Nesapoli Recruitment Guide

So, you've decided you want to help recruit for our region. The efforts of all recruiters are appreciated immensely, and luckily it's not even a difficult job! Perhaps you don't know where to start, however. With the help of this brief, straight-to-the-point guide, you'll be out there and adding new members to our community in no time at all!

1. Obtain a copy of our recruitment telegram.

The first step is to grab a copy of our template for yourself. The template can be found here, and is almost ready to use as-is; there's only one minor detail you need to change. See the very bottom, where it's signed "YOUR NATION HERE"? Erase everything between the [nation][/nation] tags, and replace it with your own nation name (don't include pretitles! For example, I would write "Bodobol" in that space, NOT "The Social Democracy of Bodobol").

2. From this telegram, create your own template to send out.

Your telegram is now fully written! For the next step, you'll want to copy and paste the whole thing into a telegram, and in the "To:" field, write "tag:template" (without the quotation marks). Make sure to mark the telegram as a recruitment telegram (this can be done by clicking the grey arrow next to the "To:" field, where you'll find the option to do that)! You will receive a code for your template, which will be in the format of %TEMPLATE-xxxxxxxx%. Save this code somewhere! You're going to be using that code in every single telegram you send out.

3. Start recruiting!

You're ready to go! To start sending out telegrams, find "The World" page on the sidebar. Hover over it, and click the "Activity" page when it shows up. In the top right, click "Foundings" under the "Movement" subsection. Or, if you don't feel like doing that, this is a link to the page you want to end up at. Open up several links to new nations in new tabs (I like to get 5-10 at a time). Wire telegrams to each of them; when you get to their nation page, scroll down, and in the telegram field, simply paste your template link, send the telegram, and move on to the next nation. Don't get discouraged if not many nations move; recruitment telegrams usually only have a 1-5% conversion rate. But just keep going at it, and you'll be recruiting plenty of nations in no time!

As a side note, we don't want to foster hatred in our region, so take care to check the names and flags of nations you're sending telegrams to. If they have names or flags associated with Nazism or hateful ideologies (such as white supremacism), go ahead and skip over them. Also keep in mind that overly obscene names are against the rules of NationStates, so sending telegrams to them is also a waste as they will be deleted soon.
