Night terrors, nightmares, bad or scary dreams are likely to occur more frequently in the transition months between Winter and Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. As nature begins to reawaken, another great reawakening begins to happen in our subconscious states, and we are, therefore left with curiousities that we cannot control that take over when we are asleep. Since we are so connected to nature, it is possible to have vivid dreams that are especially difficult to comprehend. Nightmares that unravel our very beings are quite common, but some of the following are most difficult to get over and stop thinking about.

Visions of shadow people: Shadow people that visit our dreams are quite common in periods of heavy transition. Consider what is happening in your daily life that might have caused your subconscious to bring in a shadow person. Other interpretations believe that a shadow person is your rejection of a significant part of yourself. Who you were has, in some way or part, undergone a change.

Visions of shadow people with glowing eyes: be wary if the eyes were red, for they foretell danger ahead. Yellow eyes are guides, while orange ones tell you to stay cautious.

Flooding: Floods of any kind in dreams usually warn you to be very aware of deep-seated emotional distress that you are currently undergoing or will undergo soon. Dreams of flooding warn you that you are emotionally unstable and may need to cry in your waking life. Be warned that, if you do not let it out, other ailments will come to you.

Snow: Dreaming of snow in the Spring usually denotes that something will pass you by quickly in your life. White things such as snow, a blank piece of paper, or cotton, in dreams denote things will progress quickly in your life. You might miss opportunities. You need to think fast.

Flowers: There is another section in this series discussing flowers, but if you dream of black flowers or wilted ones, you will hear bad news. Blue flowers are a sign that you may feel sad soon or you will get a letter. Yellow flowers in dreams mean that a friend may be thinking of you. White flowers mean you need to be careful. Pink, purple, and fuschia flowers usually denote happiness and surprise in one's waking life. Meanwhile, red flowers denote love is on its way to you or you are highly passionate about something. You should pursue your dreams. If a red flower is covered in black, it means someone will backstab you.

Blood: People are often scared of seeing blood in dreams for its connection to violence and death. However, in nightmares about blood, the message is that the dreamer is likely being drained of their own energy. Something is taking too much of the dreamer's energy in his or her waking life. They must slow down.

Spiritual visitors/lights: Many people also report seeing spiritual visitors or very bright lights in their dreams. Again, this is our subconscious working together with nature to give us hints of what is to come. Spiritual guides are discussed in another chapter. Often, people are spooked by such Beings. However, they usually come to us to provide comfort.

Here is an excerpt from Patient LM, a student of Medicinal Sciences at Horrorlandian State University:
"For several weeks before my finals, I was anxious, I couldn't sleep, and I thought I waa gonna fail the semester. I dreamt of a light one need before my April exams. There was a voice. It told me everything would be okay and I shouldn't worry."

As we can see from this dream, bright lights are usually our subconscious guides that are there to lead the way when we feel troubled. Listen to these Beings as they are your Guardian Angels in life. They will not visit if you do not believe. Therefore, you must not be scared and you must keep an open mind.
