, "Okay so V picked it up like before anyone else, a few people have taken notice but..." she started, contorting the image about its axis with a frantic flurry of fingers.
"Most people are calling it weather but... it's not, we're looking at something about half a million kilometres out and approaching quite fast."
Ira pulled opened one of the wooden draws and slipped on a pair of gloves from within, "How long do we have?"
"...I... well I think we have a week but that's not important!" Elise retorted as she shook her hands at the display, "It's WHERE... it came in obscuring a constellation of some significance to a cult based in..." words falling short as Ira stood up, pulled on a pair of heels and walked down the corridor.
Left alone, Elise quickly ceased her projection and darkness quickly consumed the room.

Ira's heels clinked softly against the metal floor of the bulky utilitarian hangar, her chrome coated craft nestled in its intricate cradle with the soft crimson coloured seat suspended below it, she smoothed her dress and sat, the seat seamlessly folded away into the vessel.
An dull static whine carried through the cockpit before the enveloping screens came to life, displaying a perfect panoptical vision of the dull grey hangar as grasping arms threaded the ship through the dark launching tube.
A surge of water filled the void before the launch door opened, disturbing the gathered life about the bulk of the Dragon's Tooth, bioluminescent figments scattered from the path ahead as the sleek craft drifted out into the ocean's depths.
Ira lay a hand forwards and began to guide her craft towards the long-distant surface, the all-consuming dark left Ira alone with her thoughts.

An hour later the craft shot through the ocean's swell, greeted by a serene star filled sky, the celestial scattershot scintillating like all nights before though with a near imperceptible blot hanging just in the corners of Ira's vision.
She turned her gaze down, voyeuristically peering at the distant cities from her invisible vantage, sweeping sensors and precision lenses revealing the depths of the millions beneath, all contently existing.
Laughing friends, a couple's retreat, a dog barking at the moon.

The eternal celebration spitefully continued below in a sheer defiance of Moita-Candoran troops, with the so called 'capital hall' infested with the night's debauchery, a plaza rebuilt time and again.
Smartly-suited men and women stuffed between the servers with far less covering clothes, dancers and fire-breathers entertaining the political elite.
Ira's craft lazily drifted down from the cloudless sky, its seamless silver shape drawing many a wandering eye, the floor beneath her folded open and the seat descended, giving little attention to the security staff beyond throwing a placating bundle of rias at them.

Brilliant lights and glamourous gilded interiors greeted her at the bottom of the stairs, velvet-ropes and velore drapes masked styled wooden tables hosting games and drinks from all corners of Utopia.
Prepared with pilfered finances, Ira entered with a considerable splash, stirring the scene and buying out every drink on offer, pulling with her a blonde-haired cabaret dancer and retreating to a private room.
---

Titania Steele stepped out of the dark crimson limousine to the sight of Miotia-Candor Military Police struggling to keep the drunk and eager crowd from descending into further chaos, the pale-skinned redhead vanishing into the crowds to slip past the overstressed officers.
Janitors seemed to be struggling as the excesses of the night consumed the floors, vomit and spilled drinks in hideous abundance both.
Skirting past roaming patrols and through the overrun gambling rooms, Titania arrived at the heart of the Quindecium, picking the suspiciously quiet room at the back as her destination...

A swift knock upon the wooden door, an unenthused "What is it?" called out to her, "I'm here for the end of the world shindig." Titania replied.
Ira appeared at the door after a few suspicious minutes, synthetic skin marked with smeared lipstick as she shuffled the dancer out.
"May as well not keep you waiting." Ira spoke with a hint of defeat, leading Titania into the dark room, to explain all that was to come...

The First Court

Gong

The bells of Taijing tolled its sonorous chime, shaking the morning air. The wide paths that flanked the Southern Road were filled with crowds.

Gong

On every one of the wooden eaves, columns, and roofs of the pagoda styled buildings, red ribbons hung. It was the dawn of the new year, and that meant one thing.

Gong

Away at the Great Gates of Taijing, the doors opened to the beat of huge drums. Its towering wooden doors revealed a vast column; a column of people in long silken robes. First came a cavalry, in gilded ceremonial armour, in which they held gilded halberds and the silk banner of the Fengese flag.

Dancers with long, flowing sleeves flitted about, light as feathers. Court ladies in trailing robes held lanterns of ornate carved wood and gold. Servants held vases of blue and white. And guards on white horses preceded an entourage of four carriages. Each was surrounded by four servants that wielded sceptre fans of peacock feathers, six that held silk lanterns, and each had a guard holding a towering banner. The gilded sun of Fengdu, the white tiger of Beizhou, the Moon of Xisheng, and the lofty mountains of Zhangjie.

There was a huge cheer, rising as a brilliant entourage came into view. Golden birds with tails more elegant and longer than that of a peacock. Huge banners of the Fengese flag, many towering carriages of gilded wood, phoenix feather fans, and servants carrying many historic ornaments. This was the entourage of the Imperial Family, with the Fengese aristocracy close behind. They passed through all seven of Taijing’s walls, before the Yongan Palace came into view.

Its gates were towering, with seven archways. The gatehouse was more ornamental then fortification, with its orange-gold roofs and crimson walls and pillars. Behind it, the rest of the Palace rose in a golden mass of roofs.

Empress Taihe peered out the window, saw the Palace’s doors creak steadily open. Her imperial robes were spread out upon the floor, and would’ve trailed in a train of seven feet if she stood and walked about. Well…. she sighed. Here we go again.

