Constitution
Section IA Friendly Nation
This constitution lays out our basic system of government. Every level of our government systematically balances each other in a fair and transparent way so the people always know what legislation is being discussed, which helps citizens avoid corruption in the government.
Section II
Establishing Justice
Our nation is one of order and freedom. We are not an aggressive state we are peace seekers. Our government is trusted not feared by the people. Progress is not achieved through fear and oppression of the people. Human Rights are the most important things we have.
PRZ Justice System
The Government of the PRZ consists of a judicial system overseen by a Justice. All person(s) no mater of the crime in the PRZ has the right to an attorney and a jury present before a Justice may make any ruling. The PRZ does not recognize capitol punishment.
Houses of Congress
In the PRZ every two years all ten states vote into office representatives that fill seats in both the Senate and Capitol
•Senators serve by drafting legislation for issues requested by the people and sending the bills to the Capitol to be debated, killed or in some cases rewritten before being sent to the Office of the President. Every election two Senators from each state are voted into the Senate. The Senate is made up of 20 Senators.
•Representatives work in the Capitol, there they serve by debating issues sent to them by the Senate before choosing to dismiss, rewrite, or send the issue to the office of the President. Every election four Representatives from each state are voted into the Capitol. The Capitol is made up of 40 Representatives and the Capitol Speaker. At he beginning of every term the elected Representatives will choose a Capitol Speaker with an anonymous vote. The Capitol Speaker is chosen by a vote in the Capitol and solely the choice of the Capitol.
Section III
The President
The Office of the President is the highest legislative authority in the PRZ. The President is elected by the people once every five years with a referendum vote. The President reserves the right to makes the final decision on all laws passed by both the Senate and the Capitol. In addition the President has the authority to issue Executive Commands. Once issued an Executive Command immediately becomes law on PRZ territory. An Executive Command can be overturned by either a majority vote by Congress or if ruled unconstitutional by the Unity Council.
Section IV
Impeachment
A President can be impeached from office. Any President abusing power can be removed from power upon a majority vote in the Senate and the Capitol. In the event of an impeachment the Capitol Speaker will serve as President until a referendum vote for a new President is held.
Section V
Executive Council
Upon assuming power the President will appoint a council who will oversee their respective agencies while regularly keeping the President up to date on information regarding their agencies. The selection of council is at the will of the President.
Section VI
Unity Council
The Unity Council is the highest judicial authority in the PRZ. Consisting of 10 Council Justices, one from each state. Council Justices are elected every 10 years. They retain the power to ultimately make the final judgements on all cases brought before them. They even retain the right to rule laws passed by both the President and Congress unconstitutional.
Establishes Chokanah as an official territory of The PRZ. Further recognizes all Chokanah persons including any children born within Chokanah as legal PRZ Citizens. Recognizes the rights of Chokanah citizens as the same federal, state, and local rights that PRZ citizens share. Declares it a Crime Against The Peoples Republic to violate the sovereignty of Chokanah and authorizes our armed forces to defend the territory using the same use of force as defending a soverign state of The PRZ.
The Senate have unanimously voted in favor of this amendment to limit powers the Office of the President currently retains within Section II of this constitution. This amendment removes the President's authority to elect Capitol Representatives. This amendment also adds more transparency to all Capitol closed door sessions by requiring Closed Door sessions be publicly announced at least 24 hours before taking place.
This amendment establishes a line of succession within the PRZ government. In the event that the acting President is unable or unfit to serve it will be; (1) Vice President (2) Secretary of State (3) Chief of National Security (4) Secretary of Defense (5) Capitol Speaker who will be sworn in as the temporary President until the Capitol and the Senate establish a referendum vote to determine who will serve as the next President.
This amendment recognizes The Office of the President's authority to show clemency to a person who has violated the law of the PRZ (except in cases of political corruption). A Pardon can be issued by the President however it can ultimately be overturned by a majority vote from The Senate or the Capitol.
This amendment establishes that no person may serve as President for longer than three standard five year terms. Any candidate that attempts to run for election after serving the maximum allowed terms shall be found in violation of Crimes Against the People's Republic.
All natural born PRZ citizens are automatically registered to vote upon reaching their 17th birthday. This amendment also recognizes election day as an official government holiday.
Part I:
Recognizes any child born within PRZ territory as a legal PRZ Citizen. The PRZ further more shall aid the legal guardians of the child born in the PRZ by covering the costs for their legal citizenship status requiring (a) the parent has not been previously charged with a serious crime (b) that both parents undergo the necessary legal requirements for citizenship.
Part II:
Recognizes the rights of foreign citizens who have been granted legal citizenship status the right to vote in all federal, state, and local elections. Declares it a Sanctioned crime to obstruct the voting rights of any citizen regardless of sex, race, religion, or country of origin.
