Gangs, Feds and Helicopters|| November 5th, 1973, Tacoma || Organized Crime RP

It was a crisp Oregon morning, one where the sun grew its orange upon the night blue more and more. The men had been called to their defenses so it wasn’t safe to say it was ordinary, it was anything but.

And then came the power of cocaine, the one that hanged over every west coast city, and the gangs that prowled it. These gangs had been told and thus did, unleashing their gunfire upon this cities ports. Now the fight was on.

In every known center of Tacoma Trade Cartel activity, there was hits and blood brought from bullet. Soon enough the resources of the trade cartel was drawn thin, and unable to use their aerial firepower upon the gangs that faded in and out of the urban neighborhoods, their ports fell, establishing new trade cartels to replace the older Tacoma chapters.

Tacoma itself was becoming a grave of men as it was not only the home of the splinter group but also of some of the nation’s most violent gangs. It was in this city and a few other strongholds that the assaults were initially resisted with success, but support from Matamoros with heavy weapons soon cost the Tacoma Cartel its advantage in firepower.

And as Tacoma burned, another front was being opened, that of the feds. Beginning within the week of the beginning of the war, evidence of the group’s connections and actions that were successfully seized, found their way onto the desks of FBI, courtesy of anonymous sources.

Measures were also taken at home, with any location suspected of being compromised being left and destroyed, while the friends in the radar room watched closely, same for the security on the ground.

However all this was costing money, and with the combined shipping power of the Cartel increased in recent years, an offer was made to the Cali Cartel for an increase in the goods being sent over, one to which they happily obliged.

Now Abrego was smuggling on a truly National scale across hundreds of miles of border, within seemingly nothing to stop his ascent.

Yeah cause... I've been searching for a good 60s or early 70s era fighter craft that could be reasonably assumed to be at Amarillo AFB during the time I captured it, but the only good choices I could find were either Trainers, Aggressors, or are being designed but weren't offically introduced until 76-78, when Amarillo AFB had been converted to a civilian airport. So my only choice for a dedicated fighter aircraft are WW2 era propeller planes, a Northtrop F-5 training plane, or I have to get anachronistic and start using frigging F-16s. The only things I have reasonably have are C-12 Huron transports, Hueys, and maybe a few Cobras. But the original AC-130s did exist during this time, and I just wanna be able to brrrrrrrt people.

I should probably get some helicopters and planes of my own soon, for now I got unlimited ground-based power though.

Seeing the Mexican Cartelos as a major threat in the area, both to their own interests, and the rash decision making of the head command, the Soviets vow to return this time, but with more guns. Oh, and something else too.

Anatoliov Krushvep stood in front of the small cargo ship arriving at a discreet British Columbian port as the cargo door dropped down slowly. He could see a few tarps at first, but when the crew disembarked and pulled off the tarps, he could see something else.