The Experimental Academy City of Minervaindexca

(UKMC Spin-off)
Asgard Subway Terminal, Valhalla Academia Campus, Minervaindexca
The station was crowded with students heading home during this time. Some were with friends, some were on their phones, some were having a dual in a VR game. Valhalla Academia's Discipline Committee members walk along the side on their patrol. All's right with the academy city.
Until a group of delinquents hopped through the ticket gate and ran towards the exit.
"What are the heck are you idiots doing!? Go get them!"
A higher ranking Discipline Committee officer shouted at the patrols from behind the ticket gates.
The delinquents quickly dropped a brownish smoke bomb as they head up the stairs. The DC member attempted to follow. However, they all gave up before they could reach the stairs. Some started to vomit on the side.
"Gas attack!"
One of them shouted before rushing to the toilet while he holds it in.
"Goddamnit. Evacuate the students, their safety should be prioritized. I'll contact the SSC(Staff Security Council)."

Outside of Asgard Terminal, Valhalla Academia Campus, Minervaindexca
"Have they given up?"
One of the delinquents asked their leader as he catches up with the rest of the group on his bike under the night sky.
Just as they thought they were safe on the highway, a Corrector jumped onto the highway from a nearby dormitory apartment.
"Boss! The DCs have sent Corrector! And it's a Sentinel-class!" ([Corrector] = Voluntas Inc's Stolen & Modded [Aragami Drones])
The mechanical spider tank quickly folded its legs and switched to wheels and followed them. The humanoid sentries on the Sentinel-class Croeector were all aimed at the delinquents. Threatening to fire.
"This is Mike Miller, Major of the 5th Divi-"
Before the person inside the Corrector could finish one of the Delinquents took out a large tube resembling a rocket launcher. He pulled the trigger and it fired a net made of unknown material onto the Corrector. One of the three humanoid sentry on the spider tank tried to cut with its sharp claws, however, the net was stuck to the surface like glue. With its movement restricted, the Corrector can no longer use its weaponry. The spider tank starts to slow down to keep its balance as the elastic net start to solidify.
Soon, the Corrector could do nothing other than watching the delinquents getting further and further away, eventually disappear on their stolen kindergarten tricycles.

Warehouse Sector, Anubis Complex Campus, Minervaindexca
Parking their tricycles on the sides, the delinquents headed into the abandoned warehouse with their precious goods.
Standing on the other side was the chairmen of the Medjed bike gang, nicknamed Osiris.
"I assume you've brought the goods?"
Osiris asked as he orders his men to open their metal briefcases. Showing a collection of used textbooks filled with notes of genius upperclassmen.
"We've smuggled them as promised."
The smugglers replied as they put on gloves. Opening the sealed package with care.
On the surface, it was sealed with an experiential material resembling lead made by one of the Fenrir Academia's science club. It was used to block x-ray scans. They opened it with a key.
The second layer was sealed with a thin layer of Graphene reinforced carbon fibers.
The third layer was sealed with Polystrene. One of the smuggler delinquents took out a hot wire cutter and begin opening it.
"Be careful."
Osiris told them.
They've finally reached the cardboard boxing.
Opening the cardboard boxing with a regular cutter knife a vault could be seen.
"No wonder this thing was so damn heavy."
One of the smuggler delinquents said as his boss begins entering the password.
Inside the heavily sealed package were also books.
However, they were not books one would see in Minervaindexca every day. In fact, some students might of the academic city might not even know these types of books existed. These were forbidden books, forbidden knowledge. Banned and censored by the moral committee of Minervaindexca's high Student Council Sanctum. The delinquents of the academy city have always been on the frontline fighting for this freedom. The books that are so important, and considered extremely dangerous by the moral committee, unheard of by the average residences of Minervaindexca are porn books.
"Stop right there!"
Someone from outside the warehouse shouted with a microphone.
In an instant, the roof of the warehouse was blown open, as a special force of the Student Discipline committee drops in with student handbook size of a shield, steel ammo airsoft, and sword size cutter knives. A zeppelin and a fleet of apache could be seen right above the warehouse surrounding area.
"Under Section 1, Article 1 the Minervaindexca student handbook, You're all under arrest."
The commander of the special force announced as her team starts putting handcuffs on the delinquents.
Within a few moments, a DC member slide down the rope brings a flamethrower with him.
"Your student rights will be taken away during your time you serve in the detention camp, you scums."
She announced as the flamethrower begin burning the books.
"That's a violation of human rights!"
Osiris complained.
"Humans rights? You don't deserve them."
The commander replied, then order to have the delinquents pulled up to the zeppelin.
Standing and glaring at the delinquents' ascend to the airship, her back enlightened by the lights of the Student Council Sanctum fortress at the heart of Minervaindexca. She shouted and reminded the delinquents:
"Porn is Terrorism"

Kim found himself sitting at home, the long-day had flown by, his little brown dog ponderously settled at his feet as he watched the news.
"...reports from observatories about the globe have all correlated the announcement made earlier today, the stars are being obscured." the dull haired announcer rattled with mild enthusiasm, a façade for the slow news day.
'Huh... that's odd.' Kim thought to himself.

Jack swiped the sweat from his brow, the long day had been hard on him, a moth fluttered past his lamp as the announcement on the small plastic radio told of disappearing stars.
"Nonsense..." he thought aloud as he headed to the small fridge to fetch himself a drink.

Noelle was jogging late into the night, the local air unseasonably cold, she must of thought to have taken advantage of the momentary lapse in summer.
Taking a moment to catch her breath, she looked to the stars, a small patch of a distant constellation seemed to not be there today.
"...huh..." she muttered, a momentary curiosity about the sudden urge flickered through her mind.

Akemi was alone, as usual, the quiet night had coaxed a momentary lapse in her diligence as she turned on her laptop, the screen bathing the dark room in a warm glow as she trailed the cursor to the KJnet browser.
Her homepage was filled with mentions of mysterious vanishing stars, it chilled her slightly but she moved on to search for videos of cats.

Mark was bored, the office bored him, everything bored him.
He was alone, at night, again.
He ached... wanting something more, the tight perfect confines of his flesh and the sterile sanitary environments just bored him.
He sought a temporary reprieve by taking advantage of empty building to turn his terminals volume up, wandering between empty cubicles as the rolling news cycle filled him in, stars were vanishing.
"Good." was all he could say.

