In 1871, as Bismarck and the German Nobility and Prussian High Command crowned Wilhelm von Hohenzollern as German Emperor, no one would think that the Reich would remain an Empire in peace engaging in Economic activity across the globe. If you look from abroad, the German Empire is a prosperous central European nation, holding with 60 years of Economic growth, internal stability, and national security. Many would call the Wilhelmine Period which began with the resignation of Chancellor Otto von Bismarck the greatest period of Stability and Prosperity in German History. Germany is one of, if not the most industrialized countries in the world and has a proud military standard and doctrine that dates back to the creation of the Kingdom of Prussia. However, inside the Halls of the Reichstag, Germany's political situation has gotten tense at best. 1912 began a rise of the Social Democratic Party that only strengthened after the 1929 New York Stock Market Crash and the Great Recession. To counter the threat, Chancellor Kuno Graf von Westarp organized a coalition of the National Liberal Party, the German Conservative Party, and the German Imperial Party. In 1932, the catholic, German Center Party, led by Franz von Papen, joined the coalition. However, since 1917, there was a growing rise in the German Far-Right. Initially founded by Wolfgang Kapp, the German Fatherland Party has gathered an alliance of Militarists who wished to implement Wilhelmine Foreign Policy, Ultranationalists who wish to unite all Germanic people under Prussian dominance, and Right-Wing Populists who see Class Collaboration and Producerist Capitalism as the only alternative to Socialism. The 1937 Election is expected to be the most important election in German history, determining the future of Kaiserreich and possibly the entire world. Now let's meet the figures of this RP.

Social Democratic Party: The SPD has since the 1880s and later in the 1910s has the champion of German Leftism and Radicalism. Created out of Marxist Philosophy and Trade Unions, the Party seems to be the greatest threat to the old order. Ideologically Socialist, the SPD wishes to nationalize industries and give control of the means of production to the worker, as well as strengthen the rights of Trade Unions, and improve worker conditions. In the 1920s, the SPD embraced progressivism, calling for the introduction of women's rights and decriminalization of homosexuality. However, the SPD is split into three factions on how to implement Socialism and Socialist foreign policy. The Social Democrats, led by Party Chairman Otto Wels, advocate for the democratic, gradual, and peaceful transition to Socialism, as well as advocating for workers' solidarity. The Social Democrats have also received the support of the Progressive Peoples Party, the FVP. The Independent Socialists, led by Deputy Party Chairman Arthur Crispien, have advocated for more direct implementation of Socialism, but still advocate for achieving it through democratic means. The Revolutionary Socialists, led by Karl Liebknecht, have advocated that the only way to implement Socialism was by a worker's revolution and uprising against the Kaiser, where workers and common soldiers would band together against the Conservative establishment. Although not having much support within the SPD Leadership, the Revolutionary Socialists have formed separate paramilitaries including the Rotfrontkämpferbund (Red Front Fighters' League), Antireaktionär Aktion (Anti-Reactionary Action), and Kampfbund gegen den Reaktionäre (Fighting League against Reactionaries). In foreign policy, both the Social Democrats and Independent Socialists are relatively pacifists who wish to strengthen Socialism in Germany, while the Revolutionaries call for the invasion of European Monarchies to support their Socialist movements to light the match that will burn into the World Revolution.

Grand Coalition: The Grand Coalition is the current ruling government of the German Empire, made up of the Zentrum Party, the National Liberal Party, the Conservative Party, and the Reich Party. Currently led by Kuno Graf von Westarp, the Coalition wishes to maintain the status quo, but also wishes to begin militarization and the creation of a German colony in Africa, as well as some sympathy to the DVLP's foreign policy against Russia. However, the Grand Coalition has begun to fracture since the 1932 Election. Franz von Papen's hold over Zentrum is weakening, with Heinrich Brüning calling for Zentrum to exit the grand coalition and consolidate with its regional members and organizations. Christian Trade Unions within Zentrum have also begun passive support and alignment of the Progressive Peoples Party and the Social Democrats. Within some Conservative circles, however, is the calling to form a more broad party. Known as the Conservative Peoples Association, they support the unification of the Conservative Party, the Imperial Party, and the National Liberal Party into the Conservative Peoples Party, which would embrace popular conservativism and become the Protestant equivalent to the Catholic Zentrum. These reformists lead to many Traditionalists within the Imperial Party and the Conservatives defecting to the DVLP, leaving the Grand Coalition in a weak position for the 1937 Elections.

German Fatherland Party: The DVLP was formed in 1917 by Admiral Alfred von Tirpitz and Wolfgang Kapp to combat the rising Socialist movement. However, the DVLP became the Far-Right opposition, made up of Militarists who wishes for the implementation of Wilhelmine Foreign Policy (which would see the Baltic States, Belgium, Finland, Poland, and Ukraine become German puppet states), Pan-Germanists who supported an invasion of Austria and the annexation of Austria, Bohemia, and Slovenia. Right-Wing Populists attempted to challenge Socialism by promoting class collaboration and some National Syndicalist policies, Imperialists who wish to see Germany form a large colony in the Congo and Central Africa, as well as Anti-Parliamentarian Traditionalists who had a disdain for the Reichstag. The Fatherland Party received support from various Right-Wing organizations including the Pan-German League, the German Eastern Marches Society, the German Colonial Society, the German Navy League, the Queen Louise League, and Agrarian League, and the German Antisemitic Society. Aside from Militarism and Right-Wing Populism, the main goal of the DVLP is the formation of a Military Dictatorship. The Camarilla, a group of Heer officers comprised of Walther von Lüttwitz, Eduard Ritter von Schleich, Ferdinand von Bredow, Kurt von Hammerstein-Equord, Fedor von Bock, Eugen Ott, Erwin Planck, Walter von Reichenau, Walter von Brauchitsch, Werner von Blomberg, and Max Bauer has supported General Kurt von Schleicher, becoming Chancellor. Schleicher is infamous for his friendship with the Crown Prince, and many see him as the only contender that would gain the support of Emperor Wilhelm II.

Economically, the German Empire is seen by many as the contender to the Anglo-American-dominated global market, with the Reich engaging in trade with the Ottoman Empire, Austria-Hungary, the Kingdom of Greece, the Kingdom of Romania, the Tsardom of Bulgaria, the Imperial State of Iran, Brazil, Argentina, and Sweden. Many within the Reich promote the idea of a formation of a German-dominated Economic Bloc and customs union that would see possible German puppet states in Europe be directly tied and controlled by Berlin. While supported by the Grand Coalition, others, especially in the DVLP, prefer that mass rearmament and the creation of Corporatist-economic policies and public works would stimulate and nurture the economy. The Armed Forces are one of the strongest and most capable in the world, with German military leadership, especially the Great German General Staff, being the most capable military leadership in the world. Recently, members of the Heer and of the Kriegsmarine have advocated against the traditional Infantry and Battleships doctrine that has dominated warfare for centuries. Led by Eric von Manstein, they have been promoting the implementation of armored units which would punch through enemy infantry and have superior speed, as well as the expansion of the Imperial Army Air Service into a proper airforce. Within the Kreigsmarine, Admiral Karl Donitz has promoted the long-forgotten doctrine of unrestricted submarine warfare as he says that no matter what Germany could do, they could never outproduce the British in terms of Battleships and Aircraft Carriers. Erich Raeder on the other hand prefers the creation of Battlecruisers and more Battleships in the policy of "Plan Z".
