Does anyone else think it's ironic for a political party to campaign for giving power to the tsar? Seems very undemocratic to me

You know, I'm too sick to respond to this.

But know that to me, the Tsar is above the political shenanigans and represents all of Callista that we strive to be inspired by.

Two pawns in the middle move two forward.
Pawns next to them move one forward for pawn wall.
Bishops right behind two middle pawns so they can move out the corners.
Knights behind bishops so they can jump out to attack.
Castle the king.

Assuming that your enemy allows you to set it up, my friend said that it'll basically set you up for the mid-game.

Hmm... I don't really condone this set-up. I don't like playing pawn to c3 and f3/pawn to c6 and f6... It weakens some of your squares too much, and it prevents your knights from going to those squares which are the knights' most active and usually best squares. Here's another try:

Move two of the center pawns forward (to d4 and e4/to d5 and e5)
Move the knights to f3 and c3/to f6 and c6
Move the bishops to c4 and e3/c5 and e6
Castle your king.

That should be safer, and better...

RP: Tragedy at LaraLeague
In the lead up to the big final between Hetland and Mistletoe Coast, tragedy has struck. Umpire Jakob Bern of Hagston, has been rushed to hospital with a suspected poisoning. Mr. Bern was selected as part of the on-field umpiring team set to adjuducate the final.

Police are still investigating the matter, but they believe the poisoning was no accident, targeted specifically to the umpire.
The motive is believed to be related to the contriversial call in the Down Unian vs Hetland match, in which Bern awarded a penalty to Hetland, which carried them through to the semi-final. The call is still strongly disputed amongst fans, players, and even League officials, yet it was never formally acknowledged or repealed.

LaraLeague is now questioning the integrity of the game, and if it should indeed go ahead at the scheduled time. The EAF, the governing body of the tournament, has made the decision to postpone the final while an investigation is made. The head of the EAF, Sakhruni Tumurek, has said that the game will not go ahead until the perpetrator is caught and all players, coaches, referees and everyone involved in the competition is completely safe. Tumurek also said that we should expect the final to take place about a week from now, if all things go to plan. All at the EAF express their sympathy with the family and friends of Mr Bern and wishes him a fast recovery.