Nathan was diligently attending his work, the rows of data-sheets would not fill themselves, a ponderous reflection as he felt there was something... different in the air today.
His break came, he stood up and made his way to the small kitchen on site, starting a pot of coffee in the empty room before a somewhat scandalously dressed secretary entered, she grabbed a biscuit and started eating it somewhat oblivious to Nathan's salacious gaze at her red dress.
"Oh, did you hear?" she suddenly asked, "The stars are going out... spooky."
"Are they?" Nathan replied, a thought rolled through his head, 'Oh they did it... my brothers and sisters they DID it.'

The Alpine Kingdom of The Soviet state of Svalbard

In a quiet and unassuming corner of a small coffee shop in Metonbav, a small, young woman was diligently working on a laptop, her startling bright blues eyes seemed to be intensely focused on the spreadsheet presented in front of her; meticulously going over the data again and again. The espresso she had ordered a few minutes ago sat half finished on her left, helping to warm her up in conjunction with the fire place unobtrusively cracking off to her right.
The tranquility of her work was soon interrupted by the doors to the shop being swung open, letting in a barrage of chilling Autumn air. As the cold pierced her body, the woman looked up to see a familiar figure: a similarly short man with much darker skin than her own, wearing a long, lime, mackintosh coat down to his knees. His facial features were obscured thanks to his head being wrapped in all sorts of cotton attire, most offensively a red and black bobble hat sitting astride his head.
After shutting the door behind him, he took a moment to scan his surroundings, eventually finding his target in the corner by the left of the door. He did little to hide the broad grin that quickly spread across his face as he marched over to his friend’s table. On the receiving end, the woman chuckled slightly as she observed the ridiculous sight of a fully grown man making his way over to her, like a child seeing his toys on Christmas morning.

“Here we go again” She mumbled under her breath - not quiet enough to not be heard, however.
“Here we go again indeed, Freya! We haven’t talked in person since New Year! Surely there’s stuff we have to catch up on?”
“Ah yes, of course there is Meikliov, for example: what is that utterly abhorrent creature you have on your head?”
“Ah, this” Meikliov removed the offending item from his head, the aforementioned red and black bobble hat. “Well after New Year I got to go back home to Nøgi Mummá in Djublaheim, and to keep her busy in retirement she’s taken up knitting! So she made me... this, and uh, between you and me I don’t think she’s very good yet... but, I don’t have the heart to tell her that, and when I got recalled to the capital she said she wouldn’t let me out the house unless I wore it back, so, here it is”
Hearing the story touched Freya, as she knew how difficult things were for Meikliov’s grandma, so as to not dwell on a melancholic thing too long she decided she needed to change the subject.
“Ah, I understand... anyhow, you never told me by you were coming back early, I thought you had the whole year off?”
“Well, I thought that as well, however apparently there’s been an uptick in crime ever since a highly successful robbery at a museum in Søtberry, and the justice department’s been flooded with cases, and due to the naturally small number of members they have they’ve been required to call back people like me on break to deal with the issue”
“How curious, because I’ve also been doing something related to that”
“O-ho?” Meikliov then leaned round the table to take a look at Freya’s laptop, baffled by the seemingly endless and meaningless strings of data in each box.
“Well, the Third Sector knew an attack was coming at Søtberry, and they were supposed to be on high-alert, however all their deployed members got incapacitated and couldn’t do anything to stop it. No one knows who or why this happened, so they’ve asked me to look into it”
“Ooooo, working for the Third Sector now, how fancy”
Ugh, I’m a civil servant Meikliov, I just work for the government, so any part of the government can ask me to do work for them. Anyway, with all the crime stuff you mentioned coming up, I’ve also been asked to look into the causes of that, so I’ve been completely swamped by work for the past month or two”
“Well, if it makes you feel better, I’m sure I will be too in a few days”
“Knowing your suffering alongside me always eases the pain Meikliov”
“Heh, thanks”
“Uh, excuse me sir but are you ready to order now?” Unbeknownst to the pair at the table, a tall waiter had come over them, noticing earlier that Meikliov had walked inside then ordered nothing.
“Hmm? Ah yes, sorry, let me get...”
Meikliov ordered, then the two sat in silence for a while. Meikliov read the news feed on his phone, whilst Freya continued to compile her ever-increasingly large pile of spreadsheets. Eventually after Meikliov’s order arrived and the waiter had left them alone, Freya let out a long sigh, alerting Meikliov’s attention.
“Hmm? What’s up?”
“It’s just, looking at everything that’s going on; the stars going out, Kkhano coming back, all the political violence, this stuff at home; it seems like everyone in the world’s gone crazy and we’re all suffering from it. Yet, no one’s got a clue why it’s happened or what the solution to it all is - makes you feel sort of powerless, you know?”
Meikliov contemplated this for a while. It was true, it seemed everything was only getting worse just about everywhere; but being the blindly, unendingly optimistic person he was, he wouldn’t let it get him or his best friend down.
“Well, you are right, but we can’t just let that blind us to the little fortunes that smile down on us”
“Oh yeah? Like what?”
“Well look at us right now: we’re together again after months of being apart, surely that’s worth being happy about, no?”
“Heh, I can’t deny that”
“Exactly; I’m right as usual”
“I would personally replace the phrase ‘as usual’ with ‘for once’, if it was me”
“Touché, Freya, touché”

The silent leviathan drifted a gentle thousand miles above the planet, its dark plating shielding it from observation as within a payload was prepared... in a coordinated instant its angular bow split and a dozen meter dartlike probe shot forth, travelling towards the anomalous shadowy blight that encroached upon Utopia.
Shrouded engines shunted the leviathan back, accelerating it back into the depths of space...

