Sakamai listened in through the car's rumbling and the lean's press. Majun's eyelids were squinted in attention, locked at the screen as though Hoshi's finger wasn't there, fiddling with it. There was a clear reflection of Sesato's stern image on the bright Wikipedia page gleaming in the slit of his eyes.
Sakamai silently calculated while holding his peaked cap against the inertia, leaning back to adjust to the climb. 'What year was it again... 2057...' After mumbling some simple math, he figured that it was about the year 189 when the emperor ascended to his throne. Sakamai was lucky to learn the Gregorian system in his elite education, a system of dating that was almost extinct in Fankuwo, and to be surrounded by it in a foreign land would surely be a very alienating experience. His ears were sharply listening, his mind registering and effortlessly translating. Ministers, policymakers... Democracy? His lips twitched when he realised that his vocabulary was incomplete. So far, he understood every word that came pouring out of his mouth, a testament to the validity of his education; this one word, however, was received as a noise. But it only came to pass.
'Oh?' The fact that this Sesato made public appearances, even vocal, astonished him; it was an audible and visible reaction, his head flinching to the side. 'Our Emperor would never make public appearances... We've never even heard him speak', said Sakamai, his head leaning to the opposite side as he processed the stark contrast between these two emperors. 'Our Emperor always works in the Imperial Palace, forbidden grounds. He does have his ministering governors who are also in the palace, but they can never enter the throne room. Only the vice of heaven and... Someone like Emperor Sesato can.' Telling this story, the silent doubt emerged again in his heart, the doubt that the Emperor might've never existed. It was a common crime of thought that the Emperor would easily tolerate and forgive, but to Sakamai, how dare he thought those things! His irritation was shown again through the twitch of his lips.
Majun was still fixated on the phone. Examining all the text and, in the end, seeing more text, the captain then realised that it was a book! His amazement was shared by his raised brows. Behold, a book, one that didn't have pages but a long row of text that would summon from the emptiness below the phone, intermingled with images and formatting. The sheer complexity of this technology was conjuring up dozens of questions in his head, not even one he could ask without Sakamai's help. Turning to Sakamai, he found him conversing busily with Kyuin and everyone else, still a foreign babble to his ears. The language barrier really isolated him, the light at the other side that all he would get was a shadow. At the same time, the subtle lights of the inn were pouring through the car's windows, marking their arrival. He turned back to Hoshi, joining his palms and gestured a slight bow. 'Kuron Buwanan', thank you, or more literally, receive gratitude. Of course, that wasn't going to be the end of his excitement with the item. He wondered if he could get one or more to bring back home.
Sakamai grabbed the briefcase in one hand and opened the door with the other, the cold air of the night blanketing him as it did when he first left the Segarak. But what an inn. His feet landed on the pavement one by one, followed by Majun, a minor cloud of dust rising no further than the sole of their shoes. As usual, when encountering a new location, they both looked around and, sometimes, their torso would be carried along by their turning head.
The foreign atmosphere was quick to encapsulate Sakamai, the offerings of the continental climate of Hanai Saikang seeping through his uniform. It made him miss home, Fankuwo's unforgiving heat on a cloudless day, the sun's rays akin to hot-tipped needles teasing the skin until a rare, cold breeze would take it all away. Now, he was here where the night felt like that breeze but unending... Realising the cold, he regretted not leaving the Segarak double-coated and gloved. He turned to Majun and there he was, his hands grasping his upper arms as the cold was getting to them. As time passed, it felt like the cold here was becoming more and more of a black and white contrast to Fankuwo's weather despite the temperature persisting in its degree. 'How are you doing?' Sakamai asked.
'Cold.'
The two conscripts were never tested like the Fan special forces to withstand such coldness. They were a defence force, never intended to go beyond the archipelago's tropical climate. Sakamai's conclusion: a condition called wind infiltration. Take an empty stomach, combine it with cold weather in the night.
