Ferneus, This is a continuation of that thing we did a while ago regarding the golden madness The apparition returns to the vampires, holding an old tome, and says "I have found documents on what may just be what you seek. It was known as the Affliction of Hykonthus, named for the Illuminated who first came in contact with it. All we know about it currently is that it is a curse, or perhaps a blessing from an unknown deity. Once we found that out, investigations were drooped, as appeasing divines is not an efficient nor particularly rewarding way of accruing magical ability. I wish there was more to tell you, but alas, there is not." He then teleports the group back to where they came from, hand one of them the scroll and dissapears.
They can. They don't, however, because they are run by the corporatist, right-wing asshats who are trying to make California and other left-wing places unintelligent so they can say "look its the state's fault."
In the talks Fadlan and Sergey talk about the history of the two states, the rise of ancient Persia, Vladimir's conquests of Keivan lands, and finally the Russo Qajar war though this was kept short due two it being a point of contention. finally Fadlan asks for a few things the most radical of which is to give back the lands lost in the first Russo Qajar war, in doing so Russia would get Persian Oil for less then 1/3 the price, as well as half the income made from those areas (if they were to be given back) would go back to Russia. and then Fadlan knowing this was a very radical agreement makes another deal. The Russians would get Persian oil but the price would be 25% off. Persia would also not declare war on Russia for five years. But in return they would give weapons, troops, and technology so that Persia would be able to recreate those troops from scratch.