She watched, she waited... wired to the reads of every camera, every sensor, every possible permutation that she could process within.
One star vanished, the another... replaced with all consuming dark, every angle soon covered with the oppressive shroud... every torturous second spent in anticipation of...
Her thoughts scattered when the stars returned, a flustered frustration quickly had her pull apart every second of the data, her only conclusion was that the field was fourth-two thousand six-hundred and twenty-six meters in length.

Ira swung the metal door open, gazing out upon the city lights as she casually walked to the edge of the building, leaning out over the helipad to watch the crowd below as Titania shoved through behind her, copious amounts of bottles bundled up in her arms.
Ira brushed the last remnants of lipstick from her cheek as she pointed out vaguely northwards, raising a hand to a small dark segment of the sky; "Just about there..." she mused, glancing back at Titania.
"You sure?" Titania replied as she set down the bottles one by one, "Can't make heads or tails of it myself, what even IS it?"
Ira held her arms out wide, "An omen, ascension!... or a portal to another land or some kind of entropic field, depends on the religion I guess." she spoke powerfully as she produced a slender silver pistol from her dress's long sleeve, "I never paid as much attention to it as I should of."
Titania walked to Ira's side and puffed out her cheeks, "End of the world indeed."
In the long distance, lights started the streak skywards, brilliant blue trails leading to momentary intense flashes within the segment of sky Ira had alluded to.
The display caused Titania to furrow her brow, "...the hell they playing at?" she pondered, Ira replied with a laugh; "When all you have is a hammer..." with her words punctuated as a beam of light split the sky, burning white hot for an intense moment before fading to nothing.
"Pissing in the wind it seems." Titania mused before she pulled her arm back and hurled a bottle over the side of the Quindecium, caught by surprise Ira took quick aim but didn't fire.
"Really should call it, dear." Ira stated with an amused bluntness.
"Why would I make it easy for you?" Titania replied.

CSV Paragon pulled ever-closer to the... the empty void in space, careful to maintain a comfortable light-second's distance between them and the edge of Nothing.
"Steady, Lieutenant. The longer we can avoid the steady stream of nukes, the better," Commander Evenstar said, mag-boots firmly planting her on the ground as she stood behind the science console. "Any data?"
"Nothing, nothing, and more nothing," the beleagured science officer said, leaning to one side to give Samara a better view of the data on her console. "Most of our sensors on the forward end are being blocked by the constant explosions, but our rear sensors are still reading absolutely nothing. I've tried a hyperspectral scan, gravitic sweep, I've even asked the LIGO array and the VLA for anything they have. Whatever this object is, it's 100% opaque to everything we can throw at it. I can't even tell if it's a thing."
"Well, shit." Samara sighed. "That makes my job harder. Anything you haven't tried yet?"
"Well, I sent a probe in, and as soon as it hit the... boundary, it just vanished. All I can think of is flying the ship itself in, which seems like a monumentally stupid idea."
"... I don't think that's a very good idea, no. Just... do your best."
"Aye, ma'am..."

"What do reports say?" The so called Mister Ivar spoke to his assistants, one offering a data pad as the other worked on his. With a sigh, the man took the data pad, setting his coffee aside. Ring tapped deftly against the side of the device, sliding a finger over the figures on display. "Is Skeggi stealing the stars to empower his husband, my Thane?" A finger is brought up to hush the other, both assistants watching on in silence. "I'm no Thane anymore. And this isn't the act of the gods. At least, not ours. Those stars aren't being taken. They're being covered. Make sure this data makes it way to the chief advisor. Quietly. We don't need him figuring out what's going on if this all blows over." Both moved to attention, moving quickly out of the room.

The disembodied voice came once they were gone, "Is there anyway I can be of service, Mister Ivar?"

"No thank you. And please. Call me Jon."

FIRE!
Cyrogenic fluids sparked alight, producing a wispy translucent flame that blasted from the barrel of the colossal cannon, lightning sparking through the fiery cloud as the entire eighty meter assembly was driven half its length into its cradle.
The multi-ton projectile streaked through the air towards its distant target, the immense SOI-ENF orbital pacification weapon slowly forced back into position as another payload was prepared.
A swarthy dark-skinned woman clad in a bulky industrial exoskeleton lofted the black-painted shell covered in radiation warnings, forcing the round into the end of the weapon as the breach was forced shut.
Liquid oxygen and hydrogen was pumped through the winding pipes, mechanical locks engaged, hisses from small leaks filled the air as heavily padded engineers did the best they could to clamp them down.
Soon only the electrical whine of the elevating barrel was all that remained, the crew standing in an anticipatory silence before the thunderous roar sounded again...
The ground shook, the barrel retreated, the frantic work continued.

Shuttle 46-NK, Low Utopian Orbit
The empty metal hull was open to the vast expanse of space. The ship’s blocky front faced the bright sun in the center of the system. It had been an hour since the shuttle had arrived in the orbit of Utopia and the opened door on its side slid shut. As the ship slowly drifted away, four long tethers tailed along its side, severed at the ends. In place of the crew and station the cords were once attached to was an empty expanse. A perfect black circle, a small white barrier, a small shadow on the surface. It was a thin blanket, its ragged ends spun rapidly like sparks, slowly growing the border wider.

The gateway had been opened

The hills pierced the white sky, the Sunless Forest stood before the astronauts. The station sat behind them, twisting, turning, its modular design had given way to the metallic worms that festered in the Beneath. The Kjanuans had forgotten about the station, joy had overcome them as they completed the final ritual. They walked through the valley of tall green hills, the fog above them flowed quickly between the hills, the forest cleared in front of them to show the Stone in the Mist. Its gargantuan size was present even as it looked smaller than a fist in the sky, the light it radiated bathed the Kjanuans in a warm glory.

