I'm pleased to announce that Yolyra has achieved the requirements for the rank of Bailiff, making their fiefdom a hamlet. Additionally with the reduction in renown requirements I, Haganham now meet the requirements for the rank of Duke.
Additionally I've sent out some recruitment telegrams, I have some stamps left over on The Lake- and got some here whe I bought the postmaster perk so I'd be good to use those up while I set up a scripted recruitment. Later I'd like to get manual recruitment up and running and "hire" some people to do that, but only once I've got some people settled in. I don't much like recruiting until I have people settled in and familiar with the region so they can represent it.
In that case i'd be pleased to have you on as a heraldist. I'm off to work now, but I have some ideas on what we could do to get started.
It looks like we got several new people over the weekend. The unified states of the atlantic, Fatlandica, Poerh, Lattorratakistan, Andronician Empire, Anarchistpigs
Hello! What made you choose to move to Palatine? Are you new to nationstates? What is your nation like?
They're a really toxic region. Fascist, host a bunch of really unpleasant people, and used to attack other regions before people started stomping any of their military activity.
Hello. I very recently created my NationStates account and am quite clueless about stuff here, but I am eager to learn and roleplay. I joined Palatine region because I like the medieval region premise, and have also joined the regional Discord and applied to join the WA as per the rules. Thank you.
Hey all i've started a poll to try to determine what area of roleplay to start off with. I must confess i am not very experenced with roleplay with other players, mostly doing games and worldbuilding, but i'm still interested in seeing what people come up with.
I'm glad to have you. have you though about what sort of realm you might make? also you should have gotten your invitation email from the WA by now.
Komrat
Thank you. Yes, I have received the link and joined the WA.👍
Regarding my realm, I don't have any concrete plans right now about how to design my realm, though I guess I can go for a military-focused, warlord sort of realm, and perhaps I can try to achieve the rank of Knight here as well by gaining prestige?
yes, well kinda, knight is gained through military gameplay(though I might rejigger ranks to change that) which we don't do yet(I say, even though I am doing it). You could be a baron(in historical terms a rank up from knight) quite easily though. I've cut the prestige requirement down. I'd quite like to get someone up to the rank of baron so I can put them on the map.
Komrat
Oh ok, I will try to gain the rank of a a baron then. So, one question, how can I earn prestige to increase my rank to that of a Baron?
I can make you a coat of arms. Do you know what sort of elements you would like included? As for increasing prestige the two ways we have now are making heraldry and recruiting new nations.
Komrat
Ok, understood. Thanks! Regarding my coat of arms, here is a code of the blazon I created at Drawshield. Is it alright?
yep, I would recommend substituting purple though, since it is a super unusual color for heraldry, both because it was restricted to emperors, and also because it was extremely expensive.
excellent. Rounvaile, Komrat since you are familiar with draw shield if either of you would like to become heraldists I have some official heraldry that needs to be done. there's enough of them to total 5000+2500 for being a heraldist, enough to qualify a person as a baron.
I've given you the heraldist role on the discord server, it has a list of those we need, and when someone qualifies for heraldry I'm going to start asking people to help them there.
