The Beacon Spire of Endolantron

Huh. Normally, I get a warning email when these nations are at risk of destruction. I guess I missed it this time. Looks like I have 12 nations (including this one) to restore.

The Allied States of Xalon

Okay. Twelve nations of mine restored. (And apparently one belonging to someone else as well? Welcome!) I better keep a more watchful eye toward the end of this month so I don't have to do all that again.

President

Rykkland | The Kodiak Republic -

RYKKLAND
for PRESIDENT
United Regions Alliance
Experience - Commitment - Vision

Overview

I have been in NationStates since 2006. At one time I was voted 17th most influential player in GamePlay (2009). I have a proven background in community management and administration and I have a history in both IC and OoC policy development and executive leadership. My main community (the Kodiak Republic) has a reputation as a neutral power and one willing to experiment with new systems. I want to make a clear statement that it is my objective to work with purposeful intent to build a better URA today.

Vision and Priorities

Better Community Management
To establish an environment where the alliance feels well managed, driving confidence and involvement from member citizens and member regions.

Discord Server Overhaul
Review and rebuild the Discord-based communication server to minimise clutter, ensure intuitive access to information, and eliminate unused channels.

Encourage & Reward Interaction
Addressing the low volume of server interactions by designing mechanisms to incentivise active participation. The URA does not need to be a centralised community but it should be a common-sense resource for member regions' leadership as well as an approachable space for participation in our central goals: World Assembly influence, cooperation, and collaboration.

Review Executive Policy & Strengthen the Alliance
As part of the larger cabinet committee, failing or rotting systems should be reviewed during the more active period while it is here. Alliance systems should be built so that they do not fall apart during the low activity periods. This may include being open to changing the nature of the executive committee.

Outreach & Foreign Affairs
The foreign policy of the alliance must be more obvious and properly tiered by priority. We must work to maintain established relationships, present a more interactive tone with larger delegates, and above all else facilitate positive relationships within the alliance's member states. We must be brave as well as honest in our dealings internally and externally.

In-Character and Inter-Community Integrations
We should provide sound opportunities for the IC governments of our alliance members to interact. The variability of themes within the alliance makes direct influence between member states difficult and our alliance is well placed to act as a black-box to translate and telegraph interactions between communities which may otherwise be incapable of interacting.

Vice President

TESDAI/AA Defense Officer/Lands End

Director of Foreign Affairs

Bolgatostand | Holy Utopian Empire -

Vote for Bolgatostand
Who am I?
I am Bolgatostand and As an ambitious individual, I, Bolgatostand, have always taken opportunities when they arise. When I saw the opportunity to run for Director of Foreign Affairs of the URA, I knew I had to take that risk. This role is a serious one, and I acknowledge the importance of it. But I am here because it is my passion. I love working and getting involved, which is why I am the Minister of Foreign Affairs of HUE - a two-month-old region and a URA member region. With me in control, the diplomacy of HUE quickly grew. And I am confident that the URA can succeed if given the same opportunity.

I plan to get thoroughly involved in this alliance, but this is only the first step towards getting higher and higher in the ranks. One day, I dream of seeing the URA get commended and recognized for all the hard work and dedication of its members. I am running for the position of Director of Foreign Affairs because I take pride in my work, and I am confident in my abilities. I am a strong leader, and I know that my skills will be invaluable in this role. With me in office, the URA will continue to expand its diplomacy and make a significant impact in the world of regional diplomacy. So, please consider voting for me, Bolgatostand, as the next Director of Foreign Affairs of the URA, and trust that I will put all my effort towards the betterment of this alliance and all its members.

please consider voting for me and goodluck to the other candidates. :)

This week’s Trek Tuesday poll is one of our most exciting yet. Sulu was a clear winner from our old Trek pilots, but Ortegas won by unanimous consent last week. Who should take the helm?

The Democratic States of United Region Alliance

The URA will be joining our friends in KHAN this year. I invite your region as a member of URA to join with your nations as well. This is not mandatory but would love to have you help us on N-day if you would. You can join the KHAN faction here: page=faction/fid=30 If interested in joining the discord use can also join that here: https://discord.gg/ueup7BPT If you have any questions feel free to telegram Ellenburg or DM them on discord.

The Detachment of Redshirts

Thanks to everyone who participated in last week’s instrumental poll deciding on our Enterprise’s Chief Flight Control Officer. I hope everyone, even Sulu’s supporter’s, can be satisfied that we have and excellent pilot at the helm with Ortegas. I had a hard time choosing between the two myself.

We have another interesting choice for this week's Trek Tuesday. In the 23rd century Navigations Officers were frequently used to chart the course and enact other duties. Let's select one to assist our pilot.

The church of starry wisdom

Its been a great six years friends, and we'd like to thank you for being a good embassy mate, and hopefully you continue on. In a few days, The Forgotten Lands will be closing its doors after nine years. The idea of our bastion becoming a puppet storage holds no appeal, and it is with that, we are saying good bye to NS and to all our friends new and old.

Cheers and thanks for all the fish.

Likewise! And things have been slow. My ideas on the map are simplifying to where we each have our own bubble or whatever, evenly sized from the outside but any size we want on the inside. What I'll really need to know is how they would best be connected together.

The Academy of Anon Zytose

My questions for each nation here:
Which other nations would you most prefer to have as friendly neighbors?
Which other nations would you most prefer not to have as neighbors?
I recommend selecting up to 5 for each.

Our final(?) Trek Tuesday showdown for the Chief Communications Officer position on our Enterprise. Which do you choose?

Given that we have had increasingly close results, for the final three positions, #1, Doctor & Captain, we will run a series of 1v1 votes starting next week.
