A New Island Nueva Ayala, the newest addition to the republic, has been turned over to Eluthanian control after an agreement was made between Brksber and Eluthania. The island is the target of particular interest by the Directorate, who spearheaded the acquisition of the island to extend Eluthanian reach in the Faighia. The Directorate has already given the local government increased autonomy due to the distance from the mainland and differing backgrounds of its inhabitants. Population Minimum Met in Nueva Naltrin With an additional 575 settlers arriving in the newly acquired territory of Nueva Naltrin, the area has reached a population of more than 1,000, shifting control of the territory from the Ministry of the Commonwealth to the people of the area. While they will not have representation in Parliament (as the territory is not a province), they will be allowed to elect their own governor, with an election to be held next week. Along with this, a regional airport is to be constructed, though it will only be using smaller planes, as the arctic conditions would it make it harder for any commercial aircraft to fly and land, not to mention the costs to create a larger commercial airport in such a remote location. The Cilician Emergency Begins Just under a week after the democratic elections in Lettonian cilicia, and the nation has fallen into chaos. The Cilician Communist Party (CCP) refused to accept the results of the election. They claimed it was stolen, fraudulent and that the Democratic-Republican coalition of Mia Reeves and Randall Wicks hadn't actually won the election, and that Lincoln Samuels was the single victor of the election. Unable to accept the results, they staged protests in multiple large cities. These protests soon escalated into riots, and then they exploded out of control on the 20th, when Lincoln Samuels made this address: "March on Kio, and make your voices heard!"