The Kjanuans sprinted through the forest, their deity gave them powers to manipulate the Realm of Mist and it had bended to allow their passage. They passed over the River of Worms, where the non-metallic Sons of the Mechanical Heart churned in rage. They passed around the Church of the Winged Knives where the attendees participated in frenzied feasts. They flew over the chasms of the infinite abyss, the Beneath where the Mechanical Heart imprisoned the Flowering Star and turned its growth into the Machinations.

A realm of gods and none truly mattered, they all held their place and the Kjanuans recognized this. The Stone in the Mist was the origin of man, and to this they would return.

The Stone in the Mist floated in the sky above them, it shrieked a constant dull noise as the fog above it was pulled into the dark obsidian orb. All that was visible was the very bottom of the Stone in the Mist, the rest was covered by its warm light. They gathered around the Maw of the Forest, the dark inferno that circled around the Stone in the Mist. It bellowed to them with the screams of the Unloved, the Fallen. The Tidal Swarm came to them in their thoughts, buzzing and bubbling. A light shone from deep below, the Crown of Mirrors attempted to find a wearer. Unfortunately for the Unloved they were forgotten by the astronauts, who wept as the Stone in the Mist blinded them with its light and love. It whispered in their heads.

The Beginning the End. The Doorway the Start. The Race Ending. The Power Returned. The Histories Calm. The End the Beginning.

The astronauts slowly sunk to the ground with smiles on their face. They prayed to their god, thanking the Stone in the Mist for its power and guidance. The astronauts slowly sunk into the ground. They cried out to their god, joyous to be reunited with the Ground-that-Makes-Up-All.

The astronauts disappeared into the ground, and the Stone in the Mist glowed brighter, its warm embrace spread all across the Realm of the Mists, expanding to even the darkest edges of the Unbound Walls.

The doorway above the surface of Northern Utopia grew, it was only the size of a small car but it continued its slow growth around the planet’s surface. Soon all would be embraced by the Stone in the Mist.

Solis Sa Campus, Minervaindexca
Ophelia awoke to the morning bell, the long heavy chimes sounded from a woman in a dark cloak patrolling the concrete corridors, followed shortly by two girls busting through her door.
The first was Amy the steelsinger, dressed ruggedly with metal plating over her jet black overcoat, blonde hair tied back in a bun and carrying a heavy leather bag, following her was Ophelia's appointed attendant, Nevari.
Nevari bore the typical attire, the intricately styled black dress matted with protective padding and a white petticoat concealing blades and her Thorn heavy pistol.
Amy dumped the bag besides Ophelia's bed, "Come on don't do this to me..." she murmured, frustrated.
She watched Ophelia yawn before she pulled the quilting and sheets off the bed with one forceful tug, leaving the girl exposed to the cold air of the underground facility.
Ophelia snapped to attention, sitting up expectantly as Nevari pulled her arm up to dab it down with a moistened scented cloth.
"How many you need for today?" Amy inquired as she unzipped the bag, "Two spare, I think..." Ophelia replied, masking another yawn.
Three magazines were set on the table, followed by Ophelia's gun, the slightly tarnished Thorn bore scratches upon it's floral styling that Amy tutted under her breath about, the steelsinger collected a case from within the bag that contained the ammunition she had spent all night crafting, setting about inserting each round delicately into the magazines as Nervari silently bathed Ophelia.
Cleaned in ritualistic fashion, Ophelia was stood up and dressed, Nervari's delicate touch threaded arms through sleeves and legs through stockings, underlying vests carrying protective plating and harmonic cascade weave pulled tight and adjusted to keep the weight from burdening the girl.
Nervari finished by hanging the now loaded gun from a concealed holster, positioning it within easy reach and then expertly hiding it and the magazines within the fully assembled uniform.
"What's my mission?" Ophelia asked, still half asleep.
"Your grade averages have been dropping." Amy bluntly retorted, "You keep that up and you'll get reassigned again."
Ophelia bunched up her face as she replied, "But they're so strict." which coaxed a barely suppressed snort from Nervari.
"But they are!" Ophelia continued, "You lose marks for EVERYTHING!"
Amy shuttered the ammunition case with a loud thump, "You're barely needed here, don't mess up." she stated.
Ophelia patted herself down, a wistful want escaped as a barely covered sigh as she raised her feet, one after the other; letting Nervari fit the shoes on firm.
With the preperations finalized, she was guided down the corridor and up the stairs, the eagle-eyed sentry staring down at Ophelia with vivid purple eyes from across the front desk, where she watched the girl depart.

Ophelia felt the morning chill on her face, southern winds fed from the poles granting each day a mild icy chill, the hedge was attended by a dozen girls all wearing the same uniform, clipping away at minute imperfections with aggressive cuts.
Thier eyes needled Ophelia all the way to the monorail station, the suspended concrete platform masked her from further scruitny.
She sat, she waited.
She checked her watch, then waited.
The morning song of the local birds sprung to life, Ophelia waited.
The monotony continued until she stood up, 'It'd be faster to walk.' she thought before the rattle of the high-speed vehicle churned down the rail, she looked down the line, it seemed to sit still before its sleek white bulk lept into the station and groaned to a rapid halt, two girls in the sisterhood dress and a dark-blue clad matron stepped off.
Ophelia buried her face behind her textbooks and trod onto the monorail, where she hid in the padded seat until the doors had closed and the monorail and started to rumble down the track once more.

She watched the intricate spires of the student council building as she hugged the books to her chest, distracted with thoughts about the contents within long enough that she barely caught herself before the doors slid closed at her desired destination.
Ophelia forced the door open, it slid shut behind her and caught the trim of her dress, which dragged her a few meters down the platform before she pulled it free, books scattered along the concrete.
She sighed, she wept, she kneeled down and slowly collected the increasingly worn textbooks.
Her heavy feet trudged down the stairs, the day turning to an idle blur as the sensation of failure hung in the back of her mind, emptily following the class lecture as she kept her head as low as possible...

