We normally do. Someone has been letting the dead stack up like cord-wood beyond our borders. I have ordered the royal guard and field army to dispatch the walking corpses with fire and by severing the head from the body. It works with other ills and maladies

I have not seen the Queen since she sequestered herself in her chambers but I am assured by staff healers that she has come to no harm. We will discover the rest of the tournament party's whereabouts in due time, and that time is not the present. To arms and to glory!

*Cleaves an undead wight in twain, before stopping briefly to take notice of King Arthas Hargreaves who has just arrived to the battle.*

By Wotan's beard, thou art indeed a sight for sore eyes! It has been a most tiring onslaught, but for us the end is at last nearly in sight.

*Bloodied and battle-wearied, Sergius Adolfus drops to the ground and beckons for two horns of mead to be brought to him. The first, he pours upon the ground to honour the fallen. Thereafter, the second he downs in utmost thirst and relief.*

It is over; it is done. Victory is ours this day, but not without cost. We hail the honoured dead. All corpses shall be burned in order to ward off further spread of this vile sickness, from which our Realm is cleansed at last.

Alas one of our brethren, King Godfrey, and a goodly portion of his men fell in battle. The King was unable to recover from his wounds though our healers did their utmost to aid, and he was burned on a pyre last night. His men were offered mead and lodging before they departed this day for their own realm.

High King Skjor Warbear of Hjallholm has gone to Valhalla. It seems a wild boar had at him whilst hunting and we drink a toast to his memory as a peaceful and proud Norseman. Alas we have also seen barbarians on the outskirts of the Kingdom; bold enough to venture near enough to be recognized tho thoroughly discouraged at the sight of our high stone walls.

THE INAUGURAL GAMES

West Saxon is one of the four main dialects of the English (Ænglisc) language in written and spoken forms. The other dialects are Mercian, Northumbrian and Kentish, however we will make use of the common tongue in these settings. The Northmen Hjallholm and Hjofsland shall be added to the festivities this Sunday, and I offer you both the hospitality of the Kingdom, in peace for the duration. This completes the list of those entered into the games for this Sunday.

Each will be provided a horse from our stables to demonstrate skills in horsemanship. We will score your men on handling, striking a straw dummy with thrown axe, and with sword. Each will have three runs at the target with running tallies and the best score taking the prize.

Each participant will take to the field in the following order:

Hjallholm
English England
Vult deus
AustroGoth
Die Goetterdaemmerung
Kingdom of the West Saxons

I know the men of the North are quite familiar with horsemanship and skills in combat and as last arriving they will be up first. Games begin at minor update Sunday and continue until all participants have been fielded. The Horse section should take two hours

Henry III of House Plantagenet is The King of England and personally rules the Kingdom. Henry believes that kings should rule England in a dignified manner, surrounded by ceremony and ecclesiastical ritual. He thinks that his predecessors had allowed the status of the Crown to decline, and seeks to correct this during his reign.

The events of the civil war in Henry's youth deeply affected the King, and he adopted Edward the Confessor as his patron saint, hoping to emulate the way in which the Anglo-Saxon King had brought peace to England and reunited his people in order and harmony

During Henry's early years the Jewish community had flourished and became one of the most prosperous in Europe. This was primarily the result of the stance taken by the regency government, which took a range of measures to protect the Jews and encourage lending. This was driven by financial self-interest, as they stood to profit considerably from a strong Jewish community in England. Their policy ran counter to the instructions being sent from the Pope, who had laid out strong measures in 1215 at the

The fourth Lateran Council, the 12th ecumenical council (1215), generally considered the greatest council before Trent, was years in preparation. Pope Innocent III desired the widest possible representation, and more than 400 bishops, 800 abbots and priors, envoys of many European kings, and personal representatives of Frederick II (confirmed by the council as emperor of the West) took part. The purpose of the council was twofold: reform of the church and the recovery of the Holy Land. Many of the conciliar decrees touching on church reform and organization remained in effect for centuries. The council ruled on such vexing problems as the use of church property, tithes, judicial procedures, and patriarchal precedence. It ordered Jews and Saracens to wear distinctive dress and obliged Catholics to make a yearly confession and to receive Communion during the Easter season. The council sanctioned the word transubstantiation as a correct expression of eucharistic doctrine. The teachings of the Cathari and Waldenses were condemned. Innocent also ordered a four-year truce among Christian rulers so that a new crusade could be launched.

William Marshal continued with his policy despite complaints from the Church.

In 1239 Henry introduced different policies, – destroying the ability of the Jewish community to lend money commercially. Henry passed the Statute of Jewry in 1253, which attempted to stop the construction of Judaic synagogues and enforce existing Christian Church pronouncements.

In 1258, Henry faced a revolt among the English barons. Anger had grown about the way the King's officials were raising funds, the influence of the Poitevins at court and his unpopular Sicilian policy, resentment of abuse of purchased Jewish loans, even the English Church had grievances over its treatment by the King. The Welsh were still in open revolt, and now allied themselves with Scotland....
