Vote Against SC resolution Condemn North Korea
Ministry Review
Written by Hms unicorn
This is another in a series of poor resolutions to reach quorum in the Security Council. The resolution is badly written, in terms of both content and style. The author themselves have acknowledged that this is a rather poor draft and that they should not have submitted it, though unfortunately they did not request to have it removed from the queue in time.
The region nominated for a condemnation has done very little to warrant any attention, let alone a full condemnation by the WA. The main bullet point in the list of "condemnable" actions is the refounding of the region Slavya. While unwarranted refounding is generally condemnable, a single instance of this action hardly makes a region worth a condemnation - otherwise, we would be condemning hundreds of regions.
For these reasons, we recommend a vote against this resolution.