The day ran long, pages upon pages of words she cared nothing for printed upon the elaborate trimmed paper of her notebook, the gilded leaf getting her side-eyes from the more frugal students.
Eventually, the ordeal ended.
She stood up, collected her things and began to walk... outside the study hall was a surge of people, she could feel how much she stood out in the dark black dress, sordid calls for 'maid service' carried through whispers as she trudged back to the platform.
Ophelia arrived as the subway slid away from the station, with a long defeated stare she flopped into the bench and waited.
The sun set, she waited.
The crickets chirped in the distance, she waited.
Eventually the headlight from the next monorail stirred her gaze, she sluggishly pushed herself to her feet and nearly flopped onto the train as it arrived, finding a seat before she collapsed into an anxious stupor, every failure swamped over at once, driven like needles into her fragile mind.

A single tear rolled down her cheek, she closed her eyes and started to weep into her arms.
Time escaped her, the rumbling of reality only returned after her eyes began to ache, the subway came to a halt, she stood listlessly and stomped off.
She was almost relieved when she noticed it wasn't her stop, but the looming threat of curfew coaxed her towards the campus building, she'd find somewhere to waste the night and hope that the matrons weren't angry in the morning...

Yumi hummed to herself as she swept the floor, the day's culture festival drew to a close and her classmates had started to gather in the room.
She watched with feigned interest, trapped in a pit of social anxiety as she kept to her chores, the classroom needed to be cleaned or penalties were in play.
Annoyed at the lack of action, she stepped closer to listen in upon the whispered stories, her eavesdropping was cut short when the lights died and the already overstimulated group screamed in unison.
Yumi clamped her hands over her ears, the light returned as another girl entered, looking far too pleased with her little prank, she received more than a few shouts of annoyance and balls of wadded up paper.
With a theatrical flair the mysterious girl recounted, "But it was a night like this when all they all vanished... a beast from beyond?... a ravaging lunatic?... or maybe the dreaded school spiders."
The group seemed unamused, small talk broke out before the air seemed to still... the room turned inwards on itself, wood snapped and metal bent.
They all fell, crashing down into the unseen dark...

Yumi landed with a wet thud, her white uniform stained with a dark patch, her extremities were chilled, her core was blistering hot.
It was decrepit, rotted, alien.
Cracked and broken tiles made up the floor, simple metal beds stood contorted in all directions, the mattresses dark and foul smelling.
The sudden shift overwhelmed Yumi, the sharp pains struck all at once, she breathed deep and shouted for help...
Her voice carried and echoed, but all that returned was a distant wet drip.
Yumi stood shakily upon pained and aching legs, something felt displaced in her left foot, it refused to move with the rest of her.
The metal door stood ajar, the external windows fed to a cavernous dark, the faint light of a distant candle flickered from the other side of the room.
Yumi limped to the door, her disjointed foot screamed with pain, the air grew thicker with every breath.
A shrill scream cut through the hall, sounding from both ends of the mouldy passage, but her eyes saw nothing but the sealed doors on either end.
Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.
The leak was far from comforting with its regularity, its source unseen, easily seeping from any of the contorted rusty pipes that seemed to pulse with a mechanical rhythm.
Shadowy figures crept beyond the distant door, opaque windows hid all but the sheer size of the thing.
Another shout shot from the depths, shrill but masculine, its sudden interruption sinking Yumi's heart beyond her feet...
Yumi looked back at the room, then down the hall once more, her mind settled upon the opposing end from where she saw the figment.
Slowly, steadily, gasping, dragging... the distance felt infinite, inescapable, but after so much pain she reached the door and gripped the handle firmly, pulling it open to stare face to face with a being composed entire of worms.
Yumi collapsed backwards, body stilled with a cold dread, she could only stare.

CRACK.

A deep blue explosion tore a wet chunk out of the creature, its black writhing mass crashing down upon the floor and scattering into an untold legion of tiny angry mouths.
Crunch.
Heavy steps crushed the biggest pile of meaty worms, styled shoes with a feminine grace with a billowing black dress, a strange dominating girl stood before Yumi with an expression teetering on frustration.
In her hand was a pistol, a hint of smoke emanating from its barrel, coaxing a confused; "You're not supposed to have guns!" from Yumi.
The girl replied, "And schools aren't supposed to have wormbeasts." as she reached down with her free hand, firmly pulling Yumi up and onto her shoulder.
Their eyes met, Yumi's heart skipped, the girl began to drag her down the mouldy corridor... the stench was oppressive, sickening, clumps of bloody meat covered the floor.
Yumi remained silent as they trudged forth, eventually the question crossed her lips; "...who are you?"
"...just a student..." the girl replied with an obvious lie.
"Do you..." Yumi stuttered out.
"Ophelia." the girl stated.
"Yumi."

