I think my original flag was the actual state flag of Kansas and then I modified that to become what I have now, based on my own national symbolism.
Actually, the golden circle is meant to represent whatever kind of breakfast you want. It’s an inclusivity thing, like whether you like waffles or pancakes or cereal, we’re still all Kansans. Or something like that. I’m bad at metaphors lol

Listen, Kansas's flag is fine. It's literally just Japan's (or Bangladesh's) but square and blue/yellow instead of white/red. I actually follow vexillology circles, and her flag is fairly good.
It's simple, but not super simple, like Lybia's flag until 2011, and not incredibly complicated like the Turkmeni flag. Its colors don't clash (like south africa's although to be fair I think South Africa's works because it has meaning within Nelson Mandela's Rainbow Nation), and it's not like Kansas is saying "my flag is the best flag. bow before my supreme power of vexillology and flag making."
Second, you have absolutely zero notion to shame people for their flag. Personally, I think your flag looks like a crappy background image for a menu from a knockoff Command and Conquer game, but I wouldn't say that normally because mine is literally Canada but blue instead of red and a very poorly shaded badger instead of a maple leaf. That's a jerk move, man.
As well as this, any petition like what you're describing would most likely go through the polls. To paraphrase Emperor Palpatine, "I am the poll." I'm more interested in making a poll called "Which USSR Premier would you ship with Herbert Hoover?" Than a poll telling Kansas to feel bad about her flag. (and I am very uninterested in shipping Herbert Hoover with Soviet leaders)
Not only this, but some people just aren't particularly interested in Flag-making. BD's flag is just the flag of Eritrea. A lot of people have the Australian Aboriginal flag. Hell, if I didn't make my flag I probably would have the Bosnian flag (underrated flag).
I partly agree with the Cape of Good Hope flag, but I'm not going to really complain that much about it. We're a laid back place. It's a laid back flag. It makes sense. I don't like that the subway I'm working at has this weird parallelogram pattern on the wall now, but I'm not going to really do anything about it.
also going to save my current flag because I'm making a Kansas-style flag, because Oateria's true military weapon is spite.

As we said, If Kansas wants that flag, let them have it. Just because you don’t like someone’s flag does not mean no one likes the flag.
Infact, dare I said, my flag is just Kansas with a line through the middle, switches color schemes, 2 dots and a red crescent. Ok, perhaps me and Kansas flags are not the same but you get the point

I wouldn't mind a redesign. In my opinion, it doesn't really fit with the rest of the vibe of the cape.
I always thought your flag was cool cause of the shape of it and its simplicity, don't ever change it!! (or change it if you want, it's your country haha)

You just sounded (to me at least, maybe others as well) like you were saying "hey kansas has a crummy flag. she should change it. now." and not so much so "Kansas has kind of a weird flag IMO, like not sure if others agree but maybe we can talk about it" which I believe you were going for.

I'm a bit reluctant to, but I won't stand in the way of it. Lawithon made the flag, I like it, and I don't think it needs to be changed. But thats my opinion.
my opinion is that if we do have a new one, we should have the same background color, with a (apple but can be debated) pie in a tin, and the tin reading "CAPE OF GOOD HOPE".

I think August did, actually He said it was a placeholder though, and that we could go ahead and change it if we wanted.
Ooh, I like this And if there's a lattice on the top of the pie you probably can't really tell what's inside it anyway, so flavor matters less (though banana cream is the Cape OG and I would personally nominate that, if we're doing flavors)
