The Constitution of the Republic of Adawn

In order to preserve freedom and democracy and Conservatism in the name of the Almighty, the Constitution of the Republic of Adawn has been formed to be of the people, by the people, and for the people.

I. Article l.

Section I:
• An executive branch is formed for the government.
• The executive branch is the President and his/her administration and the following positions will be head of that department/In that adminstration.

President
Vice-President
Secretary of State
Secretary of Defense
Secretary of Homeland Security
Secretary of Commerce
Secretary of Health
Secretary of Transportation
Secretary of Urban Development
Secretary of Finance
Attorney General

•The President will be head of the administration
•Every 4 years, a national election will be called for the seat of President. That President is allowed to be in that position no more than for 2 consecutive terms.
•The requirements to be a Presidential candidate, is to be at least 20 years of age, but no more than 75. Also, you must be born in Adawn, and have no criminal record.
•The President may select his own cabinet/administration.
•The President has the power of veto unless 3/5 or more of Congress votes In favor of a bill.

Section II:

•The legislative branch shall be formed.
•There shall be 2 groups that shall reside within the legislative branch, the Senate, and the House of Representatives. Together, the 2 groups are called Congress.
•There shall be 65 Senate members, with 2 year terms, while the Representatives shall hold a seat of 120 with 3 year terms. There is no limit for how much you may get reelected.
•Congress role is to propose laws and the House Speaker will put it to vote. If it is 3/5 or more in favor of a bill, it can override the Presidents veto.
•If a justice has resigned, or died, or have been impeached, the House Speaker is allowed to look for another Judicial candidate to replace the previous one. The House of Representatives will take a vote to see if the candidate qualities, and if over 4/7 approves the candidate, he will be put into the Judicial system.
•The Senate has the authority to call for Congress for the impeachment of the President. Over 1/2 of the Senate has to agree to the calling, then 2/3 majority of Congress is needed to remove the President. Vice-President is second in line of the Presidency.

Section III

•The Judicial system shall be formed, completing all the branches which are in government.
•There will be 4 different levels of the Major Court System, here is the following:

District Major Court
County Major Court
National Major Court

• There shall be 9 Justices on the Court, one of them being Chief Justice.
•The requirements for being a Justice is to be a natural born citizen, no criminal record, have a college degree in political science, and must be at least 30 years of age, but no more than 70. Once a Justice is 70 years old, he will then be released of his duties.

Article II

•The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.

Article III:
•All debts contracted and engagements entered into, before the adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the Republic under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

This Constitution, and the laws of the Republic which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the Republic, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the Republic and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the Republic.