They reached one end and found another as the rusted metal door swung open to reveal another ceaseless corridor, white tatters of uniform marred with blood covered a body torn beyond recognition, Yumi's gut acted first, her stomach violently emptied against the floor as Ophelia steadied her.
"Did that?..." Yumi coughed.
"Probably." Ophelia replied with a shrug, "I don't think we should be here."
"Where is... here?" Yumi asked through quivering teeth.
"An Irene damned hell." Was Ophelia's response, the conversation ended as Yumi was gently carried further.
Another door, another corridor, another corpse, bisected down the centre with a bloody mass where its legs once were, almost unidentifiable as human.
They trudged through the eldritch space, the corridors existing within each other, doors leading to more doors...
Yumi could feel Ophelia's grip slowly weaken as they went further and further, but before she could raise concern the next entrance led to the sight of a towering man bound in straps driving Helen through the floor with a sickening crack.
Ophelia raised her gun but the festering flesh golem charged them both, Yumi felt a solid shove as she crumpled back onto the floor as the pistol was sent scattering down the endless hall.
Yumi slowly scrambled up to see the two locked in a melee, the bestial figure brought brutal strength upon the diminutive Ophelia, heavy swing caught with an angled grab as a practiced strike brought up against its elbow.
A sickening crack, a guttural roar, its broken limb slammed into Ophelia and carved her against the wall, but with practiced hands she withdrew two sharp blades from her petticoat and pushed them deep into the giant's neck.
It relented with a howl, paining the ears as it began to crumple to the rotten wood floor.
Panting, blood trickling from her forehead, mouth and nose, Ophelia leaned down with a dull groan to pick up her pistol, the heavy gun's barrel laboriously brought down upon the thing.
The report carried harshly through the confined corridor, followed by a second as brilliant blue flashes cast from the end of the weapon, huge gaping holes left in the colossus as its motions stilled and it ceased to struggle.
Ophelia fired a final time, the round caving it's bound head into a void of flesh, black blood flowing in a perverse river.
The walls seemed to shimmer, shake, fold inwards then outwards... the two left suddenly sprawled in the carpeted mess of the Heavenly Host staff room.
Bloodied and bruised, the dark-dressed girl limped over to Yumi and offered a hand, which Yumi accepted with a quiet thanks.

It took the two considerable time to make their way from the main building, the cold night's air chilling Yumi to the core, she shivered deep as the effects of her injury began to mount.
Eventually they arrived at the hedge maze leading to the Solis Sa campus, a flurry of black-robed figures exploded from the shadows and quickly dragged the pair behind the huge wooden doors.
Amy stood with the lead Matron, Nervari quickly rushed to Ophelia's side, fettering her and Yumi down to the corridor as the matron simply shook her head.
Down concrete stairs and into Ophelia's room, laid out upon prepared mattresses as women in wispy white dresses bound and treated wounds, suturing and setting as required.
Yumi reached out, Ophelia took her hand, Yumi's heart jumped.

The Commonwealth of Arwindom

OOC:
IT'S BEEN A YEAR!

Exactly a year ago, on the 24th of October, I was sitting in a music class with nothing to do. I, being the diligent student I am, of course asked for more work went to google and searched up "nation simulators", with the first result that popped up being something called "NationStates". Without thinking, I dove head-on into the process of founding my Elysium on earth, which I conveniently named... What? That name's taken? Bugger. Hmm. How do I name it? I went to Google again for advise how to create a name, and some wise person caught my attention by saying that you should combine two words that highlight your nation's values. Just like that, Arwindom was born - a portmanteau of the words "army" and "wisdom" which I thought (and still think) represented my nation to the fullest. Hey, it did have a good ring to it!

And so it began. For a long year now, I have entered surges of activity when I worked tirelessly on shaping my nation and caring for its people followed by periods of stagnation when my mind was preoccupied with things more urgent (right now, duh:D). Arwindom became part of my life. It shaped me just as much as I shaped it. I cannot tell you how much I learned and developed as a person from the hours I spent researching bi-cameral parliaments and fission reactors. This place became my outlet of creativity, my world, so to speak, where I was lord and all my earthly problems were all but non-existent. I can definitely say that this country has taught me tenfold more than what I learned in this half-virtual schoolyear!

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for providing such a good environment for my country to develop and prosper. I want to thank you for your support and your help with forging certain aspects of my nation. Yes, several times I have admitted to openly hating this region and wanting to leave it, but so far I have calmed down all the times and as of right now I have no intention of leaving my home, Northern Utopia.

May our people live long and prosper.
May Northern Utopia thrive with peace inside and goodwill from the outside.
May we all be happy and enjoy the wonder that is NationStates!

Thank you all!

Togliatti, Tangiales Huari Community Center

La Chakraruna played softly over the speakers, as pillars of steam rose from the ceramic cups filled with tea. Quiet chatter filled the room, as anticipation grew for the meeting to begin. The hands of the clock on the wall moved ever-so-slowly, as though it was contemptuous of the Laborist cause. Elena Pachari, sitting down on her designated seat, sipped her tea and scrolled through the KosmaLink groupchat. The group name read "why is everyone in here queer" - she raised her eyebrows. Did someone change it last night? She couldn't recall ever having such a name as the name of the group; it was fitting, though. At least Nikolai's artwork remained as the icon.

Looking through the messages, she could see that the conversation had shifted from talking about mental health strategies to what skincare they used. Recalling her routine, she quickly typed out a basic summary of it. Q'aqcha, a trainee, if Elena recalled correctly, sent out ten images of what she used, complete with detailed instruction. Weijian thanked her for her advice, telling her that he would use it. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw the door open, as everyone rushed to take their seats. Turning off her phone, she sipped more of the hot tea. She turned her head, seeing Susanna, who acknowledged her presence with a nod.

Sitting down, Elena could see Susanna had begun to pass around copies of her proposal. She took the manuscript, reading the simple title - THE POPULAR DEMOCRATIC FRONT: A PROPOSAL. Flipping through the pages, it was essentially an electoral alliance between twenty organizations and parties. Surely it would be hell to hold together - there was more ideological diversity than cells in her body.

Susanna thought for a moment, before continuing on her explanation. "While we have massive differences between our personal ideologies-" Everyone nodded in agreement, "I do believe there are some things we can come together on. First, and the most pressing, is the fact we are currently in the worst suppression of the left since goddamned Celman." Again, not an issue, ever since the Tergazo, the National Security Service had been keeping tabs on everyone on the room - from open Laborists like Susanna to Elena herself, who had never professed her political views. "Further, my sources tell me that President French has been preparing to repeal the Ñacihua Act." Chatter filled the room - how did she get this information? What were her sources? "We must submit a presidential candidate. I already have outlined some possible presidential and vice candidates from all parties, but I am open to suggestions."

