Whew, yeah, that took me a while reading through. :) I read a lot of game manuals so I am usually pretty quick reading through them.

Color me impressed. :)

I read very few game manuals. I find it pretty fun to try and figure out how the gam works (or how it doesn’t.)

Lol, well there is a certain logic in most games that makes it easier to learn new the more of them you read.

However, you really need to play it a few times to actually learn it, and probably more then so to actually master it. You can learn a kid to play chess in 45 minutes but mastering chess takes a lifetime.

I might run a Blue max game here if there are interest for it as a competition if you guys like war games. Since it is turned based it is rather simple to run in a forum setting and it doesn't actually have a max player number (but it can get a bit chaotic with more then 16 players. The rules are very simple to learn but understanding of WW1 planes (yeah, that Camel is turning right, they always turn right) helps.

Lol, that sounds about right for me. Of course I'll still read through everything at lease once, just so that I have an understanding of how things are supposed to work in general, so that it is easy to tell if the game doesn't work or if it's just poor rule understanding.

Some companies can't write a good manual if their life depends on it, hurting the game. The might and magic board game comes to mind, if you didn't read their faq or watched someone play it on youtube you couldn't really play since the Polish devs forgot to mention some really important stuff. We were 5 people scratching our heads when we tried to play it.

I guess it could have been a really poor translation (well, it did have a lot of spelling errors) but having important facts falling away isn't much more impressive.

I am getting some visitors Sunday so I might be less active for 2-3 days depending on how long they stay.

Once that is done, I am going to start working on something for the region. I am on vacation next week too and my company is only running 40% still due to the pandemic, seems like people don't buy many trucks right now (I mainly makes parts for Volvo, Renault and MAN) so I should have plenty of spare time.

Sorry to hear, hopefully you are still being properly compensated. I have a few friends in the car business and inventory is low here in the states, driving up prices against the consumer as incentives are decreased. Industry leads commerce, and commerce leads countries.

Actually, getting down in time for companies in crises was part of the government Corona packet so while I am going down a bit it isn't actually so much so that part is fine. But things need to pick up soon or I will get unemployed which is bad. I like my job and the people I work with and finding a new job now would be pretty bad.

Sweden's economy is so far not so terrible hit by the crisis but since US and UK are among our 2 largest export countries and they got badly hit that affect us, and goes twice for anyone making trucks and cars since that is the first thing you avoid buying new under a recession.

I am not sure where you guys are all from but I think most of you feel this too anyways, since the global economy have been taking a hit. I hope this crap get over soon so we can go back to our lives. In my case it hasn't been to bad yet, my county had 9 dead over the entire crises (out of 200 000) so things here are pretty normal now. Our toilette paper never even ran out. In Sweden Stockholm totally blew the ball and got hit similarly to New York screwing up our numbers and they were too stupid to close down but at least were smart enough to not spread it to the rest of the country. So besides the economy and people staying the summer in country things are pretty normal here. That might change but so far so good.

Lol, yeah that do give us a bit to do but when the economy go down sales of new stuff tend to go the same way and I think the transport industry in Europe have been taken a bad hit lately with all borders closed.

Renault was going pretty badly last year already when the economy was good so they are taking a huge hit right now. Most of what I made lately go to Volvo and MAN.

I am not sure how the problems with China will affect the whole thing either, clearly the world is upset on them over Hong Kong but how that will affect the economy and transport sector is anyone guess. I do think the UK are in problem, Brexit + Pandemic + annoying the Chinese at the same time equals some instability.

But the economy have always gone up and down so it might be tough for a while but after rain comes sunshine. Even if I loose my job I tend to find something new relatively quickly. I guess I wont buy that Mustang I am saving up for in that case but I will be fine. I did lost my job in the last 2 economic crisis but I have always rebounded and I don't have any huge bills to pay.

Currently we have just 1 car but I would like to find a older pickup and just redo it so to avoid another car payment.

That is why I been trying to save up instead. I wasn't planning on buying a new one (the new mustang is kinda ugly anyways), more like a 10 year old. I don't think my old crappy Opel will last forever.

I have to admit that I ain't particularly good at welding but luckily enough I do work at a place with some experts in that department (which is why my old car still is working). I mean, I can weld but there is a huge difference between that and being an expert. You really don't want your car to fall apart on the highway. :)

I am assuming you live outside of the city to since you need a pickup? I live a bit in the forest, there are 6 houses and my nearest neighbors are sheep.

Well at least you have a real job, that isn't just a pain

I get $8 an hour to sit in the sun and get heatstroke all day, while occasionally putting a bunch of New Yorkers who for some reason come to the beach I work at into boats, when they don't know how to row, or in a lot of cases even how to get into a boat.

Ouch. Yeah, that sounds painful.
I get the point though, we don't see many New Yorkers here but we do have German tourists and people from Stockholm... Neither is very popular with the locals.

I like working with machines, they don't talk down to people and do what you tell them. If the machines do something wrong it is my failing, tourists tend to do stupid things for no reason and there isn't much you can do to stop them. I also admit that I ain't great with heat and boy is it hot here tonight.

Sweden isn't as cold and dark as many people think, I think we had less then 2 weeks of snow where I live last winter (up in the far north it was a bit different but you have to be a bit odd to willingly live up there).

I'm out from town a little, I would like it to be more though. My driveway is .6 of a mile long in the woods. The less neighbors the better, no drama.

Ha! That's typically the case, but not where I live. Almost everyone in the community I live in is a complete Karen soccer mom, who have nothing better to do than to butt into other people's business.

In my case I currently have 16 mbits in and 2 out but the fiber line should arrive in August. It do cost $2000 bucks but it is worth it. But then I don't live that far away from from the city, takes me 20 minutes to get to work. And it is bloody wonderful when I get home from work in the middle of the night and can take a shower and put on some music really loud without my neighbors even noticing it.

My closest neighbors is a Danish/finish hippie couple and they are cool, then one of their sons have a small house and he is nice if he ever goes away from his computer. The sheep farmer is slightly nosy but he lives a bit away and we don't really interact much. Maybe he is scared of long haired metal guys (the gamer is also a long haired metal guy) or something.

It takes me 7 minutes to get to the tiny closest store or 15 to a large one so I ain't living that far away. The only painful thing is to get home from the pub, there is like half an hour and the buss connection sucks. Otherwise I am pretty happy here, until a few years back I lived in central Malmö and that sucked totally (besides the pub thing). And it is really great to have a garden.

I had the starting of a garden but between the crazy weather and the deer, not much to talk about now. Did manage to save 10 cucumber plants by transferring them behind my deck.
