The House of Conflent was a dynasty of Caelapene counts, dukes, and kings that ruled present-day Caelapes for 760 years. The royal house reigned from 1247 until the abdication of King Ricardus II on April 30, 2007, with the creation of the Federation of Caelapes. Ricardus III refused to take the throne without approval by the newly-elected Parliament, which did not take action. When the Rose Revolution swept away the Federation in January 2016, the house became defunct. Surviving members fled Caelapes to avoid arrest by revolutionaries.
Heraldry
The coat of arms of the House of Conflent is a maroon field filled with silver lozenges. In heraldic terms, it is blazoned lozengy argent and murrey.