The air in the room was not filled with tension - far from it, but it felt strange. Confusion marked the faces of everyone present. There was so much that Susanna Zykova had just said and seemingly forgot to explain. "If I may ask, where did you get the information of French wanting to repeal the Ñacihua Act?" Kyun Jungwoo asked.

"I need you to keep this to yourself." Nods went around the room. "Xaviera Al-Sadd, one of my closest friends, works in Ateneo Palace. She has given me permission to say this, but I need you all to keep silent."

"Of course." Iwon Dul - Elena remembered him as the leader of the National Progressive Party - spoke up.

"Are there any more questions about the proposal? Again, I am open to any suggestions."

"I don't see anything about queer rights?" Elena looked up from the proposal.

"Isn't it on page 20?" Susanna raised an eyebrow, quickly flipping through the pages.

"How will we choose who will run for President on all of our behalfs?" Asiri asked, having read through the entire proposal.

"That is to be hashed out in further negotiations. Right now, this is merely to decide if a popular front on the basis of advancing the ideals of the people is possible. We cannot wait any longer for this. If you agree, please look at the back cover."

Elena turned to the very back of the cover, noticing a place for her signature printed on it. Finding her name, she took the pen on her left side and signed it. Asiri, looking at her, turned to the back of the page. Like Elena, she found a line for her signature; she too signed it. Everyone followed suit, and Susanna gave a smile.

"Thank you for attending. You can go now."

Elena breathed a sigh of relief; she had a bunch of fan events to get to. Picking up her purse, she took out her phone, opening it. She texted Nikolai, Citlali and Taeyong - she was going to make it, after all. As Elena walked to the car, she smiled; she was having a good day.

Darkstar cabal

A brilliant beam lanced through the air, striking the brown bottle as it soared through the air and scattered it to the winds.
"So how is Mark these days?" Ira inquired with a tilted head as she offered the sleek silver pistol to Titania's pale hand, "Oh you know what boys are like at that age." She replied, "All about the lions and war and things."
Ira laughed casually as she picked up the last bottle, "Didn't raise a little hellscamp? My own girls are quite a handful." came her reply as she hefted her arm back and threw the bottle on a long shallow arc.
Titania left her shot for the last second, a controlled pull of the trigger sent a tiny dart that screamed through the air, leaving a colourful trail of ionized air before it collided with the side of the full glass bottle and shattered it into a cloud that scintillated in the distant lightshow.
"You do the best with what you've got." Titania replied as she handed the pistol back to Ira, "He won't be back from school for another few hours."
Ira accepted the pistol with a pleasured sigh, "I thought about enrolling the girls once, but I feel they'd be far too unwilling to play nice." she mused aloud as she gazed off towards the mountain range.
The sky still surged with the light of distant detonations, wispy blue trails terminating in momentary brilliance, all joined when another shearing white beam crossed the horizon and vanished into the inky sky.
Ira broke the silence first, turning around as she heard steps echo up the stairwell; "Would you want to get back in time?" she asked curiously.
"No need." Titania responded, "He'll be having fun with his friends."
"Do you still see Antony these days?" Ira continued.
Titania shook her head as she replied bluntly, "Too obsessed with his job, probably to try and lord it over me."
"Any plans?" Ira asked with a raised eyebrow.
The question provoked a hearty laugh "Heavens no, I'm done, he can turn up for Mark but... I doubt he will."
"Leaving Prefactus?"
"If the world is still here in a month... either the Nordics or Grenward peninsula." Titania rambled before she turned to face Ira, "Do you really think this is... it?"
Ira brushed a hair from her eyes, a soft defeated smile crossed her lips, "Does it matter what I think?"
Titania shrugged as she started to reply, "Well I would..." before a nervous man in a suit coughed to draw the women's attention.
"E... excuse me but there... have been..." he stammered before Ira planted her palm in his face to push him away, "Anything you've really wanted to do dear?" she asked Titania as she began to walk towards the helipad as the sleek silver vessel descended from the clouds.
"Always wanted to visit the poles, can't really explain why..." Titania replied, gazing up at the ship with an amused smile, "Along with a few other places."
The silver craft settled in place, crimson seats extending from beneath its bulk; "I'll have to wrap some business in Meridia before it all ends." Ira stated as she lazed back in the forward seat.
Titania took to the rearward seat, glancing up at the dark interior as the lights flowed onwards, the chairs receding within as a comfortably warm air flowed over her.
"Hell of a ride you've got..." she stated with a grin.

The White Witch slowly drifted off the Quindecium's roof before accelerating off over the coastline, its sonic boom crashed through the city, glass shattered and buildings shuddered, leaving the population increasingly confused.

The shuttle shuddered as it took off from the carrier, Jon the third could still hear Halifax's warnings ringing through his ears. This... cloud was far too much a threat to not investigate. After the aliens and Vladimir, the ex High Thane had grown quite tired of these galactic nuisances. But, he also knew that he was expendable, a half blind cripple sent to save his people. It was almost poetic really. As the cloud of darkness neared, so too did the arcs of great fire in the sky. Jezabelstien. Firing wildly at the approaching clouds. This show of force made his mind wander. Made him wonder how such a blunt force was considered a threat if they did such. Trivial things to think of. An easy solution to this hammer against anvil doctrine was easy, pulling up to enter the cloud in a higher up zone. One which the cannons hadn't reached. As the darkness enveloped the would be hero and his craft, he moved his head down and began to pray as his mother had taught him.

"Mother, father. Guide me. For I do not know if what I do is right. All I know, is that I must. Brogi, hear my call. I go to my death, freedom at the cost of life, but should I fall I got to Skarnr. Where I shall rest as you have. Bury in the swamps of my homeland, where Ragnar ran. Lay me in the bogs, where the spirits and crocodiles roam. Send me to the mountains, where the goats skitter and the rocks fall. Send me to the ocean, where thine sister rule. Send me to the earth, so I may watch all of creation. Send me to Skarnr, where I may rest."