'Wind infiltration. We should get something to eat', he muttered, Majun nodding in agreement. Sakamai turned to Kyuin and the other men. 'I know it's not courteous for us to ask this, but can we get something to eat?' Add to that, a slight gesture at Majun, as if he was putting the blame of discourtesy on the cold, wind-infiltrated captain. 'Wind infiltration... Katse wa... Shintou...' Sakamai attempted to continue with wind infiltration, realising that the Nipponese translation for that easily-spoken word in Fankuwoan did not exist. 'Er, cold!'
At 11:00 today West Kimetsun was completely overrun by British Bharat’s and Fortisbellator’s forces. They declared victory in the last western-most city of Kimetsun. We’re asking the rest of YOU three to push through the rest. From our observations, we commend you for making significant progress. What we need is just one little more push, and then we’ll take the capital city, ending the war.
The Matsilian flag. A plain 1:2 dark red with a round hole at its centre. The question: What's the hole about and why? It was a question asked by Emperor Sesato of Hanguk-Nippon, one that has remained unanswered for nearly half a year...
I've been checking my old Matsilian posts to see if I would cringe. The opposite happened and I learnt valuable lessons that helped me to sharpen my latest Fankuwoan post a little bit.
Now, on to the flag.
Matsilia is a religious country as its national constitution states. It's not an Islamic state nor a Buddhist state nor a Christian state, but a religious state. Matsilia recognises only a collection of organised religion which are Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, and Confucianism. Citizens of Matsilia must be one of these religions. They cannot be atheist or be of another religion outside of those recognised religions. A side fact: Matsilians who are making a driving license must first fulfil 'physical, mental, and spiritual requirements'.
The flag of Matsilia depicts this state-mandated religiousness through the hole in its centre. The flag's fabric represents the nation of Matsilia, the red referring to the people of Matsilia. The hole at the centre when the flag is flown up high would be filled with the sky. That represents the purpose of the people's lives: to reach heaven. It also signifies how the state operates according to religious norms.
With the unexpected aggression from Gogrea fhsrezz, the president of the Rijykiroug has advised the Rijk Defense System be once again booted up in case of futile attacks from the mentioned enemy. This was an authorized message from the president:
"Good morning, council and representatives, it is of my attention that the Gogrea fhsrezzese have showed unnecessary and extensive aggression towards our nation and others. At this time, please issue Code A-19. I repeat, issue Code A-19. This will be our first phase of a defense against a futile invasion from the enemy..."
*As our ally, Uvalor, has been attacked, we would offer them supplies and we would join the war on the side of Uvalor, we would deploy our armed forces, we would send 35k soldiers and 1k paratroopers, alongside that we would send 500 tanks, both new and older allthough the old tank isn't that old, to finish this war quickly, as the enemy was weaker we would push into their lines with the armoured support, we would bomb their military bases and we would also bomb their factories, we would drop bombs on enemy soldiers and set up mines in their lands, we would start rationing food so we don't have a famine later (OOC note: The famine would only reaslisticly happen with godmoding or REALLY bad harvests, imposibly bad harvests.), we would get ready more soldiers if it is needed and we would send a aircraft carrier to carry 20 fighter jets and 10 interceptors, 10 planes that look like civilian planes.*
This invasion is taking a little longer than usual. Evinea, New Plant, Somurias, it would be helpful if you guys could clear up the east, and you and I clear up the north, Somurias. Then we can end it by crushing the capital city.
And, Uvalor, you have 1.5 billion dollars as well as 6 hypersonic missiles and 4 nuclear missiles under your command.
From Serju Radullun's public statement on the actions of Gogrea fhsrezz: "The nation that is Gogrea Fhsrezz has come to be seen as a warmongering warrior state with the intent of nothing else but world domination. However, as a gesture of enraged reaction, we will be conducting a total embargo on the aforementioned warrior state."
The Bakroyatian higher-ups and Radullun decided to send 20 medium transport planes, carrying at a total of no greater than 6 tonnes of ODJURDA-5 chemical gasses. Given that one of their justifications were to show the strongmen of Gogrea fhsrezz a horror of chemical warfare. Air defense systems across the archipelago are now on high alert and rapid preparedness on a reason stated differently then what was actually given.
The 20 planes were modified to conduct chemical bombings and are given briefings to strike on minor towns of Gogrea Fhsrezz. They were also given numerous countermeasures.
06/08/22 | War Roleplay | Operation Blume As per military reports, the Evinean Armed Forces have announced Operation Blume. With the 3rd, 7th, and 18th Ground Force Regiments (Army), and the 6th Hawk Strike Regiment (Air Force), they will lead this operation. The goal of the mission is to invade and capture the capital of Kimetsun, in accordance with the alliance led by Fortisbellator. The operation has been green-lighted and has started it's movement. If any extra assistance is needed, another air force and army division will be sent.
*As our ally, Fortisbellator, needs aid, we would build up military forces in their lands on the eastern front, once 50k solder, 90 tanks and 10 missile trucks have been rallied, we would join the war, we would start the bombardment of enemy military bases and factories, alongside that we would ration food in our nation so we have more for the war effort, ships from Cornwall (OOC Note: And i forgot about Cornwall) would start nearing enemy land, as a aircraft carrier approaches it would release 5 New Plantian Fighter jets to disable enemy jets, the eastern front would advance with the continued missile bombardment of military bases and enemy positions, our armoured support / tanks would push through enemy lines, we would only gain a few meters of land but the concequences are that their army is weaker.*
With Sornian Generals meeting to talk about the war one last time, it was decided that use of biological weapons will be vital. On the 8th of June the Sornians started to dig trenches on the Frontline with Kimetsun, and by the 10th of June they were done. The Sornians put on Protective equipment and began shelling Kimetsun's troops (Not Civilians) with tear agents. The Sornians also use nonlethal agents in very little ammounts. With the use of these substances Kimetsun's troops would be Incapacitated, this would allow the Sornian troops to move right theough and capture enemy soldiers with ease. This would also affect their tank crews, as their tanks weren't sealed from biological nor chemical weapons like the Sornian ones due to sheer numbers, Kimetsun's tanks where abandoned while Kimetsun's affected tank crews panicked. With this, the Sornians also used mass-bombardment, they deployed Rockets from their MRLSs and bombs from their aircrafts, all while the chemical shelling was going on.
These are substances that are not intended to kill or injure. They are often referred to as Riot Control Agents (RCAs) and may be used by civilian police forces against criminals and rioters, or in the military for training purposes.
These are substances that produce debilitating effects with limited probability of permanent injury or loss of life. The casualty effects typically last over 24 hours, and though medical evacuation and isolation is recommended, it is not required for complete recovery. These, together with harassing agents, are sometimes called nonlethal agents.
Using these chemicals and tactics, they pushed very far into enemy lines, while deserters join them to fight against their own government. After this Their Capital city was surrounded, and a siege begun... (OOC: ik i RPed the taking of their capital in my last post but peeps seem to have ignored it, i also want to seem more realistic.)
* Tanks lost to other tanks: 16 * Tanks lost to ATGMs: 48 * Tanks lost to Drones: 9 * Tanks lost to Rocket Bombardment: 79 * Tanks lost to helicopters: 31 * Tanks Abandoned: 51 * MLRSs Lost: 0 * Troops dead: 0.19 million.
Sorna:
* Tanks lost to other tanks: 5 * Tanks lost to ATGMs: 7 * Tanks lost to Drones: 0 * Tanks lost to Rocket Bombardment: 0 * Tanks lost to helicopters: 7 * Tanks Abandoned: 2 * MLRSs Lost: 1 * Troops dead: 0.26 million.
As Kimetsun gets demolished in the war, a possible nuclear warhead is detected. This is suspected to be a last ditch attempt by Kimetsun, in turn Sornian Anti-missile systems are deployed. The anti-missile systems are able to destroy the 3 nuclear missiles headed for Sorna, but Sornian officials would only receive news of this 20 minutes of destruction while the public receives the news of the destruction of the missiles 65 minues after destruction.
The broadcast:
"A nuclear strike is possible. The targets have been assessed as all C.R.S cities carry a significant risk of damage.
Threat level: Advice
Look for shelter in bunkers built by the government."
Sorry guys that it has been so long I took a little break from the game and now I am back so this will sadly be the last event but to make up for this I will be starting the Summer Olympics tomorrow. Anyway here is Curling.
